I walked in there and ask the guy if I could order a coffee and he said he was too busy. what?! It’s a coffee shop. Lame.

Yummmity yumm. We’ve been back two times for lunch. We had sandwichs, pot pies(beef was my fav), soup and cup cakes(my new fav choco cup cake, Kara’s cupcakes from SF just got dethroned), coffee(they make better boxcar coffee than boxcar). oh and cheese cake. Everything was fresh, flavourful and felt good in the tummy too. We’ll be back. I will add that the turkey dumpling soup was just ok, it was bland, Oily and the dumpling had no texture.

We are so happy to have had the opportunity to work with Shamane for our wedding! We opted out of a traditional wedding cake for dessert at our reception and went for mini pies instead– fantastic choice! While I’m certain that anything Shamane bakes would be wonderful, we were super impressed and happy with our mini pies! I would definitely recommend Shamane and her pies!

Shamane did such an amazing job on our wedding cake and cupcakes! She was recommended by our venue and did not disappoint! Everyone at the wedding raved about the various cupcakes(especially red velvet and carrot!) we had Vienna and champagne toast as our wedding cake and cannot wait to try later on! Thank you so much!

A few years back the pot pies were the BEST I’ve ever had. The ingredients were quality. Beef pot pie was my fave. I just went back to get, what I remembered, being the most awesome melt-in– your– mouth pot pie, which I hadn’t enjoyed in over a year… I was, sadly, disappointed. The chicken pot pie was bland, at best and the beef pot pie had chewy grisly beef chunks. Now I’m in search of a new place for the best pot pie ever. I will add, however, that my friend really enjoyed his sandwich

Shamane created our wedding cake and some additional desserts for our wedding day in Beaver Creek. Her and her team are so friendly and flexible. Not to mention that their desserts are to die for! Shamane was so responsive and we worked together to find a solution to get our desserts up the mountain in one piece. I can’t wait to return for more desserts for our next event!

Ordered a cutting cake for my wedding from Shamanes. It was beautiful from the outside but it was completely dry and disgusting as far as taste goes. We were very disappointed as we had read so many good reviews and were hopeful regarding the flavors available. Most if not all of our guests took a bite then returned it because it was that bad! Will not be recommending Shamanes to anyone soon!

My now husband and I got married in Lyons, this past July 12th. We didn’t want to do the customary wedding cake so we opted for pie. After reading through reviews, I contacted Shamane to see if she could do dessert from us. Because we were still living in Washington at the time, we communicated entirely via email. Shamane’s a busy woman I’m sure but still managed to respond to every email and address any issues or concerns I had(unlike another pie vendor in Denver I contacted). We ended up ordering 15 pies for 115 people and all I can say is, THEYWEREAMAZING! I’ve been to too many weddings where the food and dessert were forgettable in taste even if the presentation is good. Not the case for mine. Everyone I spoke to about the dessert raved about them. We over-ordered because we wanted to be sure that we had enough and we ended up with only 2 pies leftover the next morning. Those were gone by the afternoon. The only thing I regret is that I only got two slices, they were going that fast. The price was also very reasonable and much cheaper than if we’d gone for a standard wedding cake. She delivered to Lyons from Boulder for a $ 45 fee. I’ve never been to her location but if you want flavor, I’d say you should stop in and try her stuff. Or go to the Boulder Farmer’s market on Wednesday(I think). Five stars and if we ever do a gathering with pie for dessert again, we’ll be swinging by Boulder.

Shamane created the most beautiful and delicious cake imaginable for our wedding! She delivered it herself to our venue and was beyond sweet and just so wonderful to work with from start to finish. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for fabulous desserts and cakes!

Looking for a place for a quick weekday brunch, we found Shamane’s. Had Chicken Pot Pie which was both beautiful and delicious, and the Quiche of the day(vegetarian), which was also excellent. The dining area is small, comfortable, and homey. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Oh!, and the Lavender Lemonade was refreshing and not too sweet. Perfect!

The most darling little place, lovely staff, and delightful options. I’m celiac, and the gluten free orange cranberry muffin I had was by far one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. Oh my god. The coffee wasn’t terrible, I wouldn’t go out of my way for it, but the the baking and the shop itself more than made up for it. Wonderful.

I was looking for a french silk pie for my bf’s birthday. In my search for the best bakery, since I’m not one to order from a bakery ever, I found this place. No french silk on the menu so I had to settle for the chocolate cream pie… I really wanted the french silk but I’m so glad I went ahead with the choco cream! The bf is a chocolate lover and was incredibly pleased but it was the crust that totally won me over. The price was reasonable and Shamane was quick to respond to my emails. I think I will be ordering more pies in the future; totally worth it.

Shamane is very kind and does a good job with communicating/responding quickly. The tasting was wonderful, and our wedding cake was presented and decorated beautifully, but I thought it tasted a bit dry for the price.

