GREATPLACE with multiple BBall fields, 8 tennis courts, Track, playground, picnic areas & a paved walking trail that goes by the River & inlet. They don’t allow dogs. HUGELY disappointing.

I have been here years ago and completely forgot about the park until I had a baby and decided it would be a great place to go for a walk. We live in East Haven but come over as there is nothing as nice in our town. Our little guy is too little(8 weeks) to use any of the equipment, but it’s a beautiful place to push a stroller and enjoy the weather. Saturday mornings are the busiest but it is such a large park that it does not feel cramped. They have a restroom which is fairly clean. There are a couple different picnic/pavilion areas, a basketball court, multiple tennis courts, a couple playgrounds and a volleyball court. I can’t wait until our guy is bigger and can enjoy the swings and slide.

I’m so lucky as to live nearby this beautiful park! Many mornings, this is my preferred walking route, especially as there is a path that has a view of the harbor and neighboring marinas. And for the sports-minded, there are many amenities as well. Great playground for small children, with a large sandbox as well as swings, a jungle gym, etc.

I love this park! It has playgrounds, tennis courts, places to run, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, the works. Or if you just want to sit and enjoy views of the river running to the ocean, that’s awesome too. There’s a nice walking trail. We like to walk to the park from our house, walk around the trail, sit for a bit and then come home. A good hour of exercise in a beautiful park. If you have kids there are amazing playgrounds all over the place.
