Went with my wife last night not very draught beer which is fine, but bottled selection was poor. ordered bourbon turkey tips which were good but not many. Wifeys Scallops looked much better. My biggest complaint is our meal Was accompanied by a man and woman talking/screaming at each other from 2 feet away! The classic ugly American. At the very least the bartender should have reminded them that other folks were trying to enjoy there night out. We won’t be back.

Food was ok. Very small and loud. Biggest disappointment was dessert. They were frozen and stale. It ruined the night. The tiramisu was some type of whip cream pie. It was awful.

Dined here on Monday, December 21st with five boyhood friends. I’ve eaten here before but the others had not. They found the food absolutely delicious and the service terrific. The hostess was very nice and Donna our waitress was so wonderful. We all shared an Antipasto along with a Caprese Salad. We each ordered a different Italian main course, The servings with plentiful. Glad we dined here and we will all return again. The cost was reasonable.

Unreal to me that Campanale’s is rated 3 stars? I’m such a fan. Great mum and pop type of feel but somewhat upscale. Our waitress Alleigh(said like Ally) tonight was a doll. Highly recommend sitting in her section!

This place smelled like toilet cleaner, was loud, and the food was like microwaved frozen ingredients. Would not recommend, especially not for a date because you can barely hear the other person. There was live music in the bar area though so maybe it’s a better bar/dive experience.

I usually stop in wit a group for lunch on Fridays. Excellent food, great service and reasonable prices. I usually get the Chicken Piccata or Marsala. Always prepared fresh with a generous portion of pasta. I’ll keep going back.

Food was cooked to perfection! Tasty, and served hot. Pricing was about average in not slightly below. This place should be packed, every night. However, we were seated in seconds, at supper time. Service was fast, and professional! No complaints at all.

Wonderful food and fantastic service! The gluten free selection is the best that I’ve seen at any Italian restaurant. The portions are of a decent size so be prepared to not have room for their tasty desserts… Which they will package for take-away for you.

Orders from the boss… take our colleague/client to dinner. Any excuse to eat somewhere new is OK by me. We were staying in the area and it was actually our colleague that suggested this place. When my husband heard it was an Italian restaurant he got very excited. It took me to get more excited. I am not a big Italian food fan, I know, horrible… especially being a quarter Italian. However, I was pretty pleased with this place! The restaurant itself is pretty small but, that just means the servers can be more accommodating. Our server was a sweet girl named Allie(Ally…so many different versions of the name). She was attentive and prompt with everything. My husband got a build your own pasta dish, I ordered the caprese sandwich and our colleague ordered a seafood pasta dish. All three of us were very satisfied and left full and happy. This is one of the few Italian places I have actually liked. We had been traveling for two weeks and my husband said this was by far his favorite place we ate the entire trip! Kudos!

My boyfriend and I have eaten at Campanale’s a few times. He loves the chicken parm, I usually go for a safer option at new places and get sandwiches… everything on their menu is reasonably priced. There was live music in the bar area which was perfect… really enjoyed Timmy. Enjoyed my snickertini even more. Will be returning to this establishment. It’s lovely on the inside, food is good and music is good. Recommend for a date night, any time.

A decent little Italian restaurant. We ordered the calamari to start off which was pretty good, but not the best calamari. On the menu, you can create your own pasta dish. I chose angel hair with Alfredo sauce and shrimp. The waitress brought out pasta with chicken by mistake, but got me the correct order after several minutes. It wasn’t a big deal, but I’m not a fan of chicken which is why I ordered shrimp. Anyways, the pasta dish was okay… tasted like simple angel hair and Alfredo I could make in 10 minutes at home. We came on a slow Thursday night, but had to wait about 15 minutes for the calamari then at least another 20 minutes for our entrees. It shouldn’t have taken that long especially on a slow night.

Skip it. Food is bland and the clientele should have been a tip off– all blue hairs. Seriously, there was nothing redeeming about this place.

I have tried this restaurant in the past and been … Satisfied. But NOW the newly painted dining room and bar, outstanding dishes, incredible sauces and enormous specials plate that tasted soo soo delicious I will definitely be back !! Had the veal piccata and my mouth was amazed the veal was cooked so tender and the sauce was perfect, my gf had the chicken with spinach prosciutto and mozz cheese, I was jealous and took more than a bite. It was heavenly The staff is attentive and efficient the wine was great and it was packed even at 930 for dinner Wish I had saved room for tiramisu There’s always next week Try this place !!

