This place is GHETTO. They use a lot of dollar store products & even use the bags for trash liners. The equipment is old & outdated. I bought a Groupon to have a pedi/mani and now I see why they use Groupon. There regular prices are not cheap. Save your money go to the Dollar store yourself and buy everything you need to do your own nails. They will probably turn out better too.

I purchased the shellac manicure and regular pedicure LivingSocial deal. The nail tech is a very sweet & funny lady. The regular nail polish selection was very small with the only professional nail polish brands being Opi and the new weekly nail polish. The pedicure apparatus was very small and vintage. My feet weren’t soft after the pedicure. She cut my toes nails way too short. If she moved 1 cm down w/the nail clippers she would have cut to the skin! Polish application was very sloppy, but she did clean it up afterwards. I didn’t receive manicure only shellac polish. I was afraid that I was going to get skin cancer as long as she had me place my hand under the UV lamp! She cut me while trimming my cuticles because she trimmed it with my hands being dry(remember I didn’t get a manicure). The worst part was she reused EVERYTHING! The bowl of nail polish remover and bowl of alcohol were both poured into their original containers! This deal should be deleted from LivingSocial!

If I haven’t bought a groupon for this place I would certainly be requesting my money back. The mani was fine but the pedi… I have never seen anything like it. There was no water involved. The room was a whole in the wall and the chair looked like something out of my great grand fathers garage. I have added pictures.

I had a Groupon for the manicure/pedicure. First, appointments were hard to come by, and I would have to wait over a month for my appointment. I had 3 sessions, and only used 2. I can’t seem to bring myself to go to my last. The pedicures were done in a very small space in the back of the parlor. The polishes were very old, and you could tell because they were thick and clumpy. Both times I went, my nail polish came off the next day. She did not even have any slippers for me to leave in, I had to put on my regular shoes, or wait there a long time for my nails to dry. The nail technician, although very nice, was not very good at doing nails. I think she is a novice, with little experience. I gave this place a shot, but will only go to a nail salon from now on.

My son’s gone in here twice for a haircut and was satisfied both times as they were open on a Sunday afternoon which was a convenient tine and he didn’t have to wait. The guy works quickly and gets the job done. Not that stylish but at least it’s cut fairly well. And it’s wheelchair accessible! Adding a new comment: went there on a Tuesday and Jimi James cut my son’s hair and did an OUTSTANDING job! Very cool and stylish and showed my son how to add a front swirl if he wanted it!

I made an appointment for a shellac mani/regular pedi in August, and the first available date was in October. I showed up 5 minutes early and was not impressed at all. I walked to the counter and waited to be greeted. The man sitting there was so engrossed in the news that he didn’t turn around say hello. He was sitting diagonally across the counter from me. I can’t believe that he didn’t see me staring at him waiting to be greeted, out of his peripheral vision. After about 30 seconds of staring at him, smelling the second hand smoke he emitted, I finally said something. I was already irritated, but polite. He told me my manicurist was finishing up another client & to have a seat. It took another employee, who came in from her break to tell him that she wasn’t there. WHAT? I was pissed. I bought a Groupon for this place, so I’m going back to my new appointment on Friday. If she’s not there I’m getting my money back. I’ve had great experiences with Groupons in the past. This place let me know that u need to be more careful and buy Groupons for places with which I’m familiar. I’ll update after my appointment on Friday. So, I went back on Friday, and will NEVER, EVER return. EVER! The manicurist told me that she told them she had a dentist appointment and would be out. The receptionist penciled out her slots in the appt book, but someone else erased it & made my appt. I know she was telling the truth because I saw the eraser marks myself. Maria was very nice, and because she was a sweet lady, I’ll say no more about her. The polish was OLD! I felt like I was looking through my grandma’s collection. When I found a color, I could just hear myself saying, «Grandma, look at you with this hot color – go head Grandma!» The pedicure chair looked like they bought it before I was born. When she was done, it looked decent, but I could have done a more professional looking job on myself. By the time I got home for a party, the polish was all smudged, even though I waited an hour to put shoes on. My shellac mani is worth the cheap cost of my Groupon, so I’m not mad. But had I paid standard rate, I’d be pissed! She had to re-do a couple of nails because the polish slipped off. I think she just learned how to do gel nails. The shop is old looking, and a whole ‘nother story. Everything in it, stations, supplies, towels, flooring, EVERYTHING should’ve been replaced 5 years ago. Just atrocious! Do yourselves a favor and STAYAWAY!!! Too bad Unilocal makes you pick at least one star, because this place deserves no star at all.

This place is a joke. I purchased a groupon in June knowing $ 25 for shellac and a pedi was a great price, plus the salon was not far from my home at all. They were so booked that I wasn t able to get an appointment til just recently, in mid-August. In the meantime, my friend had purchased the same deal and managed to get and earlier appointment. She warned me it was certainly nothing to write home about and she was correct. It really bothers me when salons that tote themselves as higher quality pay so little attention to their nail department– the pedi station was in a closet which was cluttered with dollar store-esque scrubs and items. No whirlpool chair, a chair and sink, and a loose foot stand. Mani stations were normal but the polish collection looked like it had been sitting at an old woman s garage sale a few years too long. Most weren t even salon brands(sinful colors, that $ 1.99 at the drugstore brand, anyone?) There was SOMEOPI and one or two china glaze or essie but all in colors that were as dated as the salon itself — lots of old reds and dusty roses. Not much quality or selection at all. The Shellac was fine, but note that they do carry the brand name shellac only, which again means limited color selection. Many salons have started carrying competitors gel polish for this reason, but again, this salon is not up with the times. I got a french since I m not a fan of many shellac colors, and it is OK. Not a disaster but not the best quality either. The tech was nice enough and I can t argue with the groupon price, but for full salon price, it is certainly not worth it.

The only person you need to go to here is Anne. She does all hair types and styles including updos. Bring in any picture, she can replicate it. 5 stars for her, three for everyone else.

The salon is just«okay.» On the day I was in I found it to be a salon targeting seniors. I’m not sure if this is the normal clientelle age group. Dom, the owner, was my stylist. He was quick, which was nice, but had two other ladies shampoo and condition my hair. One of them was a little rude. I had the impression she was inconvenienced by having to wash my hair for someone else. My hair coloring experience was like I had received a hair color from a box. Then, for the highlights, he used a cap. I feel like I could have purchased a DIY box kit and saved myself $ 165. Very overpriced hair experience. The worst part was that the color faded and exposed my roots in under a week. Will not be going back!
