Horseshoe Cove Carefree RV Resort

No​.No​.No. worst RV resort I have been too. Power on the site did not was told that they would contact maintenance. Never heard from anyone. Asked if we could move to the site next to us, they said it was booked. Been her to nights and that site has been empty the whole time. Parked us next to the garbage dump. 10 foot pile of metal, 8 foot fence, 3 big hydraulic garbage units running every 15 minutes all day long. House hold furniture piled up. Next thing I need to find is a rat. Asked for a pull through site. Was told it cost more for them. Fine. Had to back in due to being on a corner and now will have to pull out and than back up and pull forward and back up again. No way to turn coming out of the site. Carefree resorts are a joke. waste of 60 bucks. I would rather stay in a walmart parking lot than this place. At least the walmart cleans the parting lot.

Our third winter here. A very nice place but rather expensive.

We are in the drive thru’s with other trailers and motor homes. Most of the park is Park Models and older travel trailers converted and added on to.
There are lots of activities, lots of nice, friendly people and many things to do.

The RV section has a lot to be desired: deferred maintenance all over; in the rest rooms; hooks broken off the wall and not replaced in two years, a hole dug to replace a damaged water connection that has been left open over a month, underground water leaks left to leak and create mud, refuse area fences broken and not repaired. The site utilities are a shambles with broken and dangling cable TV boxes and lots of weeds.
But, overall, a safe, friendly park.
We will probably look elsewhere for next winter.
