If it were possible to give this restaurant a zero I absolutely would. This was one the most awful dining experiences I have ever had… period. We called at 6 pm for a 7 pm seating time for a party of 6(we were told arrive at 6:45 with our call ahead number). We arrived to find this place overrun with people! Our party was not called, the first time, until about 7:30. We were walked to a small booth that was meant for four. When we pointed out to the hostess that there were 6 of us, it was then that she told us that the hostess only had us down for three people. She left us standing in the middle of floor to go back the hostess stand. When she came back she brought us another buzzer and told us that there had been a mistake and we would have to continue to wait for another table large enough to seat our entire party… she didn’t know how much longer that would be but that we were at the top of the list for the next table large enough to seat our party. After waiting another twenty minutes I went to hostess stand to inquire about the wait time and the hostess just stood there looking at me. doing nothing. I pointed out that a large table had opened up right where we had been standing and no one had called us to be seated(supposedly we were next on the list). I was told that the second half of a party had to be seated there and they had been waiting for two hours. At that point I asked to see a manager. When the manager finally arrived I relayed our entire saga to her and was told, again, that we were next on the list. She said that she would personally make sure we were seated at the next table. About 8 pm we were finally seated in a booth that barely fit our party of six; there was not enough room for those of sitting on the inside to fully raise our arms to eat. Faith, our server, was the ONLY part of the experience that was even remotely worth the horrendous wait. The appetizers and the meal were mediocre at best… NOTWORTHTHATWAIT. We were finally ready to get out there but made the mistake of using the restroom first. The only thing worse than the wait and dining experience was the deplorable condition of the bathroom. We opened the door to find about a quarter inch of standing dirty water covering a majority of the floor. We had to step over an overturned ‘wet floor’ sign into the dirty water to get to the stalls. There were wet rags and paper towels all around the toilets… in the dirty water. One woman was making an attempt to mop up some of the water… the dirty water… with paper towels so that her children could use the restroom. We attempted to wash our hands on our way out and the water was ICECOLD. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL experience and I will never eat at another Texas Roadhouse again!

The worst. I’m sorry. I didn’t like anything about it. Enough said… anyone want this gift card. I promise I won’t be using it.

I had a nice dining experience here yesterday. Our wait time was short and my server Otto was very attentive. First the rolls… so hot, fresh and buttery, I love them! I ordered the Country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and cream gravy with a house salad. All where very tasty and fresh. My food came out pretty quickly with the restaurant being crowded. I took away one star, because my daughter’s chicken finger meal came out about 10 minutes after my dinner arrived and the chicken fingers were a little over cooked. BTW… she’s a very picky eater so that was a no go!

THISRESTAURANTISABSOLUTELYAWFUL. IFYOUHAVEANYOTHERRESTAURANTOPTIONS, GOSOMEWHEREELSE. After being seated for 15 minutes we finally flagged down a server to see why we weren’t greeted, etc. We were assigned no server. When our server showed up 20 mins into our visit. She took our order and brought salads, but no beverage or bread. We asked yet another server for bread and drinks. 15 mins later we get our steaks. Most of our food was cold — and my «MR ribeye» was well done and tough and looked a lot like a sirloin. Ten mins later I received another«ribeye» which was RAW. THEYCANNOTCOOKSTEAKS. After the disappointment with food temps and quality we asked for the manager. He had dropped by earlier when we only had salads and no drinks, etc., and asked if everything was ok. You’d think he look at the table and see that it was not ok. Our second interaction with this manager(who was on duty at 3:30 on 1÷16÷16) included the story of our short sighted server/s and our terrible food. At this point he had brought me the third«ribeye», which was flat and shaped like the U.S. How is that possible? He offered to pay for my steak I couldn’t eat, but seemed very unconcerned and passive about the food/experience. We told him keep the food, we’re leaving, not paying for this garbage, and we are NEVEREVER coming back. Wish I could have charged him for the wasted hours of our life. We left and went to Ledos. I hope Texas Roadhouse corporate reads this review and fires the manager and the kitchen staff.