My boyfriend and I like this place a lot. We discovered it when we purchased a Groupon for it and have been returning ever since. We have been here several times and have never gotten anything that wasn’t amazing! They definitely, in my opinion, have be best fried calamari around! Service is usually fast and friendly. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars no not 5 is the desserts. I wish they were a little more fresh. You can tell they are not made there there and thats how they taste. Not to say that they are awful or anything. Furthermore, the dessert menu is very small and never changes. Other than that minor complaint, everything is always great, right down to the coffee.

I liked this restaurant. After a long morning on the road, I came in for lunch. Liked the laid back atmosphere, did not feel neither rushed or neglected. Was greeted at the door. Had the Eggplant Parmesan and it was good. Huge serving for $ 8.00. Could not eat it all. They had wireless, which was a plus since I’m traveling for business and have to keep up with e-mails. Yeah, the décor is a little outdated(dark burgundy paint), but it was cool on a humid day. Liked the rest of it. The only critical comment I have is the bread should be served warm with room temperature butter. Not that big of a deal. I found the server very attentive, but not hovering(which drives me crazy).

On a Saturday night, a friend and I called up to see if there was a wait,(we had to be someplace by a certain time) and the response was«Oh, no no no no no no no there’s no wait, nope, not here» — which was kind of weird and maybe an indicator of the place as a whole. But, we had a Groupon so we figured we’d go try it out. The place is pretty old fashioned once you walk in. Instead of your typical olive oil dipping sauce, you get a weird hummus-ish mixture. Strange. The sodas are tiny, and are not free refills. I had the veal and eggplant parm. The eggplant was decent, but I’ve had better. The veal was overcooked and the edges were too tough. With the Groupon, the prices seem reasonable, but I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to get here another day, and pay full price. Not worth it.

Portions were huge. The 2 of us splitted a small Caesar salad, calamari, and a combo of chicken/eggplant parm. We couldn’t finish it. Caesar Salad: bigger than expected for a small. It was fresh n tasty. Calamari: Spicy n tangy from the peppers. Not bad, but wish it was less greasy n more crispy. Came with cocktail sauce. I prefer mines with the traditional marinara sauce. Parm combo: the chicken were pounded thin to create that crispness. Eggplant were tasty. All serve over penne. Oh did I mentioned that their thinly sliced Italian bread served with hummus is the star of the place? Also, the $ 3 soda came in a wine glass is refillable. Thanks to our server, she was very courteous and friendly n gave us our refills(my water w/lemon n his soda) without even having to ask for one. Now that is service! Will be back to try other dishes in this neighborhood restaurant.

Pretty good little Italian place, that I wish I had known about when I lived in the area. I absolutely loved my dish and even attempted to recreate it at home. Can’t remember the name of it, but It was penne, chicken, feta cheese, olives, mushrooms, diced tomatoes & garlic… mmm!(My version was not quite as tasty as Campanale’sversion, though!) My boyfriend got Veal Parm & it was a huge portion with delicious sauce and nice & juicy. We both enjoyed a good portion of leftovers the next day. Our server was the bartender and he was really nice. The only reason I don’t give more stars is because I went back recently and the chicken parm I got was paper thin and dry as a bone. My boyfriend’s veal parm was very good however and interestingly enough his portion was much larger than mine. The veal was much better than the chicken.

If you’re looking for decent red-sauce Italian food for an inexpensive family meal, but something that feels a little warmer than a chain, this place will probably suit you fine. Some Italian restaurants in the area are getting kind of expensive and may have variations on familiar dishes that kids or traditional eaters don’t love. If that’s the case in your family, you should come here. The food is not fantastic, however, and it is inconsistent. Sometimes you get the feeling they’re throwing whatever they can find in the kitchen into the sauces. It’s edible and inexpensive. The service is very friendly. The prices are a little less than other Italian restaurants and you’re supporting a local business instead of a chain.

I stopped by at an odd hour for a meal, you can call it lunch or you can call it dinner! I’d say this is a neighborhood joint with no fancy flair. You get the old school feel the moment you step in. The day I came in, they just cleaned the carpet so I was whiffing up some chemicals with my meal so this might a review based on a state of delirium! I started off with Minestrone. Very hearty with OK flavor. Not too bold. Then I created my own pasta dish consisting of cheese tortellini, bolognese sauce with meatballs. The tortellini was pretty big, not bite sized. I also cut up the ginormous meatball into pieces. Portion was good enough for two meals for my tiny tummy. I do wish that they used larger soda/water cups so I don’t feel bad to keep asking for refill every few minutes. The server still kept up with a friendly smile, so that was a plus!
