Ordered and paid for my phones online. Very easy process. I had the option of having the phones shipped to me or going to this sprint store and picking them up. I opted to pick the phones up. I have to say, the clerks in the sprint store are very nice and kind. Good job hiring them, sprint, very customer service from them. But, I was dismayed that I couldn’t take my unopened phones home and activate them myself. This is unacceptable. I don’t appreciate having to stand there for an hour while the clerk logged in and asked me questions that I had already completed online. I also didn’t appreciate that the clerk had to open and turn on my phone and then activate them. I am quite annoyed that after working 9 hours, I had to stand in a sprint store for another hour so a clerk could activate my phone when I am quite capable of doing this myself in the comfort of my home. Verizon allows me to activate at home. And to boot, the clerk tells me that this is sprint policy that no new phone leaves them unless they are activated. If the process took 5 minutes and I could be on my way, I’d say, thanks, but to have to stand there is unacceptable. Why, sprint, can’t I just come in and pick up my new phones and be on my way.
