We’ve become regulars at this diner, which we first found on Unilocal several months back. The food is delicious and well-priced, and the owners and waitstaff are always friendly. Food appears quickly(typically no more than a 5 – 7 minute wait) and is always great. I usually get the egg white ham and cheese omelette, and it’s so good that I’m usually craving it again by the next weekend. I’m the kind of person who always gets the same thing, but the variety of breakfast items(particularly the rotating specials) at this place is part of its appeal; friends I’ve brought have typically loved their food too. The ambience is very casual, but that’s exactly what I look for in my weekend brunch places. No complaints at all.

Basically a diner in a house that looks like it could have been something cuter or more creative with some inspiration. French toast(come in 1 piece) was bland, dry boring. The bacon was razor thin and looked like the fully cooked microwave kind you get at the supermarket.

Mmm… the cinnamon swirl glazed french toast is seriously worth coming here for! They make their own cinnamon swirl bread and the french toast is somehow gooey on the inside but crunchy on the outside– absolute perfection! I was meeting a friend for breakfast and she had chosen the place– when I initially heard the name«Meadow Street Bistro» I think I had anticipated something fancier– but it’s a no-frills causal place. All of the food is very affordable– my absolutely delicious french toast was only $ 5.50! I cannot wait until my next trip home to CT so that I can stop here to get my cinnamon swirl glazed french toast fix… I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

It’s a cute little diner with plenty of parking and no wait even on weekends. Unfortunately the food and service leave some room for improvement. Our waiter was friendly but inattentive. Though the restaurant didn’t seem busy, the food was a long time coming out. When it finally came it was unimpressive: overly sweet cinammon bread, lunch meat filled omelette and reheated paper thin bacon.

Terrific breakfast. Clean, bright décor, great service. Known for their glazed cinnamon French toast, a must for the first timer!!!

I love this place! Have loved it since I was a little girl and my mom would take me for breakfast on Saturday mornings. I will say that I miss the cow décor a little, but the place looks great with a fresh coat of paint and less clutter! The service is always friendly and accommodating. The food is always phenomenal! You need to get their signature glazed toast. It’s a slice of their made in house cinnamon swirl bread, french toast style, and a delicious sugary glaze on top. The best part is they somehow make the french toast crispy. I hate soggy french toast, and this is the only place that I will order it because I know what I’m going to get. A must go to whenever I am in town!

We went for Sunday breakfast. Obviously they are not hurting for business, but we won’t be in the mix again. I ordered a cheese omelet with sausage, and said I like it moist. It was really dry. The hash browns were, luckily completly burnt, so it was easy to resist them. My husband ordered bananna bread french toast that had never seen any bananna. Overall, not worth the trip.

Big fan! New name: Meadow Muffins Bistro. Same great taste… just got better! These portions are huge and include new specials every week! New fresh look inside, brighter with a much trendier but casual ambience! Check’em out for sure.

Same owners. Slightly different name. The name changed from Meadow Muffins Restaurant to Meadow Street Bistro. At the same time they updated the interior(I recognize a few Ikea items :-) The food still remains the same which focuses on breakfast and lunch items. I recommend getting whatever is written on the specials board. To give you an idea of their breakfast depth, they offer three different styles of pancakes: buttermilk, cornmeal, or buckwheat. By the way, they close at 2:30PM on the weekdays and 2:00PM on the weekends. They’re not open on Mondays.

Now I usually do not give out 5 stars but I am just commenting on what I had this morning and it was perhaps the best Belgium Waffle that I ever had perfectly waffled not one dry spot in it with cranberries that made extra moist [a perfect waffle] and a almost forgotten condiment a syrup jar on the table instead of syrup in plastic container on the side of the plate. 1 waffle with cranberries 2 cups of coffee $ 10.00

Oh Meadow Muffins. How many times have I ended up here in the morning after a long night out… This place definitely has a unique taste in decorating, but don’t let that discourage you; it is quality food. It is usually packed on the weekends from 9−11ish but you can get in earlier and later. The staff is attentive, friendly and helpful and the food is good. They have daily specials and some classics like french toast made with their own challah bread. The veggies are fresh in their omelets and the home fries are done just right. If you are in a hurry the Bacon egg & Cheese is really good too and currently holds 2nd place on my list.

Their Breakfasts are delectable and always made to order!!! The waitresses are friendly and seem to be happy with working there! The portions are absolutely filling and the assortment is great! Good ambience although not a lot of room. Always a line on the weekends, but when it’s great. you have to expect it! Hmmmm… reminds me, I have to get their bacon, egg and cheese on a fresh hard roll to go this weekend!
