We went to Los Marachis based upon Unilocal reviews and were very happy. Our waiter was very nice. He seemed to be the only waiter and was running around a lot. The decorations were very beautiful and correlated to the Mayan culture. The staff brought out water, fresh made chips, and salsa. The salsa was made with V8 but very tasty. We started with guacamole and cheese dips. Both appetizers were delicious and super inexpensive. I had read the reviews and some said the food was bland so I asked for my food to be heavily and it was seasoned perfectly. My friend ordered a chimichanga and it was huge. My second friend ordered a vegetable fajita and it was great as well. I ordered Tio Julio which is a meats lover feast of strips of steak, chicken, small shrimp, and chorizo with fajita vegetables. Let me tell you it was so much food in the molcajete it was ridiculously delicious. Needless to say I couldn’t finish it. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was the cheese. It smelled like feet and tasted too creamy. Not my cup of tea. I asked about rice water/horchata and it was the best horchata of my life. I could’ve taken a pitcher to go. Another point of strength was the server who brought out all the meals. That dude with the Mohawk was running around circles around everyone. The skillets and hot plates he was carrying should give that man a raise.

I tried this restaurant a few weeks ago and food their food to be bland and without the true Mexican spice and kick off come to love. The Margaritas were also very weak. The part that bothered me the most was the lack of upkeep of the bathroom. The men’s bathroom in my opinion is waaaayyy too close to the kitchen, there were no paper towels, and I’ve never been to a restaurant that had no hot water. How do you sanitize utensils or hands without the scolding hot water most health inspectors require restaurants to have. I LOVE Mexican food but this place wasn’t that good at all.

Was in town for work and felt like Mexican food for dinner. Checked some reviews on Unilocal and decided on this place. It was in a strip mall, but quite large inside. Chips were crispy, salty and plentiful. Salsa tasted like what we get in Mexican Village in Detroit. I had the Enchiladas, one beef, one chicken, one cheese, one bean. They were good. Their enchilada sauce was very flavorful. I wish I would have noticed that they didn’t come with rice and beans, but I really didn’t need to eat any more anyway! I will be back next time I’m in town!

We usually go to El Maz on Nashville rd a couple times a week but decided to try something new for a change. Glad we did. Brought lots of hot crispy chips and fresh salsa as we ran out, as well as keeping the drinks refilled. I got the Monster Burrito and it was absolutely delicious. All the food was good, service was appropriately quick, overall we will make the drive again to enjoy this restaurant.

I have had nothing but good experiences here. It still has the decorations from when it was Riviera Maya which is a little weird, but it is soooo much better. One of my favorite places.

Cool environment. We had tons of leftovers. It’s my friends favorite place. I had the steak tacos which came with pico, but I wish there was cheese or some sauce or something on it to moisten it up. Limited beer selection. No IPAs or wheats.

Meh… this is an o.k. Mexican restraunt. I got one of the combo platters with a burrito, an enchilada, and a taco. The hard taco was sitting in a puddle of sauce, so one side was nice and crunchy and the other side was a soggy mess. The atmosphere is good and the server was friendly and helpful, but the food was so so.

Ok, this is a hard place to review. The atmosphere/décor is 5 star, the service is five star, the food for the price is 4.0 star. I would go again if in the area, would like to try other dishes. The ones we had were good, and more than I could eat. Will go back just to try the desserts.

It’s hard for me to call somewhere the best ever, but that is what I had here. I ordered the Hawaiian Tacos and was completely blown away. Never has there been a more perfect mixture of flavors exploding all at one time. The service was excellent as well. I think I’ll be stopping here every time I pass through from now on.

Never been let down and always leave full and with leftovers. The wife loves their Chimichangas and the monster burrito hits the spot for me. Best salsa and chips ever, in fact, I recommend it as a cold and flu remedy.

Wow! Wanted Mexican, place was within walking distance of our hotel. I was NOT expecting to have the best Mexican dish I’ve had in as long as I can remember. I got the pollorizo or something, I forget what it was called but it was chicken and chorizo but with a surprise. I didn’t see it mentioned on the menu but apparently they put bacon in with the chicken and chorizo, big chunky delicious bacon. It was perfection. The service was great too!

Good service. Good food. Better than most Mexican restaurants in town. Tacos el Gordo is great and the Hawaiian tacos are as well. Friendly staff and kid friendly. Tomatillo salsa is as hot as magma!