What can I say??? Anything baked here i heavenly — so if you make that part of your meal, you can’t go that wrong. And they offer a fried egg as an option on your order, so great! I had a sando with egg, heaven.

I’m about to drive away from the most delicious brunch ever and I’m in a rush so I’ll make this quick… things we tried that were AMAZING: Veggie Quiche Chocolate croissant Chocolate dipped cupcake Apple pie Blueberry pie Green chile burrito Molten brownie Chocolate chip cookie There were only 2 of us. We couldn’t stop ourselves once we tried the first thing. The service was great and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The place is small but comfortable and very cute. I will DEFINITELY be back and recommend this place to everyone. The sweets aren’t overpowering with sugar. You can really taste the ingredients and the effort they put into the food. Such a fantastic experience. I wish I had time to say more!

I was sadly disappointed in Shamane’s. We were looking specifically for a cupcake baker for our wedding, who could also make us a cake for the ceremony. I read on the website that shamane was on the board for the famers market, so I had very high hopes for quality as well as her comitment to the community and the environment. We pre-ordered a box of cupcakes to taste, but what we received was not what we ordered(included red velvet, which we specifically did not want). We also bought two additional cupcake flavors when we were there, but that caused us to get a duplicate, the red velvet — of course. :( The sample box itself was made of plastic(as were the individual cupcake containers) instead of biodegradable or compostable materials. We are particularly sensitive to this since we are trying to have a green wedding. :( We didn’t schedule a meeting since shamane said she was busy, but she came out to talk to us when we were there. :) We asked about doing something pumpkin flavored out of season, and instead of just saying no, she offered to use canned or frozen pumpkin :(I bet she was just trying to give us options in case we absolutely had to have pumpkin at our wedding, but I would have preferred that a baker try to talk us out of doing something that might not live up to their standard of quality. The cupcakes themselves were also not great. They weren’t bad, but they didn’t live up to our expectations. We had everyone in my fiances family help us with tasting, but no one was very impressed. The chocolate chocolate one was very dense and heavy. There was so much cocoa in the cupcake part it tasted almost bitter like dark chocolate, but the frosting wasn’t sweet enough to balance it out. On its own the chocolate frosting was also light on chocolate. Everyone disliked this one, but for different reasons. The lemon cupcake was okay, there was a nice sour center of lemon curd or the like. I thought it could be more sour, but another of the wedding party thought it was almost too sour. Though this was several peoples favorite, we were all talking about the lemon in the middle, no one noticed the cupcake or the frosting. The red velvet(as previously stated, bride and groom’s least favorite flavor) was almost nondescript and didn’t leave much of a memory. The one comment I heard was that the cream cheese flavor in the frosting made the frosting a smidge too tart. My favorite was the carrot cake. I love carrot/zucchini/pumpkin/veggies in my baking, so no surprise here. The crowd had the same comment about the cream cheese frosting in the carrot, but I quite liked the cupcake, though I would have preferred more spice. One star for the turkey sandwich we ordered for lunch, which was actually very good. Another star for the lavender rose lemonade, which was fabulous. :) The third star is for the blueberry rhubarb tart we also picked up while there. Toasted in the oven for five minutes after we got it home, it was the whole family’s favorite item(too bad we were shopping for cupcakes). As a café, I’d recommend this place. But if you are looking for cupcakes, maybe try a cupcake specific baker, we’ve had better luck with those.

I planned my wedding in Estes Park from out of state and Shamane was great and very helpful through the entire process. I got 4 different cakes each a different flavor and the end result was better than I was expecting. The cakes the day of the wedding were just as good as they were during the tasting and she captured my vision perfectly. I got the rose petal and lemon(my personal favorite), coconut, almond and raspberry(my second favorite) and champagne toast as my flavors. Everyone at the wedding was impressed and each of my guests had picked a favorite. If I were to do it all over again I would pick Shamanes bake shoppe in a heart beat.

Nothing really beats the homemade goodness of this eatery. It’s almost dangerous to go because you want to order almost everything on the menu and then have 3 cookies! They have a lot of their freshly baked food on display and my mouth starts watering right when I get inside. The spicy black bean burger and chicken pot pie are my favorites, with the chicken club not far behind.

I used to work near this bakery shop and would come here at least once a week. In the mornings, I would look in the«day old» basket to see what items were discounted to $ 1 and buy all of them if possible :). Some days, there would be chocolate croissants and other times it would be a muffin or chocolate chip cookie. Everything always tasted great. If you want something not sweet for breakfast, they offer huge yummy quiches or breakfast burritos too. For lunch, I highly recommend their pot pies. I had their chicken pot pie today which is very savory, and the crust is so flaky and buttery. If it’s the right season, they offer LOBSTER pot pie which is superb. Finish off your lunch with one of their cupcakes and you’ll think you’re in heaven.
