Nice little place. Staff was very helpful. We got stranded in the blizzard and needed a place to stay. We have some special needs and they accommodated us with no problems, even though it was something they clearly did not normally do. They saw our need and took care of it. We check in at 9:00 am and stayed over night and they only charged us for one night. Where they could have dinged us for the day and a night. Clean and small like a Mircrotel should be. Would stay here again if we ever needed to.

Stayed here for a quick business trip for two nights. Price point was super. Room was clean but a bit wore out. Non smoking room but smelt smoky and musty. AC worked great and fast internet and variety of cable TV channels. Front desk cleared were below average. Left the property one morning around 2:30 am and the front desk clerk was sleeping and didn’t even wake after knocking on the desk a couple times

Needed a last minute place to stay after a debacle at the Country Inn & Suites locally(see my other review of that poor place). We called same-day and were able to get in for the two days we needed as everything else locally was booked solid. PRICE: The price was about $ 79 a night for two queen beds — which is awesome however, we learned exactly why. I was going to give a 2STAR but the price is so low because the owner is too cheap to update and just wants to make some money by people like us who are traveling and just need somewhere to stay. ATMOSPHERE /LOCATION: This is located right off I-65 near a hefty amount of shopping strips, restaurants(late-night Waffle House across the street), and other gas stations etc which has its perks. The outside looked a little disheveled and should have been a red flag, but like I said beggars can’t be choosers. STAFF: The front desk attendant was very nice in checking us in. That’s all I have in this regard. ROOMS: This is mainly designed for a quick stop — all business type of place(no pool, fitness center, etc) but there are some things that a hotel needs to have and needs to do right: #1:Room cleanliness — We got a non-smoking room and our room smelled like a musty ashtray. The bed spread was discolored with a neon yellow spot as if they do the laundry with a highlighter dryer sheet. #2:Bathroom cleanliness — The bathroom was ATROCIOUS. The counter was stained and chipped, the tissue dispenser(metal) has rust splotches on it, and the shower/tub was mildewed and disturbing. ALSOTHEADJUSTABLESHOWERHEADWOULDN’T ADJUST — JUSTSTRAIGHTJETATMYCHEST. Awful! #3:Hallway cleanliness — The hallway was being remodeled and had spackle on the walls and carpet tore up, the carpet was dirty and looked like a vacuum hadn’t been ran since they opened. AMENITIES: Free Wifi was a nice touch– just another bargaining chip to stir up business, but it was slow and kept dropping. The stay came with a continental breakfast that was tucked into a nook the size of a small pantry. One waffle maker and old muffins on a rack. I have stayed in Microtels before(one in SC) and it was good — this one was AWFUL! MAINREASONFOR A 1-STAR: CLEANLINESSANDOUTDATED/BADLY DAMAGEDAMENITIES. If corporate Microtel sees this — I’d love a refund and an explanation — pull your name from this dump.

We stayed there last night. The rooms were amazing and super clean. Could not check in before 3pm even if you wanted to pay extra. They should have that option. It would help out especially when you’re traveling with 2 small children. When we checked in at 330pm and went up to our room they were still cleaning it, so we had to wait in the hallway until they were done. The whole 3rd floor hallway smelt like body odor. When the cleaning crew came out of the room and walked by us the odor got stronger, were assuming it was coming from them. My mother in law had to spray the room with air freshner.

I spent a few nights here last month when I was doing some sightseeing in the area. The room was clean, staff was friendly. The biggest downside that the walls are not soundproofed so I could hear the television in the room on one side and a conversation taking place on the other side. It never became an issue because by the time I went to sleep each night they presumably had already gone to bed. The bed was comfortable but the pillows could stand to be replaced. I had to stack two of them on top of each other because they were so beaten down. The breakfast was a little below average but for the price paid, I would stay here again.

I was not expecting it to be this good! The room was very large and there was a mirror on the back wall that made it look even bigger. There was a flat screen on the wall, free wifi, microwave and a small fridge. The continental breakfast included muffins, cereal, juice, bagels and coffee. Nothing hot but it is continental. We found an add at a welcome center in Kentucky so it only cost 50 dollars. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I would totally stay here again, no lie. The folks at the front desk were very nice and polite, even at the late hour that we checked in. Our room was clean and very comfortable, no weird smells, dead bugs or odd spots. A big bed, window seat(very nice for luggage), tv up on the wall so it wasn’t taking up space, a desk, lots of lights and a big bathroom. We were there just to sleep and that’s just what we did. It’s not a super fancy place, but you can tell they take care of it as much as they need to. Free breakfast was included and was so plain it almost hurt but the pastries were fresh, the bananas looked nice and there was coffee and cereal as well. I do wish more of these hotels had a better selection but I think they might have to order from the same crappy place. I hope it isn’t their fault. When we realized a phone was left behind they were very nice and let us back in to search and it was still there. Awesome! All in all, if you have to stay in a hotel and don’t need all the amenities, Microtel is worth it. And there is a Waffle House RIGHTNEXTTOYOU. So that is great too. Or, if you are feeling adventurous, THEREISANOTHERWAFFLEHOUSEACROSSTHEROAD. I know, too good to be true.
