I see Lisa Moore and she is great. I had a cut and brow wax yesterday and it was just what I needed, in a short timespan.

Service: Wash, cut and dry Price: $ 41 + tip Stylist: Jill(Jillian) Location: Inside the South Shore Plaza What I loved: — Jill was very sweet and I was thankful she accepted to see me at the last min. I called and she had time available an hour later, so I ran errands in the meantime. — Jill is quiet. Thank you! I didn’t feel like chatting. I just wanted a hair cut. — She listened to what I wanted(it helps to bring a picture of what you have in mind) and double checked she understood the look I was going for. Areas of improvement: — I feel like the blow dry could use some improvement. It took longer than I wouldn’t have liked. I appreciate you being thorough, but I know my blow dry could have taken less time, less dropped brushes and shutting off the hair drier and changing the setting from hot to cold and back. The result was still great, but the technique needs some work. Overall I’m thankful they took me in last minute and I left with a nice hair cut.

Had gone here for about a year. Was just ok about my haircuts, Always went on Saturdays was never crowded that should of told me something. Had probably gone to this hairdresser for almost a year. Never really got compliments on my hair after i got it done. Well last time I went there about a year ago, when I was done the hairdresser went to get my coat in the backroom. I was standing by the desk and the lady that worked there asked do you have a appointment can I help you. HELLO can’t you tell I just got it done. Have to say that did it for me have not been back there. Found a new great hairdresser and always get complments on my hair after the hair cut

I recently had my hair highlighted and have been getting so many compliments I felt I had to share. I can’t believe I am so lucky to have found the best hair stylist at Regis — Janique. She is amazing and her coloring, cutting and styling is always perfect. She’s super friendly, knowledgeable, and will give you what you want. Besides being an incredible stylist she makes you feel comfortable. She is a super unique, quirky, fun-loving woman, and not only does she make me feel better about my hair, she makes me feel better about my life in general. She really is the embodiment when people say«sometimes your hair stylist is also your therapist.»(I’m actually not sure if people say that, but I’m saying it now, and Janique is the best). I’ve gone to so many different stylists from Newbury Street and surrounding areas and I feel really lucky to have found Janique. My hair looks the best and feels the healthiest it has ever looked!

I was very disappointed. I went in for a cut and color and got in immediately. Had the sweetest girl. My first color turned out very wrong. Another woman named Lisa came to help and was very rude to me, asking me what kind of box dyes I use,(which I don’t) and then was rude when I didn’t know the formula of professional color that was used the last 2 times(is that something I should know? Was not wanting the same color!) The girl did fix my hair. I was there 5 hours. It was expensive after everything. I probably won’t be going back.

Stopped in near closing time desperate for a wash and cut — I consider myself very lucky to have been referred to Melissa — she gave me the most beautiful hair cut and blow dry. I have very long hair that is a painful lot of work to blow dry — she took her time though I could tell she was probably exhausted at the end of a long day, just before Easter when she still had to do Easter bunny shopping for her kids. I highly recommend for professionalism and a superb cut and style.

I had two very good haircuts and two bad haircuts. Unfortunately the two good ones were by two hairdressers who don’t work here anymore. One was Marc and the other one was Heather. I wish I could know where they are working now, if. Because they were absolutely amazing. 5 stars to both of them. Now that they are gone I only go in there to buy hair products. Regis has a great selection and it is not over priced.

I come here for Janique she is amazing, for 2 yrs she has out done herself. I really think all the girls are great, over 2 yrs they all have gotten to know me :) However, it saddens me that I have been here 2 yrs and the manager Lisa has never ever acknowledged me once. She walks by every time looks at me and looks away. She looks miserable to be there, and it is overall not a good feeling. However, I love my stylist so she keeps getting my business.

I needed a haircut so I went by the mall on a Saturday morning. They didn’t have any appointments until 1, with a woman named Lindsey. I was quoted at 50 dollars for the color, and 35 for the cut– but! They were running a special, where I could get ten dollars off my haircut since I was getting a color. $ 75 dollars for a cut and color. Not too bad, considering it was a last minute purchase. Kinda bad because it’s at a shopping mall. Fast forward to 1PM. I get to the salon about ten minutes before, thinking I should have been there a bit earlier. It didn’t matter because Lindsey was a half an hour late. She was also double booked. Meaning, she brought me to her chair, and left me there– without explanation. I then sat in the chair for about 20 minutes before she brought the color book over to me. I said I wanted an auburn, a la Alyson Hannigan. She agreed, and we even looked at pictures. I thought it was going to be great. She put the color on, and then I didn’t see her again for forty minutes. Meanwhile, someone at the chair next to mine, an employee, decided that she was going to do her make up and her hair, on the sales floor. Completely unprofessional. Not only was this woman doing this, but on the other side of me were two clients who were critiquing every other client in the store. Let’s bring this back to me. Late Linsdsey decides to wash out my hair. The color, she says, is very dark but will fade. First off, it is NOT what I wanted. Secondly, what does that say about your product if it’s going to fade so quickly? She then proceeded to cut my hair, in about a four minute span. She cut off about a forth of an inch and called it a day. When I went to pay, the bill was $ 107. Absolutely ridiculous. When I asked for an explanation she said it was because my hair was so long that they had to use twice as much color.

I stopped by this salon on a whim. Stephanie did an amazing job of taking my messy hair and making it match the picture on my phone. I would visit again.

I came here for my first ever hair color last March, and Iam still suffering from it!!! The stylist was sullen and lazy and barely listened to what I asked her for, and didnt listen when I explained I knew very little about color(highlights/low lights, was all foreign to me) I asked her to brighten up my browy/auburn hair a little, and to not loose the red tones! I ended up with black hair! And being Irish, with pale skin and freckles, this wasnt a good look for me! When I came back and asked for something to be done, I was treated terribly, with the same stylist glaring at me as the manager tried to undo the damage! She had to bleach my hair, and try to put some red highlights in to lighten the black… but it was still terrible! Then she says she’d have to charge me if I wanted her to dry it after she was done!!! Stay away from this place!!!

Melissa is ten stars really, and she knows it! She would know what haircut and color I wanted before I did. Always new how to take my «O, I don’t know… I kinda want this, but not that» and turn it into perfect! while asking just the right questions along the way to make sure I loved it. Whether color or cut I was always so excited to go in and came out smiling! Troy was also essential to my experience giving advice to this color or that. His clients, like my girlfriend, also always have happy results. I moved cross country and hardly cared about leaving family and friends but grieved my loss of Melissa. She’s not cheap, but if you love your hair, it is more than worth it.

This isn’t so much a review of the salon, as it is for(mainly) one of the stylists there. I have been going to Regis for the last three years or so, and the one stylist that I have stuck with for most of that time is Troy Frank. He is amazing! He works with his clients to understand completely what his client is looking for in a hair cut or with color. I love going to him, and I never leave there unhappy with the job that he’s done. My friend recently had her hair done by him for her wedding, and she was really happy with the way her updo came out. Other stylists there that are almost equally as awesome: Courteney and Melissa. I definitely recommend the three of them!
