Awesome place, service, atmosphere, food and drink are wonderful. Right off of the highways of 128 and the Southeast Expressway in Braintree. Make a reservation and if you’re Catholic like me, book dinner on the Fridays of Lent. You won’t be disappointed. Great wine list and very reasonable prices for the best quality seafood. Roger Berkowitz has been hosting this restaurant portfolio all over the area for a long time and he demands quality which his customers enjoy.

Restaurant is beautiful. However went today and ordered a lobster roll that came out and had a black hair on it. I told the waiter who dropped it off, and the manager brought out a new one freshly made. I didn’t make a fuss because I work in the restaurant industry and understand these things happen. When the bill came the lobster roll was not taken off the bill. Not only that, they didn’t take anything off the bill including our Diet Cokes or my moms $ 6 cup of clam chowder. I didn’t argue because I wasn’t in the mood to. However, the fact that they don’t discount any food or offer anything like a gift card tells me all I need to know about their corporate policy, and that it is money over service. I could have whined to the manager, but if that’s what it takes to save $ 20, it’s really not worth it. There’s 10 other restaurants in that area I will go to next time I have lunch with my mom.

Went in for the clam chowder, and wasn’t disappointed! I’ll be back for another bowl.

Love the newly renovated location. Definitely a major improvement since the last time I went when it was still in the mall. The legals experience is pretty consistent throughout the different locations. The service was pretty average and the food was decent. We ordered some oysters and cherrystones from the raw bar and they were excellent. For entrees, we had the tuna steak, shrimp and garlic, and the shrimp fra diavolo. My only suggestion would be to serve the tuna rare as opposed to medium rare.

This is pretty much the typical Legal’s restaurant. Nicely decorated. Ample parking. Decent service. We had a little bit of a wait for 2 people and food was served promptly. I’m not a big fan of their food except for the clam chowder. That’s the only reason we keep coming back. Otherwise their food is meh.

Decided to raise their review one level because: Presentation of the food and service was ok. The tasting, for me, was too salty and not pleasurable enough that I will necessarily return. I think it’s better than others but everything seemed to have too much salt. I hope they can get flavors through other means. Also, a bit on the expensive side.

I went here Friday night with one of my friends before catching a movie. We had an appetizer we shared each other’s drinks. Because we were catching a movie we were rushing to get out of there my friend finished their meal, I barely touched my plate. We ended up spending $ 130 – 160 with a tip. The next day Saturday morning I ate the leftovers my fisherman’s platter. By Saturday night around 6 p.m. I started getting sick. I have been getting excruciating and horrible abdominal pain to the point I’m screaming. For the first two days(sun-mon) every 30 minutes I had the runs, Now it’s every 2⁄4 hours. I haven’t been able to eat in 5 days and every time it seems like it’s going away it comes back 10 times worse. Please don’t eat here!!! I wish I never did 5days non-stop being sick with headaches, the runs, pain etc it’s not worth it!!!

Ambiance is noisy and uncomfortable. Food is fan-freakin– tastic. It has been many years since I’ve had the chance to dine at a legal seafoods as there are none in south eastern Virginia. My mother recently treated me to one of their fried fisherman’s platters on a trip up to Boston for a stressful event(sick relative). I’m telling you, a good meal can do wonders for the soul. Some of the best tasting and freshest seafood in the country comes from Legal Sea Foods. Top notch sea food all the way.

New Years day lunch and it couldn’t have been better. Tuna Sashimi appetizer was 1st rate as was the Scallops with Bacon and Mustard Seeds. Wood Grilled Trout was as tasty as always. Our Waiter was Brian and his attention and service made a good meal a great meal. Happy New Year 2016!

