Had lunch today. The blackened shrimp ½ platter was a perfect size for lunch that will fill you up but won’t slow you down. The atmosphere is awesome and the staff is extremely friendly. Perfect spot for Friday night dinner before bowling at Fannin lanes. Will be back SOON!

Love this place with a passion. usually I come and sit at the bar and talk to the regulars and the staff as well as the owner and drink a beer here and there. I haven’t had everything off the menu but there seafood is out of this world! Please stop by and see what the café is all about!

Great place for lunch, may be the best poboys outside of New Orleans. The restaurant is attractive and the waitstaff is excellent. You can’t go wrong with the poboys but the gumbo and red beans were full of flavor and tasted better than homemade. It’s our new favorite lunch place.

Seafood dishes are OK for this area which needed a Cajun restaurant. Good fried oyster and shrimp.
Skip the gumbo; definitely not seafood. Mostly roast beef and rice. Disappointing.

Always Great Food and Service! Great Oyster Po-​Boy and The Best Raw Oysters around… These folks know Cajun Food, love to support family owned restaurants like this one! We keep coming back. Love the Specials and Fish of the Day.

Terribly disappointed! Could not eat my Shrimp Alfredo because there was so much Parmesan Cheese. Told the waiter and he apoligized but offered no solutions. While waiting at our table, which was beside the kitchen a bowl was dropped or knocked into the floor and the young man who was in the kitchen picked up the bowl and put it on the shelf with the clean ones. Had I been with the Health Dept I would have shut them down. This is unacceptable behavior. Think twice before eating here… While walking out we passed another table and there sat another uneaten Shrimp Alfredo… See the problem?

I can’t tell you what a great find this place was. The food and service was incredible. My wife and I just barely beat the crowd on a Friday evening so it was good to see how well the staff was able to rise to the occasion. Our server was wonderfully personable, prompt with our drink orders, appetizers and entrees. The Bayou Tamales are a must-​try. We ordered the shrimp platter for our entrée and it was great. The shrimp were big, cooked perfect and plenty of them. We were too full to try desert so next time we may start with that. The only thing that that would have made it perfect would have been a mixed drink. But, they do have a nice beer selection. I can see us being regulars here.

Husband says Fried Oysters are delicious. Blackened Shrimp are good, but they and the fries weren’t hot when served. Really tasty tartar sauce. Very nice server. Stayed on top of refills. Gotta love that.

Decided to try this out as it is fairly new. I love cajun food and was not disappointed! I had the seafood muffaletta and it was fantastic. The service was great and this place is a must if you like good old cajun cooking. You will love it!

We use the pickup window. The food is excellent. Really enjoyed the blackened catfish. It’s rather tasty, but reckoned the veggies over the French fries.

The wait staff is very friendly and what I have I have enjoyed their new and still working something out but I definitely will be back. I am looking forward to seeing what they do going forward.

I ordered the red beans and rice… and tried the gumbo. both were very good… gumbo isn’t s seafood gumbo but very good flavor none the less

While the gumbo was full of meat, which is uncommon in restaurants, it lacked flavor. The roux could have been darker, and it needed half a bottle if hot sauce to get the flavor profile right. The po-​boys are good, but a 30 minute wait on a roast beef po-​boy was disappointing, especially since the roast beef was pre-​made. I would love to see this restaurant be successful, but the two times I’ve eaten there, both waitresses were eating food while serving me. That is disgusting and unsanitary! Also, the last time I left, the waitress that was rolling silverware at the table by the front door was eating while rolling the silverware! That means that every person coming in after will have her germs or greasy hands on their silverware without even knowing.

My husband and two girls went here after church on Sunday. One of my girls had the crawfish tails. Very good. My husband had the shrimp po-​boy with sweet potato fries. Just your basic frozen sweet potato fries. Nothing to write home about, but the shrimp was outstanding! It was cooked excellently and wasn’t over loaded with breading. My other child has the hamburger steak. Good is all I can say.
I had the fried bayou tamales. They were really really good! There were three of them, and they were served with a sort of pico de gallo on the plate. Not nearly enough of this stuff if you ask me. I would have also liked to have some sour cream and crackers! Being fried, they were a bit dry and the sour cream would have been just what they needed to carry them over the top! The service was a bit slow, but they just opened and I am sure they are still trying to figure things out. I expect this will get better with time. We will definitely be back to try them again!
