I’m quite happy with the IPLs(intense pulsed light therapy) I got from Dr. Mowett. I started doing them 3 years ago when I realized that and IPL might be a solution to the variety of mottled sunspots on my face and forehead. Thanks, Florida childhood! Getting an IPL at first can be an … alarming … experience. The procedure is actually pretty quick — your eyes are covered and Dr. Mowett shines bursts of a very powerful red light on various parts of your face.(At least, I think it’s red… that’s what it looks like when your eyes are covered.) I always jerk when the light goes off — it’s as if you were hit hard with fiery rubber band. It’s over pretty quickly. I end up looking like I was sunburned for about 1 – 2 hours after the procedure, and then the redness disappears. Patches that were a little dark become much darker, and over the next 1 – 2 weeks dark patches turn into tiny little grains and molt out of my skin. Underneath, it’s fresh skin! It’s imperative to use sunblock after the treatment. It was also good at killing off little broken capillaries and random red dots on my skin. Anyway, I’ve done it about once a year since then.(I have a LOT of sun damage.) It’s nice to look a little younger and much less mottled!

Charged me $ 110(and that was with a $ 25 coupon) for a consultation. My wife and I both went because we both really want to lose weight. The«so called» Dr. Told me that I wasn’t ready for her program. After her 30 min. Session she brought me out to the desk to check out and showed me her prices. $ 199 for 5 visits and consultation fee does not go towards plan price. And thats just for me. If my wife does it too it will be $ 110 consultation plus the $ 199. So $ 620 for both. I wanted to do program but I still have stuck in my head how she says I’m not ready so I’m going elsewhere. Reminds me of the soup nazi from Seinfeld. «No soup for you!»
