Shear Genius Salon And Spa

Very poor management, well meaning staff, some very inexperienced, charge high prices as if they were a good salon, place needs to be more attentive to clients, they don’t know what they’re doing.
Will not go back.

I’m in Florida on holiday and needed a Brazilian wax and full arm wax. I went into shear genius to see if I could get a last minute appointment. The lady who did my wax used strip wax and I had to tell her where to apply the wax on my arms. She had no clue what she was doing. After leaving the salon, my bikini area was exceptionally sore but I thought I would wait and see if the pain would go. Later on that afternoon, I checked why I was still in pain and found skin had been taken off and the area was red and raw. I called the salon and they asked me to come in so they could check what was going on. When I went in, they were extremely rude and argued about whether they would refund me and when checking the area, told me it was an allergic reaction and I was over reacting. I showed them that there was still hair on the upper arm which they carried on arguing about as they said there was no hair. The customer service was non existent. I am highly unimpressed and wouldn’t recommend going to shear genius for any treatments at all!!!

Had a coupon for a free eyebrow wax with a $ 20 service. Damaris gave me a great haircut. Waxed my eyebrows and upper lip. Was very satisfied with everything.

I called the salon, as a new client, to schedule an appointment. I had recieved a coupon and was looking for a new salon and thought I would give them a try. When I called I was directed to a voicemail to leave a message, but never recieved a return call.
This tells me their commitment to customer service and to not waste my time with this business.
