I’ve been going here for years and even used to work here in high school. The back was always clean and the food is high quality. The current staff is very friendly and the owner can talk to you about the Yankees or the Jets in full detail!

The pizza was really good, but the service was confusing. We sat down to dine in, but we had no waiter. I had to get our table’s water and I had to get up constantly to order or get napkins and such. We had ceramic plates at our table but when the pizza came, they gave us paper plates.

Best seafood risotto, squid was cooked perfectly, not tough or chewy. Food seemed nice and fresh. Will be back

We ordered this for a company lunch. I have been here before. It has always been a pleasure. Pizza and a fresh salad were ordered. I had a slice of meat lovers and cheese. The meat lovers consisted of bacon, peperoni, ham, sausage, and meatballs. This was very good. The crust was just right. However, I did think there was enough tomato sauce on it. This was the case with the cheese pizza too. I thought there could have been more cheese on the cheese slice too. It was very tasty regardless. The salad was very fresh. It consisted of romaine lettuce, kalamata olives, tomatoes, and cucumbers. It came with a sweet vinaigrette dressing. It was very good quality. Will I go back? Yes I will.

I have gotta tell you I’m in the business and have been around pizzerias my whole life. well I stopped in trattoria uno today and grabbed a slice of sausage and a slice of meatball and a gold peak ice tea. very good slices fresh with plenty of topping but when I was rung up the guy said 9 $. I was taken a back«9 $ for 2 one topping slices and a 16 oz bottle of tea ?? yea it’s 350 a slice and 2 bucks for the tea.. wow! I’m so far from cheap believe me and my brother owns a pizzeria a few towns away in a very high end area and his specialty slices are only 325 $ and he uses the best of everything. totally outrageous just on principal alone. I can understand the cheese market fluctuates a bit but that it blatantly gauging me. and then they kind of were smirking and talking in Spanish and laughing when I said something. and all I said was«wow that seems high«I was cordial and ate my slices and left. for the last time. sorry guys I’ve eaten there many times because I live in branchburg but vinnie is getting my business from now on. nice guy, solid food, and always in his place …

Trattoria Uno is good solid Italian place to eat, out of the 1,000s we have to choose from in Central NJ. It has good food, good value and good service. In my family, when it is my turn to pick a place to eat out at, I like to go here. I usually have one of their pasta and seafood dishes. I have also arranged dinners here for larger groups of work and personal friends and everybody is always happy with their food. One of my friends commented: you cannot go wrong here with any of their entries priced at under $ 20. Additionally, as a plus for me and my friends, it is BYOB, so it ends up being at great dinner at very economical price. They also catered for us last year and everybody raved about the dishes we ordered from them.

Their bread that comes with their entrees is really tasty. Their food is also quite good. So far I’ve gotten to taste their pasta arrabiata, eggplant rollatini, and baked ziti. Their eggplant dish is probably my favorite. It’s delicious and not too heavy.

I have eaten here twice with customers. I had the pizza one time and the meatball sub the 2nd. The food is really good and the service was very friendly. Definitely recommend.

A hidden gem. The food is delicious and the service is great. The fried calamari was light and crisp. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked to order. The waitstaff was polite, attentive, and good looking. The cozy dining room has a simple elegance. Byob adds to the affordability.

I wanted to give this spot a chance. Not knowing what else to order around here, I decided why not. I suppose this should be a review only for delivery, but realizing that if they put such little thought and care into my order, why would they do the same for you in person? All I ordered was a meatball parmigiana sub. They had one order. One JOB. They told me it would take one hour to make the sandwich. One hour was ridiculous, but I figured that this would be the most amazing sub I have ever had. 1 hr and 15 min had passed and I got a knock on the door and finally received the sub. It was in a brown bag, with aluminum wrapped around it. That’s normal. I unwrapped the aluminum and the plate was INSIDE the aluminum foil with the sandwich! Yeah sure, just put the napkins in there with the sandwich while you’re at it! Actually, there weren’t even napkins with the sandwich at all. The bread was mixed with the sauce and was stuck to the plate. Both ends of the sub were stale. And the meatballs were«okay» at best. I’ll be sure to never order from this place again. Maybe if some thought was put into this delivery, this review would have been drastically different. Oh, and I gave this a two star rather than a one because it filled me up. At least they did one thing right.

Would like to give them a 3.5 because they are one of many pizza places within a one mile radius that offer pretty much the same fare. What separates one from the other comes down to simple things like the sauce or the crust. Trottoria Uno has both. We do like fresh ingredients but for some reason they use canned mushrooms, yuck! Subs are good as are the dinners. Only flaw is with take out. Many times we are shorted either salad dressing or the bread or if something is requested on the side it might not be there. Otherwise average

There are 2 thing to look for in a good pizza place. 1. Pellegrino. 2. An Espresso machine. Once you’ve located the two by then the Italian owner probably already greeted you.