Smh… stomach is doing backflips. Something was off. Not rotated. Not properly cooked or properly handled. Got the boneless wings, bacon cheeseburger and had a beer. Tried a bite of steak. Immediately after my stomach and digestive system were in distress for the next several hours. Place was busy, hope this isn’t because they are busy and cutting corners to save time. This sucks now I have to stay up all night and be sick. Thanks…

Every once in a while, you get a craving for steak(or, I do anyway). When that calling comes, why not slake the thirst at a place known for just that, steaks? I know it’s a chain, but the Texas Roadhouse in Bowie is pretty awesome at providing what it says it does. The steaks have usually been outstanding(yeah, not Prime level, but good for an accessible chain). The service is mostly good. The sides and other options are acceptable.(I don’t come here for the salad). What I like about it, is that I can get a solid steak for not a huge amount of dollars, and when I’m in the mood for laid-back and delicious red meat, I don’t want to have to get all fancy. Don’t get me wrong, Fancy has it’s place, but it’s not what I’m always feeling. TR has that rustic vibe that almost compels you to chill out for a while. ALLERGYNOTE: They are also one of those places that has peanuts everywhere. Used to be shells all over the ground, but they stopped that practice a while ago. But, every table has a bucket full of them, plus a barrel near the waiting area. If you are extremely sensitive to peanuts or the like, well… maybe opt for sushi instead? The servers are usually pretty good here. We’ve had the occasional misfire in the past, but it’s the exception, not the rule. For instance, last time we had to flag someone else down for a refill as our server disappeared for a huge amount of time. Overall, though, we find pretty attentive and reliable service. Basic, simple, no fuss, and a great steak. What more could one ask for?

It’s a chain steakhouse, nothing special. BUTITISWAYTOONOISY! I am old, but not really a fuddy-duddy. This place just seems loud, too much to enjoy your meal. Service was good, steak was just OK.

Texas Roadhouse in Bowie is the epitome of hit-or-miss. When the staff working(from the hostess up to the cooks, servers and managers) is doing a good job, you will have a mostly pleasant experience, I’d say 3 ½ stars. However, this is often not the case and as my numerous visits over the years indicate, the service as a whole is deteriorating. Upon arrival and seat ushering, you are normally presented an opportunity to «select your steak.» The steaks are behind a glass cabinet — I suggest you take them up on their offer and select a steak that you like — otherwise, you are prone to getting one that may not be up to your standards. I.E. if you like a rarer steak, get one that’s thicker because it’s harder to overcook it, select a steak with better marbling for a more tender steak, etc. You will get seated with some rolls, which are pretty good. They come with cinnamon butter. This is unfortunately the best part of the meal, more often than not. The sides I typically get are the mashed potatoes, the fries, the mixed veggies(which consist of broccoli and carrots), or the sweet potato. These sides are all decently appetizing most of the time. Several times I have tried the fries«loaded» with bacon and cheese, but it’s disgusting. They literally put the concoction in the microwave and it’s just gross. Do not think you’ll be getting something even half as good as Outback’s cheese fries, because you will be very disappointed if you do. Most of the time, the steak is overcooked, i.e. if you ask for medium you will get medium well or well. If you bother saying something, a manager will try to accommodate you to make it right but when all you really want to do is eat a steak and be done with it, it’s really not worth the effort. Usually they want to take your steak back and make a new one, but do you really want to wait for that as the rest of your party eats in front of you? My wife sometimes gets the grilled chicken salad and the skinny girl margarita, and she really does enjoy these items. The oven roasted half chicken is good more often than not — when it’s not good, it’s just overcooked and dry. The ribs are«okay,» nothing special and definitely not«fall off the bone delicious» as their hold message indicates when you call them. When firing on all cylinders and things are going well, the most annoying part of the visit is the volume of the music blaring over the loudspeaker. It is routinely so loud that you can’t have a normal conversation with people at your own table, sitting directly across from you. Don’t bother doing a «To-go» order! The few times I’ve done it, I’ve still had to wait forever in my car to get the food. The last straw was when I called to place a to-go order, sat on hold for over 10 minutes, called from my wife’s phone and then they went to take my order. Despite the fact that my initial call from ten minutes earlier was still on hold, in my other hand! If given the choice, I would go to Outback in Bowie for more consistently good service, tastier food, and a better, less noisy environment.

