My daughter took the Hip Hop Dance there and had a great time. She seemed to improve every class and really enjoyed it. The recital was great and she is looking forward to dance again next year already.

This«studio» is a bit shabby. My daughter took the Acro class and was taught nothing nor did she improve on any skills that she already had, due to the fact that Bridget basically taught her nothing and I did not see her or her assistants work directly with her one time to help her improve her gymnastic skills or otherwise. After the first six weeks of classes they started practicing the routine and then 75% of the time most of the girls stood around watching other girls practice their parts of the routine for the recital. My daughter, as well as other girls there I know, got very bored and did not even want to go to class. She had the size of this class way to big! I was told there would not be that many in the class. And let me tell you about the obscenely long FOUR hour recital she scheduled. What other dance studio does that??? That was brutal on many levels for both students and the family members there watching. Several people left after intermision, which at a normal studio would have actually been the time a recital would end. Not to mention the unorganization of it. She also overbooked seating for that auditorium. So Bridget threw some folding chairs in the aisle, in front of a safety bar, so not only were we in awful folding chairs but also could not see without looking under or over the bar. We paid $ 120 for folding chair seats in the isle with an obstructed view. Had to put your head under or stand up to see kids on stage. Overall I have to say I was very dissapointed with Bridget’s on several levels. I would NEVER recommend anyone go to that dance studio. I will be trying Amy’s Dance in Braintree.

The location is run down and dirty, the kind of place that never has soap or toilet paper. Shoddy construction and setup. They have windows that you can watch through but usually there are obstructions. There used to be folding seats to sit on and now there is one long bench that kind of shakes and sways but long enough to fit 8 people. It always looks like the messy living room in there right down to dirty toys. In the winter, temperatures in this«studio»(a garage) never quite reach above 40 degrees and the parking lot freezes over. Watched a child fly head over heels this winter out there but never seemed to get salted as a result. The recital we just went to last night was the final straw in fulfilling our paid obligation to the studio. There was no parking so elderly relatives had to walk much further than should be necessary. The air conditioning didn’t work. It was oppressively hot, which would have been fine if they had not scheduled a FOUR hour recital. From 4 – 8PM. During the 10 minute intermission they ran out of snacks. I’d gone down and overheard the folks running the concession stand telling dancers they couldn’t purchase food until after intermission because they didn’t buy enough food or water(this was the only source of water in the 80 degree auditorium) Sure enough they ran out of food and water before intermission was even over.