Great food, the owner always goes out of his way to make your meal perfect. These days it’s so hard to find great Italian food. It’s not a price high class place but it’s a fabulous restaurant. Definitely check it out.

Nice family-friendly place with good food and service. Full sit-in or carryout available. Very nice and friendly wait and serving staff. Food portions are good — you are likely to leave with the next-days lunch. Fresh mozzzzzarella with tomatoes and pear insalate with gorgonzola cheese for apps served four of us well. Could spot only one veggie pasta but they gladly accommodated our Penne alla Vodka minus the prosciutto request. Penne was good. Their Rigatoni Arrabiata who was quite good though the zucchini pieces were a bit hard(no I don’t mean al dente). Personal veggie pizza had good veggies but the cheese was rather unremarkable. And yes, forgot to tell them to charr the crust well — so had a bit of mushy crust to deal with. Place is in a small plaza that has plenty of parking. Made for a nice relaxing family outing where we all(we think) enjoyed a reasonably healthy meal.

Absolutely my favorite pizza place in the area. The restaurant is also comfortable, and I’ve never had a bad meal there. Try the chicken parm, it’s excellent. My only complaint ever is that the delivery is hit it miss: either much faster than they say, or very late. My suggestion is, if you need the food at a certain time, or have a hungry crew at home waiting, plan to pick up.

I’ve been coming here for years. A great little Italian restaurant with good quality food and fast service. We usually have the same waiters who are pleasant, move quickly and suggest the specials that are offered. Tuesdays are all night lunch prices, which is pretty much half off your usual dinner entrée. I think this is a great way to get customers in here. I like the layout of the place, pizzeria in the front and wine and dine in the back. There are tables for two or larger circular tables for big groups. It’s BYOB which is also nice. The complimentary bread that is served is always fresh and classic Italian dishes, chicken, veal, shrimp are delicious. Never had a bad experience here. Order the cannoli! Yum!

I haven’t been prompted to write a review in a while… but I would have done this place a disservice if I didn’t. I’m not familiar with the Branchburgh/Bridgewater area at all. Out-of-town relatives were staying here and I started hunting for a place close to the Holiday Inn Express on 202 — something casual, possibly Italian. I narrowed it down to the following: — Trattoria Uno — Café Picasso — California Pizza Kitchen Ruled out Picasso cause it was a little too pricy and CPK cause it was in the mall and service was reviewed as hit or miss. So I came here, blindly, not expecting anything more than an average experience. Suffice it to say, I was blown away. There’s a super casual sit-in area towards the front if you just want to grab a slice or a sandwich. This area bleeds into a pretty impressive dining area in the back for a casual eatery. It’s not over-the-top but cozy and warm. I saw a few couples and a few larger groups — about 10 tables. Food came out pretty quick and the waitress was pleasant and informative(she made sure to tell us things like the tiramisu was actually ice cream and not the traditional — very helpful if you have your mind set on something and you get something else). We ordered: mozzarella in corozza(app) — never had it but was very tasty and interesting texture(she even told us how they make it — very cool). margarita pizza — one of the best I’ve had eggplant parm — not usually a fan but I ended up eating half of my dad’s; probably the best I ever had baked ziti — really good; really cheesy but just right tortellini alfredo — again, not the dish I ordered but ate half of my mom’s, heh; some of the best I ever had penne primavera — very good cannoli(dessert) — not usually a fan but they made it the right way and it was ridiculously awesome — not overly sweet with the right ratio of ricotta; as stuffed as I was, I still had a few bites Major plus-sides were the quality, options, and quantity. The quality of food and service was spot on. The options catered to 4 out of 5 vegetarians at the table. This is usually the tough part cause it’s not so much that a restaurant will remove meat from dishes when making them, but that it actually tastes good without the meat. Being a meat-eater myself, I found all the veg dishes to be amazing — that was my official stamp of approval. It’s pretty much a guarantee that the meat dishes will be just as good, if not better. Oh, and the quantities are huge. You’ll have a meal the next day at home as well. I don’t know what you guys are doing there, but keep on keepin’ on! I will def come back, possibly to get some take-out all the way back to Carteret, heh ;)

Great Italian food, every time! I have been going here for a long time for both carry out, and dine in and the service and food are top notch every time. Everything from the seafood to the pizza is just cooked to perfection. The dine in area is very nice from just simple lunch, to Christmas Eve dinner, or private events. Reservations are available, so if you have a large group make them in advance! Also, no alcohol is served, but it is BYOB so keep that in mind!