I love this place and apparently so does everyone else. Wait is usually super long but you can call ahead. The food is sooo good and flavorful. Steaks are always tender and cooked the way I order them. The rolls are delicious but 100 calls each… I’m still deciding if they’re worth it… They must be because I keep eating them, with cinnamon butter of course! I never leave here hungry, in fact I’ve never had dessert here because I’m always stuffed after I’ve had my meal. The margarita/sangria swirl frozen drink is delicious, so is the peach one with rum(also frozen). The service has never been bad. I really like Texas Roadhouse and this location doesn’t disappoint.

The bread is amaze balls but that’s about it. They dried my ribeye out. I asked for medium but received medium well. They have a crap load of flies too but I don’t think they can help that. All in all I had a better experience in Colorado.

Planning to catch up with my friend and continue her birthday festivities– we decided to meet here at Texas Roadhouse. Because it had been so long since my last visit, I didn’t know what to expect in terms of clientele or how busy they are on Thursday nights. I used the Call Ahead Seating feature and boy am I happy I did. We arrived at 6:15 and it was PACKED. Luckily, there was no delay in getting seated. The server delivered those hot fresh rolls & sweet butter spread to torment me. We placed orders and started girl talk but the noise level made it difficult to hear all the juicy details. To exacerbate the situation, it was like 10 other people’s birthday so each time the staff gave the TR Saddle Up cheer we had to pause but it added to the fun mood. It didn’t take long for our food to be delivered. My grilled shrimp were tender and well seasoned. The portion sizes are large and the prices are so reasonable. Great value! I had to do a double take of the bill which included drinks. I enjoyed my visit and the meal. Our young server was a friendly Bowie State University student so we didn’t give him a hard time since that’s my friend’s alma mater. However, I was parched and had to look for him to replenish my glass of water. Also, the discarded dishes were never removed from our table and no one checked to see if we wanted dessert. I think a little more training will fix this.

Second time they are messing up my order at the curbside. I Ordered Texas combo ½ bbq chicken and ribs. They brought out grilled bbq chicken breast instead. I mean where’s the rest of the chicken that I ordered. The server is friendly, and their food is good but if you order curbside, be prepared to wait, and make sure you check your food before going home.

I am just realizing I have never rated this place. My most recent experience was last night. My daughter and I love the rolls with the cinnamon butter. Absolutely delicious. I come here because it’s a decent steak place and the prices are good. The last time I was here, I had a young Asian girl for a waitress and she was horrible. It was pretty obvious our meals were sitting around for too long. By the time we received them, they were lukewarm and the fries were gross. I didn’t send anything back because I didn’t have time to wait. Last night was kind of awful. Not the food, the service. Omarr was a really nice guy, but he does not do well with multitasking. Me and my daughter went to the restroom after waiting a long time for our food and when we came back, it was just sitting on the table. I wanted A1 steak sauce, but he never came back to the table, so I had to go without. We were never offered refills(my drink was pretty watered down). After our meal, we waited a total of 32 minutes just to get the check. That was the slowest service I have ever had there. I would have talked to him about his service, but I waited to long and just wanted to go home. If I don’t want to spend a lot of money, I’ll return to this place and ask not to be seated in his section… if he’s still there.

Went here yesterday with my family. I called ahead and requested seating for a party of nine at 530. She said okay fine, just make sure your entire party is here because we won’t seat you until everyone arrives. That was no big deal. When we arrived we was told that we were going to be separated into two tables. I had an issue with that seeing as I see three people sitting at the long table when they could have been in a booth. But when big sis says it’s fine, you go with big sis decision. So now, our children are sitting in a booth across from us. Everything seems to be okay until we have two servers because one controls one side of the room and the other does the other side. Okay, fine. Whatever. I’m just ready to eat at this point. So we order the Texas blossom or the blooming onion as it known and it’s comes out fast. Fast, hot and crunchy as there was barely any onions, only hard crunchy batter. The bread was always delicious so no complaints there. Love love love that butter! Also, the food came out fast and was hot. The steaks were well done as requested but they looked very dark and crispy. Sorta burnt looking but it was moist and very well seasoned. The ribs are good. They are pork so you know they bomb. But seriously tho, they are tender and seasoned well and covered in BBQ sauce. The sides were ehhh, just ok. Nothing to write home about. I always stick with the baked potato and the string beans cause you can’t mess up a baked potato. Well, since we have two servers, our server does not like it when we ask server number two for anything. And when we did, he’d always take it from him and bring it. It was quite the scene. Anyway, so we eat and it’s my turn to pick up the check so I request the check and I got two bills. Well apparently since you have two servers and two different tables, you have two bills aka two charges on your card. And two tax prices. Not cool. So I ask why two bills and apparently it’s policy. Wow. Lesson learned. All in all, good food, good prices, good customer service, bad check policy, and a crowded parking lot.

