Mellow Mushroom

I like this place. I really do. I just can’t put their pizza on my favorite list. Their hoagies are very good. But every pizza I’ve had here is just good. Not great. The best part of the pizza is the crust. But that should be the last thing I notice. But the place has a cool vibe. It just really doesn’t make me crave pizza. Cappys is a better pick.

Pizza here is fantastic. First time I had muffuletta bruschetta. Kalamata olives were delicious. Second time I had the roasted potato pizza. It was so good. The whole grain crust added to the robust flavor. My daughter loves the French bread pizza. The only drawback is that the restaurant is very noisy. Both times it was full of people, which is understandable. Highly recommend.

We had the Jerk Chicken and Turkey Hoagies which were both fantastic. Our server, Caitlyn, was awesome and made the visit fun. We will be back!

Always receive good service and excellent pizza. Try the Mediterranean pizza. Good price, nice atmosphere and great service. We just ate there again this evening. Highly recommend it!

This is my wife and I’s go to restaurant when we don’t feel like cooking or want pizza. Been going here for 2 years about 1 – 2 a month and have never had a bad experience.
The wait staff is almost always on point/​friendly and the restaurant is clean. If you have ever been to a Mellow Mushroom you know about their signature wacky mushroom décor (hippy, beatles, stoner style) its a bit strange but part of the experience I suppose.
At most restaurants I have one or two set things that I eat, but I can honestly say I have sampled most items. I have to recommend the red skin potato pie pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza. The hoagies are also delicious!
If you are tired of other pizza joints not living up to your expectations I would suggest you try Mellow Mushroom.
⁹⁄₁₀ would eat again.

Very good !!! I have never had one issue with this place !!! I completely recommend … Ok one small think the high chairs do not reach the tables. So not really the best place for the little ones. Since most of the tables are high… However i still go… That’s why I dropped a star :(

Delish pizza and pretzels! We love going here with our kids (2.5 and 1)! They love their pizza and they serve milk and apples for kids! It’s the best place for a guaranteed good dinner/​lunch for your littles… and happy parents :)
The Parmesan pretend are delicious and I could eat just that for my entire meal. They are so yummy!
We did try the honey pretzels for dessert and those are not our favorite. The ratio of sweetness wasn’t right and it’s just honey poured on the bread with sprinkling of cinnamon. Not our favorite.
Service is always great and fast!

For a hippy joint, this place has some dang good pizza. The crust is wheat and very flavorful. The cheese really compliments the sauce. All of the toppings are fresh and they pretty much have every topping you can think of. A little more expensive than Papa Johns but way worth it.

I liked it in here. It was mellow as the name hints. I got the pepperoni pizza which I enjoyed and I don’t remember what my friend got.
It reminds me of a Dennys only with a different than and more of a dinner menu.

So, my friend on Facebook has been raving about Mellow Mushroom for years. She lives in another state and I never knew there were Mellow Mushrooms locally. I just so happened to go to the Chase bank over on Causeway one day and saw the sign for Mellow Mushroom. I was with my coworker and my waistline was telling me to go the salad spot that is in the same strip mall, but my inner (and outer) fatty said no to rabbit food and hello to cheesy goodness.
We walked in and were seated right away. The décor was dope and the waitress was cool too. After being overwhelmed by copious amounts of pizza choices, my coworker and I opted for the Mushroom Club and the Veg Out pizza which was on the gluten free menu, but we were able to get it non gluten free, because you know eff healthy if your gonna cheat on a diet, cheat all the damn way!
It took a while to get our food, but it was worth the wait because man oh man that was some seriously tasty stuff. I don’t know what the hell they put in that mushroom club other than what was listed on the menu– crack I’m sure– because that sandwich was the thing that dreams were made of. It was toasted on the outside but so warm and moist on the inside. If I could rename that sandwich Jezebel, I would because things that taste and look that good are usually responsible for breaking up happy homes. The pizza was delicious too! It had just the right amount of veggies and cheese and the crust was lovely and buttery.
Again, the waitress was nice and offered us a drink to go, which eateries rarely do anymore. I don’t remember her name but she had a bottom lip piercing, so if you see her, ask for her– she will treat you right and the food will treat your tummy right.