I wouldn’t come back for their food or for their service. Walking in, I thought I would have a good experience. This was my first time at this location and I liked the seating plan and the ambiance. We got seated at a two person booth which I liked because it gave me and my boyfriend some privacy than if we sat at a table. While looking at the menu, our waitress set down two rolls with butter and walked away. She didn’t say a word nor did she give us any eye contact. She came back later and said ‘Oh, oops well these weren’t for you. I didn’t even know it was you guys sitting here. But you can have them anyways’. Um… did she completely miss us sitting there!!! ‘But you can have them anyways’ made it sound like we were there for the free dinner rolls. You can keep those free rolls, lady. How friggen rude!!! We then ordered: Crispy Montauk calamari(rhode island style — hot pepper with garlic) — save your money and order something else. There was nothing hot or garlicy about this appetizer! I was hesitant to order it at first since I don’t like spicy but my boyfriend likes it so I thought I’d give it a try. It literally just tasted like fried batter and nothing else. I had to eat it with the banana peppers that were scattered in the dish so it can give it some flavor. Seafood Casserole with fries — Fries sucked! It tasted like it was undercooked and it wasn’t even hot. You have the option to choose a different side so I recommend doing that. The seafood casserole had shrimp, lobster, scallop and whitefish with cheese on it. All in all, the dish was okay but for $ 28 I expected more. Lobster Ravioli Alfredo — This entrée came with a good amount of vodka sauce and the basil and nut pesto which I enjoyed. It also came with a good sized side salad. I do recommend this dish if you’re sharing it with someone just because it gets pretty heavy with the sauce and the ravioli. Again, I don’t think I will be coming back here. There’s so many other restaurants around that area you and I can choose from. My sister experienced the same thing with their bad service during Veteran’s day so it’s not just me. Too bad because it was pretty comfortable in there for a date.

Great lobster and calamari(I’d recommend the Rhode Island one), great atmosphere and very busy considering it was a Thursday night. I would come back!

I frequent this Legal seafood as it’s convenient for myself and coworkers. Tonight we had the most INCREDIBLE waitress named Andrea. She was beyond attentive, friendly, and extremely funny. I will admit I don’t often interact with a waiter or waitress aside from ordering. I could have spoken to ANDREA all night. She was hardworking and have I mentioned HYSTERICAL. we joked and offered her to join us as we figured it was a long day for her. If you go to Legals in Braintree do request Andrea! You will not regret that!

We decided to stop in for dinner after a movie and I’ve been here multiple times but felt that this time the food was not quite as consistent as it has been in the past. Our server was nice and attentive though and we were in and out within the hour which was a great plus when dining with 3 kids. FOOD: Crab cake combo — Just as I’ve remembered it although it didn’t seem as nice of an assortment to me like it has in previous times. Maybe it’s time to move on to their other selections? Kids’ chicken fingers and fries — Fries were stale and the chicken tenders were dry. Kid’s 1 pound lobster — Under a pound dare I say and not much of a lobster. Tail was tiny and lobster claws barely there. We’d just recently dined at the Legal’s by Terminal C and had a completely opposite experience in food quality so maybe I’m a bit harsh?

This happens to be my favorite place to go when I visit Boston. Being a native Bostonian, I enjoy all of the dishes at legal seafood. Having a cup of New England clam chowder is a must. Spicy fish and chips or the lobster are at the top of my list of favorites. On this particular visit we enjoyed the cod loin with ponzu ginger sauce with rice and baby bok choy. We also had the steamed lobster. Delicious. Service is great and the quality is fantastic.

Friend had a gift card to spend, who am I to say«No?» I had the friend seafood platter and it was consistent with the dish at Legal’s in Hingham. Friend had the salmon and mushroom ravioli. Not his cup of tea, but he isn’t a regular Legal’s customer. Manager was attentive. Only complaint — we were seated at the end of a row of tables and servers were whizzing past us during the course of our dinner. I understand the need to maximize floor space, but maybe they could do without one less table or make it a two person table, not four?