I had a bad experience ordering to go once before, where I sat in my car for over an hour and was eventually handed cold food. I was pissed, but that was then, and this is now & a 2nd chance isn’t too much to ask for but apparently some things don’t change. I ordered a bone-in ribeye with mixed veggies and apple sauce, told the server what car I’ll be sitting in & began to let a playlist take me away. 40minutes later someone finally walks up to my car as if to TAKE my order & she knew that I was sitting there long before that so why bother to acknowledge me now? I show her my order receipt & was told she’ll be right out my food. …fast forward ANOTHER20minutes where I decide to head inside and simply cancel my order. I’m tired, pissed & simply don’t care anymore and I’d like my money back. Instead I’m met with«I’ll check on your order and see if it’s done, and if it’s done, do you still want to cancel?» Me: «whatever…» Oh joy, she returned saying it’s done. …of course it is, and it’s likely cold because it was likely done 30min ago being that it doesn’t take an hour to heat meat and vegetables and apple sauce is served cold for crying out loud. I ask«was this sitting back there all this time and is it cold?» She replies«oh noooo it just came out, sir. It’s hot. We’re just really busy so orders are coming out slow». Well you need to inform your customers of abnormal wait times, it’s the decent thing to do! And of course after touching my steak because I wasn’t just gonna take her word for it, it’s COLD!!! My rolls were warmer than my steak! And a STEAKHOUSE ran out of A1 sauce. This will be my last time patronizing. Granted, the food is delicious when done right, and the butter that comes with the rolls is pretty nice, I simply cannot continue to support horrible service that obviously goes unchecked ESPECIALLY when there are establishments a million times better. No, thank you.

I had to lower my star rating because I was disappointed from a recent visit here. I showed up with a party of 8 on a Monday at around 4:15. The restaurant was basically empty. The hostess wanted to seat us right by the bathrooms at a booth with an extended leaf. Whoever that would be sitting at the leaf would literally be sitting in the middle of the aisle. We asked to be seated on the other end of the restaurant at a table that could comfortably accommodate us. The hostess was very hesitant about the change, so we asked for the manager. The hostess came back and told us that the manager said we couldn’t sit at the more comfortable table because that section was«closed.» Closed? Two people were just seated in the same area. Since the manager didn’t think it was proper for him to come out and speak to us and try to accommodate our request of sitting at a table, as a opposed to sitting at a booth, we left. The wonderful thing about living in America is… you have options. Clearly our tab would’ve been well over $ 100, but since they clearly don’t know the meaning of customer service, we took our business elsewhere. I never would’ve imagined switching to a table from a booth would be that big of a deal. Who wants to be jammed in a booth when only 5 other people are in the entire restaurant. Oh well, their loss! Thanks Longhorn for accommodating our party of 8.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Maryland. I’m never disappointed when I come. Great customer service. The manager on duty usually comes by to make sure everything is okay. I love that. If you’ve never been, they have peanuts while you wait and when you are seated. Great atmosphere. You also get these amazing, mouth watering rolls… which comes with a side of CINNAMONBUTTER!!! Omg!!!(I’m typing this while I’m stuffing my face with one now) For my main course, I ordered the Ribeye Steak and Grilled Shrimp combo with seasoned rice and steamed broccoli! WHooooooWeeeee!!! :)

Absolutely LOVE this place! They have the best BBQ for the price in the area! For starters, the bread is off the chain! Freshly made and buttery soft bread just melts in your mouth as you are seated at the table. The sweet tea is yummy and I’ve only had one alcoholic beverage that was really good too. The ribs, pulled pork, grilled shrimp skewers, and country fried chicken with cream gravy are MUST haves! Their sides are pretty good too! Love the sweet potato and loaded mashed potatoes! Let’s talk about their service… I haven’t had a bad or even just mediocre experience with the service. Katie is an AMAZING server! Overall, definitely a 5 star experience for a very reasonable price!