Awesome food up this awesome atmosphere and amazing selection of beers and a family oriented place that gives new twist on being a hippie and hippie food. They’ve got great new burgers where the beef is specifically from a farm in California. Love this place

I think there’s better pizza around (Cappy’s), and there are better places to drink beer (Stein & Vine), but there aren’t too many places around better to have pizza AND beer.
I also give them huge extra credit for offering a separate gluten free pizza menu. If you’re forced not to eat gluten, pizza is a huge loss. Luckily these guys make GF pizza, and they do it well!

Love that they have Angry Orchard on tap and $ 2 off during happy hour! Tonight we got our usual, which is a Greek salad, split, and a large pepperoni pizza. No complaints! Consistently good food, consistently decent service. We’ll be back!

This location is in a strip mall across from the Brandon Mall. The parking lot is large enough to handle the volume from surrounding stores. If you plan to head to this location on the weekend, be prepared to wait or make a reservation! It is family friendly and quite loud.
The food is very good, although on the expensive side. Small pizzas run $ 10-​$ 15. Large pizzas are $ 20-​$ 25. They are gourmet and the ingredients are very fresh. Appetizers are usually small and shareable among small groups.
The beer selection is great for a chain restaurant. At the Brandon location there is a rotational Funky Buddha, Founders, New Belgium, Cigar City and many many more. That’s just drafts. The bottle menu is also large. Most drafts run $ 5-​$ 6.
My server tonight was very attentive and knowledgable. She readily accepted a groupon that we had. Food arrived in a timely manner when considering the crowd. I was pleased with the experience and would likely return.

Everything is delicious, point blank period. The subs are filling, the calzones are massive and they even have vegan pizza’s. Besides the food, I absolutely love the environment; it’s a hippies dream room. The staff here is always friendly, no matter how busy the restaurant may be. You really can’t go wrong dining here.

If you love pizza for the crust, mellow mushroom is the place to go. The pizza is made with spring water which makes it soft and not that overly chewy crust you can get with tap water. That being said, they also have great unique flavors like jerk chicken pizza and meat pizza with whole pieces of bacon instead of crumbled bacon.
Mellow mushroom also has several local craft brews on tap!
The downsides to Mellow mushroom, everything takes a very long time to make so the wait time to get a table is usually outrageous and the wait time for dinner once you get a table, is just as long. This particular Mellow Mushroom doesn’t have nearly enough parking so its a wait for a parking spot, before your wait for a table. Then you will pay much higher then average prices for your pizza!

The pizza turned out good. Better than I expected. The service was okay. The Thai chili chicken wings were pretty good. It was nice and neat inside.
I’ll go back, next time I’m in the mood for pizza.

Great calzone! We came here for a late dinner. We started off with chicken wings with Sweet Thai chili sauce. The wings were on the small side, but were cooked good, and the sauce was delicious.
We built our calzone with some ingredients from all the different sections. It turned out to be way more expensive than I anticipated, but everything was delicious.
The service was very good, and the dining area was nice and clean. Some nice music set the mood, which was a nice touch. Great lighting, and wonderful ambience. Overall, we had a very nice dinner. I will definitely be back!

Pizza is My Addiction.
This pizza is made with TLC by some free loving people who serve up an amazing pie while listening to the likes of Led Zeppelin in the ultra groovy place. Slide in a booth and be prepared for delicious pizza, baked just right and with parmesan sprinkles on the amazing crust (get a side of sauce for dipping. I like sauce.). ME-​OW.
Service is always lovely and I have to note that they have COKE ZERO as a fountain drink choice. I like it. A lot.
