Well we ordered a bed and mattress and we are now still waiting some 7 weeks later. The latest phone call for the delay was a piece of the bed is missing. The first delay in delivery was the weather. Hmmm… our credit card has been charged in full and we’ve still no bed. Try shopping somewhere else.

Extremely poor business sense and practice, would not recommend at all. Placed my order for a bed over the phone and sent a follow up email stating I wanted to add a bedding cover to the existing order. Never heard back. Received a courtesy call regarding the bed delivery and mentioned I was interested in the bedding cover and had never heard back. Was busy attending a business convention and not checking personal email, returned home two days later to find email stating the«font size is so small on your previous email I somehow missed it.» Emailed back asking if I could get break on the shipping of the bedding cover and was told the item shipped from a separate location so additional shipping charge would apply regardless. I emailed back telling them I would pass. Received email saying the item had shipped and that I would be held responsible for restocking and return shipping fees! No joke! At this point I lost it and openly apologize to the office person completely unrelated to this transaction who bore the brunt of my wrath. I get worked up when someone tries to outright RIPMEOFF. Back this scenario up, look at events and how it could have been handled. Staff member(L…) misses email, comes up with lame excuse regarding font size, then without authorization processes order for an item with an insane margin yet refuses to comp shipping despite previous sale. Further proceeds to threaten customer with restocking and return shipping for item they have not officially ordered. WOW…why not comp the shipping, make the sale on an item with more than enough margin to cover and everyone is happy. Should have looked at Unilocal first and seen the potential for complications. Would have liked to have cancelled all transactions on principal alone. LIN’S ORIENTALIMPORTS is the supplier to Haiku and you can probably save quite a bit if you go directly through them. If you doubt my integrity please see my other reviews, I prefer positive or saying nothing at all but this was too far over the top.

I bought two beds online. I was very happy with the first one, natural solid wood, non toxic finish. Quick shipping. Good customer service. I had to let go of my bed when I moved abroad. Few years later I was searching for another bed that was quality, good looking, solid and affordable and I remember the company. I recently got another bed(another model) from them. The quality overall is still pretty good. I was a bit disappointed by the unfinished slats. The wood is good and solid but it was not finished, polished and still rough. I know we don’t see the slats but my father being a carpenter I am used to good quality furniture. It is still a great bed, very solid, and beautiful, smartly designed. I am sure it will last me a very long time. I’m pretty happy with it. The customer service person was wonderful. They send me another pack of screws at no charge for in the process of moving again I lost few. I would definitely buy again from them but being a perfectionist I would call them prior to ask more detailed questions about the product to make sure that this is the model That I want.

After waiting since October for an online order I cancelled in February… I was willing to be patient, as my items were back ordered but after repeated ship dates were missed with no notification I became concerned. When I would call the staff the conform new shipping dates I was met with rude, short fused aggression, and this was the real reason I can canceled my order; A woman in «Customer Service» has some real issues with anger management, I might suggest she try meditation or yoga… In the end karma paid off and I found the same furniture for $ 800 less in California!

We have had the worst experience with Haiku designs: after a very long wait to schedule delivery — longer than they said — we scheduled and the shippers that Haiku uses came and found there was no assembly instructions with the parts. After calling Haiku and trying to get the instructions and after some time, such that the shippers were leaving, the instructions came. We pleaded with the shippers and haiku to get the job done per their responsibility and the shippers left anyway. The shippers couldn’t speak much english my wife sensed a fundamental inability for them to assemble the«very new bed frame» design — «so new it didn’t have instructions», per Haiku. The shippers had ripped our bed cover, put a large king size mattress upside down and left with our new bed frame. The shippers called and asked when they could deliver the bed and my wife said early the next morning to which they laughed and hung up. My wife took off work to over see this and through much frustration, but we can’t do this again and I have lost all trust in Haiku and the shippers to be responsible, Haiku failed to do what they were contracted to do: deliver a bed frame assembled. We sent 2 e-mails and they NEVER responded except when they e-mailed the instructions to build the bed to which they said: «in harmony, Dan» Dan may be in harmony with something, but not with reality or us. Needless to say, I would NEVER reccomend Haiku Designs to anyone!!!

I’m not a fan of down comforters — I hate it when the feathers get everywhere. I’ve always had silk comforters from China — they were thick, heavy and warm but never the right size. I guess at that time people in China didn’t have Queen or King sized beds. Or shared blankets. I wanted a lightweight silk comforter that was warm and the right size. I searched on various sites for silk blankets and found Haiku Designs. I ordered their«Sweet Dreams» Natural Silk Comforter in Queen size, made with Tussah silk. According to their website, «Tussah is denser, more insulating than spun silk, resulting in greater warmth for less bulk. Tussah silk is also less processed without chemicals, chlorine, and manufactured in Germany to European Eco Standards.» It has an organic cotton cover and the silk is made without synthetic dyes or chemicals. I liked that they had free shipping… comforter arrived quickly, was packed well and super light. I was impressed by how thin and warm the blanket was and had a great night’s sleep. It was the best sleep I’ve had in a long time and for an insomniac like me, that’s like finding the holy grail.
