S & R Tire Center & Best-One Fleet Service

Insanely poor service. I’m an OTR truck driver for Prime, and was delivering to Walmart Store 299 in Bowling Green. S&R, representing Best One Tire & Service, was dispatched to replace an outer dual tire and wheel on my front trailer axle that I’d destroyed in a freak accident while pulling around the receiving dock. Upon arriving, the tech, who was very helpful at first, noticed that the axle hub was missing the plastic cover. This had happened before I picked the trailer up that morning, and I somehow missed it in my inspection. The inside dual of the same wheel was also split near the rim. The tech only had the one tire and wheel. However, forty five minutes was wasted while he had me call Prime repeatedly to find out if they wanted him to replace the wheel and tire, or wait until morning and do the whole thing. The decision was reached to have him do the wheel and tire, and to do the hub separately, but by this time he had to leave to take care of a call down the street for a place that closed at 1800h. He left me, tire in the same condition, at 1745h, telling me that he’d run the new wheel and tire back to the shop 2 minutes away and have another tech do the call, while picking up the extra tire. After sitting for 30 minutes, I called the tech three times in fifteen minute intervals, requesting an update. Finally, an hour and a half after he left me, he calls me to tell me the other tech had to take care of a service call 45 minutes away. At this point, Prime had reached out to the Petro truck stop in Franklin, KY to have a tech come out to replace the hub, who would arrive around 2030h. I informed the tech of this. Twenty minutes later, he calls me to tell me the company won’t do the tire and wheel at ALL, for liability reasons.
I am still sitting as of 2010h waiting for ANY work to be done. Prime has contacted Petro to have the work done in full by them.
This is absolutely the worst service I’ve EVER seen by a road call company.

I brought my car in because the tire was low on air and I thought there was a nail in it. I asked them to repair it and they asked to see it. They immediately said it couldn’t be repaired and would have to be replaced. I asked if there was a chance it was salvageable and they just insisted it wasn’t. They also didn’t have one in that size available so I asked if they could put air in it for me so I could get down the street to another shop. Of course they wouldn’t even do that for me!!!
These people are vultures and I don’t trust them at all.

S&R Tire Center is a locally owned and operated business that provides excellent service from mechanical auto repair to the basic oil change and tire rotation. I have been a customer of them for a few years and I have never had any complaints. They are definitely a customer service oriented company and are always up front on costs of fixing one’s vehicle.
