If this were my first visit to a Freddy’s, I would never go back. Twenty-two minutes in the drive thru and I was only the third car in line. My food was ice cold. She took orders and waited on other people while my sack of food sat on the counter. Threw the fries away.

Poor quality knockoff of Steak and shake. had a double with cheese plus I had the chili cheese Hot Dog. the burger was overly salted as was the fries. hot dog was stale with watered downed can chili. service was the reason I give 2 stars. wont be back

One of the best fast food restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. Their double bacon cheese burger and skinny fries are the best. Also their nutterbutter custard sandwich is pretty incredible!

What a joke the meat is so thin you need to combine two doubles to make a regular hamburger. I would call this a huge rip off. The meat could be used for sunglasses. I will never eat here again.

I love this place. The fry sauce is awesome! I suggest going inside to eat because you get a ton more fries with your meal. I haven’t tried the ice cream yet but the burgers are fantastic. I hope places like this put McDonalds out of business.

Loved the Steakburger and the shoestring French fries. But the chocolate custard was the best. The cone was huge

Not a bad place to eat on this side of town but I wont go out of my way to come here. Custard was really good. make sureto ask them to hold it or they give it to you first

Like others have said, this is kinda a cross between Culver’s and Steak & Shake Location was busy, but the staff was friendly, helpful, and kept things moving(and clean). Food was good — really like their«special» fry sauce.

I’ve now ate at Freddy’s two times now. The first time I came through the drive thru, the second time I ate inside. Both times I ordered the single Freddy’s burger with cheese meal. The good — — the steak burgers are crispy on the ends, which I really like. — they have«Freddy’s sauce» which tastes like its mayo & ketchup or something but it’s really good. — the custard is tasty, not as dense as Culvers but still good. — the fries are shoestring fries & have a seasoning on them which I really like. — I feel like the price for what you get is a value. It’s cheaper than Culvers. — they have Pepsi products The bad — — my first drive thru experience took literally 20 minutes from ordering to getting my food. I understand it’s «made it order» but 20 minutes for a drive thru at noon is ridiculous. — the to go fry container doesn’t really hold the fries well at all. They end up dumped in the bag. — the crispiness of the burger can also get you little pieces of burnt burger when you eat it. Overall I’ve enjoyed the food at Freddy’s. I don’t know if the slow drive thru time was a fluke or not. But I’ll be back for the burgers, fries & custard!

Two words brought us into Freddy’s — «frozen custard» We were in Bowling Green for a soccer tourney & looking for lunch in between games, and we are big custard fans. The restaurant was clean, and the service super friendly — both big plusses. Everyone ordered burgers, and we were surprised at the huge amount of shoestring fries served, even with the kid’s meal. The burger patties were tasty but disappointingly VERY thin(comparable to Steak & Shake). I prefer lettuce, tomato, and mayo on my burgers, each of which were an additional .10 cents(AND the tomato was inedible to boot!) — what the heck? When you spend nearly $ 20 for three burgers, that’s ridiculous. As for the custard, we ordered a sundae & a concrete(blended similar to a Blizzard). The custard itself was good, but again I was disappointed at the details… The medium concrete would have been a small anywhere else and was seriously lacking in the mix-ins department. Their sundaes are more generous in size & include one topping, with a .60 cent charge for each additional — I understand that, but my «additional topping» was literally less than a teaspoon worth. Again, when spending almost $ 9 on two medium desserts, I expected a bit better. To sum up, Freddy’s was adequate, but fell well short of expectations. Culver’s is MUCH better

I was pretty skeptical about if I would like Freddy’s since I don’t like steak and shake but I was pleasantly surprised! I got the single patty combo and my husband got the single patty with onion rings. The onion rings weren’t the best, maybe a little too sweet for me but the fries were seasoned well and crispy! The burgers were pretty good and a good size. If I were traveling through this area I would stop here again!

First time eating here. We decided to go here since the Steak and Shake had bad reviews. Glad we did! So good. Burgers are delicious. Fries are shoestring and you get a crazy amount of them! Was too full to try the custard– next time will have to save room! Military discounts on Mondays which I love because my dad is a vet.

Freddy’s is okay for me! Although the restaurant is fairly clean and the employees are always friendly, the food and desserts are not my favorite. They could go a bit lighter on the salt… on everything!

I thought I was fairly knowledgeable about smaller, regional restaurant chains, but I had never heard of Freddy’s prior to yesterday. As mentioned in other reviews, their fare is similar to the food at Steak & Shake and Culver’s. I do like both of those places, but after one visit, I would give Freddy’s a slight edge. I ordered the #1 combo, which was the Freddy’s Original Double with fries. The burger came with pickle, onion, and mustard. The kid at the counter actually told me those things were on the burger, and asked if that was ok. I guess some people order that, and expect lettuce and tomatoes or something. The burger was really good, but there was nothing unusual or distinctive about it. The star of the show, however, was the fries. They are the shoestring variety, and they’re thinner than the fries at Steak & Shake. For those who remember the old G.D. Ritzy’s chain, the fries at Freddy’s are just like those. Really. And they gave me so many that I could only eat about half of them. Also, they have this stuff called Freddy’s Fry Sauce which was really good, too. It seemed to be ketchup mixed with something, but I couldn’t tell what that something was. For beverages, they had Pepsi products. I didn’t try any of the frozen custard.

Similar to Steak & Shake or Culver’s but the burgers are bigger and a bit salty. The seasoned shoestring fries are similar to S&S, too, but a little more interesting due to the seasoning. I had the California burger which didn’t seem very Californian to me as the one big difference being they didn’t use mustard & ketchup but Freddy’s Sauce(a ketchup/mayo concoction I think) and included a tomato in their toppings. All in all, fairly forgettable but still far better than say, Burger King. That’s not really an accomplishment though.

First visit by my wife and I. I had double steak burger, it was great. Wife had patty melt, she confirmed it was also delis. Fries are awesome. And Carmel shake for fun. We will be back. Harold & Renee. Renee just reminded me to mention very friendly service and clean as a whistle. H

My thought on leaving Freddy’s was that this is a cross between Steak and Shake and Culvers. And it was the best of both. The burger was impressive, and I look forward to trying it again. I’m not sure how I haven’t heard of this place before. Bring a store to Nashville!

Adequate but not as good as Steak & Shake just a couple of miles up the road. The steak burger is very similar, thin patties, doubled up and served with shoestring fries. We tried today after they have only just opened and we are not in any hurry to return —— nothing special. They do offer 15% discounts for military veterans on Mondays only.
