It’s convenient that this place is on campus, however, I don’t think it’s worth the hype. Firstly, the prices are too high for what you get. I’ve been to cafes in and around Boulder that were cheaper and better. Secondly, there is a bit of a coffee-snob atmosphere at this place. I think this is the company itself and not necessarily this particular location. What I mean by this is that I never know what I’m going to get. If I order a macchiato, I’m expecting a regular sized drink with more coffee than milk but instead I get a little shot of coffee with a dab of milk on it. If I order a tea latte, they call it something else that doesn’t taste the same as what I’m used to. Basically, they do things really differently from any other coffee place I’ve been to. That’s not necessarily bad except that I want to know what I’m ordering and not to feel foolish when I don’t know what I’m talking about in «fancy» coffee/tea terms. Lastly, I don’t find that the drinks taste as good as other places that are near to or on campus and for the price, I’ll walk to a café that’s less conveniently located.
