Just ran a pleasant 2.4 miles on this easy, pretty little trail. There is a lot of traffic whooshing by, but they did a nice job of separating the trail and road with hedges, ponds, trees etc. I had to go through the TD bank parking lot to get to it, but I’m from out of town so I’m sure there’s a better way. ;)

Nice, easy, 3 mile or so trail. A few ponds dot the trail as you wind along the Brandon Parkway. There is one street crossing. Plenty of parking. It’s not easy writing a good review of a trail. Or this one at least…

Clear path for walking and biking. Some natural scenes along the way, and I even came across some ducks, and kids skipping rocks on the water.. . And a mother desperately trying to grasp every breath of air from her peaceful break. And what makes this place priceless to me? Never in life has this happened.. . I, walking westward, intersect a young man walking eastward. He slows down, and I know a conversation will be attempted. Here we go.. . «I hate to do this to you, but 813xxx xxx» Yes, he proceeds to call out every number to his cell, despite the fact I have not slowed down or made eye contact with him in the least. That was a first. You know what? I’ll take it. I’m not getting any younger, and maybe someday when I’m actually old, and forgot about this astonishing event, I can sort through these Unilocal reviews and remember.. . And smile.

I wish the paved trail was longer but it’s still really nice. The path is wide enough that you don’t have to worry about multiple people passing by at the same time. The trail is exactly 3.25 miles so it’s even good for a short workout. Feel free to bring a stroller, skateboard, bike, scooter, etc. Even dogs are welcome and they have poop bags along the trail.

The reason I love running on Brandon Parkway trail is because it is exactly 3.25 miles so if I want to do a short run I can go out back or if I want a longer run I can run out back two or three times. I also love the fact that it’s near small and the view is picturesque with ducks, birds, cranes and beautiful flowers. It is nice to see the beauty of nature as you run. It Is an asphalt trail and I prefer to run on asphalt trail much more than sidewalk running is much more kind to my hips and knees. There are also a lot of people are running and it nice to see other people out running, jogging, walking biking or skating. It is also very well lit so you can also run in the evening. I have met up with my running group many evenings after work. It is just well beautiful area and really only area in Brandon area that we have to run. The only drawback is that it is not a longer trail, no water fountains and you do have to stop for traffic in two spots.