Pretty surprised at the amount of people in Braintree. this location of Legal Sea Foods would not be my first choice, if I had been given a choice. But as it ends up my parents were staying in this Hyatt so I drove out 30 min to get average food. Big table of like 20 people so we were seated in the back. The service was quick but I always find it so weird when they only give certain people water if they ask for it… it should just be a baseline to give everyone water if there’s so many people instead of asking who wants it and then forgetting and then asking again. Maybe I’m just being nit picky. We had oysters for an appetizer and they were really fresh! Nice chunk of oyster and very tasty. For my entrée I had the crab cakes that came with a slaw and ate some food off my parents’ plates. Mom had wild salmon w/seaweed salad and slaw and dad had filet mignon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Crab cakes were pretty good, but not $ 30 good. They had nice big lumps of crab but were a little lacking on the seasoning. The slaw was decent. Salmon and filet mignon were good but once again also not worth the price tag. Sides were a disappointment for their entrees. It’s hard to justify over $ 100 of food when it’s subpar and I can make it for $ 40 – 50. I guess for the area this is a better choice than TGI Friday’s. I think they’re more worth it in Boston too, if you get to be on the water at some locations. Otherwise, I’ll stick to my more hole in the wall/fish-market type restaurants for seafood.

Legal Sea Foods is top notch. Excellent service and great food. It’s a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. I brought my new boss here for our first business dinner out, and my boss was very pleased in spite of the fact a server accidentally spilled a beer on him.

I am thoroughly impressed by this Legal Seafoods location. I used to dine at this Legal Seafoods that was located in the South Shore Plaza before they moved to Forbes Road. Everything has changed for the better! Service: I must say I had no qualms with the service and felt like our server, Rebecca, treated us well. As a family, we take forever to order and she was extremely patient. Also, she made great suggestions and I thought she was really sweet. The manager came over to our table and asked how everything was which was very professional and kind of him to do so. My father and him got to chatting it up which was nice. Food: I can’t begin to explain how their menu transformed from so long to short and sweet. Honestly, I flipped open the menu and all I got were two pages side by side. I really like that because they took away the entrees that didn’t make the cut or because guests didn’t enjoy it as well. As a pesco-vegetarian, I went bananas of course. For the table, we ordered a round of fried clams, calamari and fried pickles! I dove in for the Rhode Island style calamari because jalapenos and banana peppers accompany the appetizer. The peppers add to the flavor of the calamari and it’s so tasty. Who doesn’t like fried pickles with horseradish sauce on the side? Am I right? Folks, that appetizer settled my tummy and got it ready for the entrée round! My entrée was the Legal’s Signature Crab Cakes along with scallops(two jumbo lump crab cakes, mustard sauce, seasonal salad). The salad was a frisee with peas and it was really delicious. I enjoyed my dish very much, but couldn’t finish it so I left it for my sister since I had to travel back to Maine. Ambience: We sat right by the OPEN kitchen. I love the concept because you see the methodical order of it and how the food stays warm when the servers get the orders. The lighting was dim for the evening hour which was nice because I could still see my food. I’ll be back for Mother’s Day because mom loves this location now :) Thanks for a great experience!

They always come through in the clutch. Regular menu runs to 10 pm, but they have a more than sufficient«Late Night Menu» to Midnight. Late Night Menu consists of four types of artisan pizzas(think pear and clam topping choices) — all for less than $ 10 each, crunchy fried pickles for $ 3 a bowl, warm and cheesy spinach and artichoke dip for $ 8, and a few other nibbly things. Pro Tip: If you ask nicely, and if they haven’t cleaned the grill yet, they can accommodate salad requests, even though they aren’t featured on the late night menu. Ditto for Legal’s famous Clam Chowdah. Most importantly, you still get a warm and perfectly crunchy signature roll– even with your late night requests. Nice staff, very large space — huge wrap around bar that is always playing some sort of high wattage game. Usually really quiet at night, which I appreciate. P. S. They do phone orders– it’s your best option if you are really craving something on the regular menu and you know you can’t get there til 10pm.
