I love this place! They are very friendly and very kind. They decorate the shop really cute and all of their fabric are fantastic! My son was playing their toys the whole time while I was shopping. (You’ll see the cutest handmade toy box) A little tight for stroller but you can push it through. I can’t wait to come back with my mother who already loves their stuff so much :)

What a delight! I’ve been in several times before but thought I’d take a minute out of my day to share with you my thoughts on this very warm and welcoming store that sells the most inspiring fabrics! Linda was hip to my inquiry about Charlie Harper fabrics from Birch and spent a great deal of time chatting us up. It is so refreshing to leave a store feeling you’ve made a friend… It’s that feeling that brings you back again and again. Shops seem to forget we can shop online and not even have to leave our houses anymore but Linda’s warmth and enthusiasm and exquisite taste in hip fabrics and accessories makes me want to drive in a snow storm just to spend a day off buying her very reasonably priced fabric that makes me want to get busy being all crafty!

I LOVE this shop!!! I was a complete beginner sewer, but after taking only three classes — Learn to Sew, Zippered Pouch, and A-Line Skirt, I am confident enough to take on new sewing challenges on my own at home. I love the fabric at Fabricate, it totally inspires me!

I’m a fabric hound who’s worked in fabric stores through the years but when I went in this shop it didn’t have a warm fuzzy feel. It is located off the main Pearl Street drag in a small house. Two doors of entry makes it confusing to figure out which to chose. First off it is not ADA compliant as there is at least 1 – 2 steps up to enter, so it is difficult if not impossible to access if you are in a wheelchair. Secondly, they made NO attempt to assist us and just stood there and apologized for not being ADA compliant. At least try to help your customers access your non-compliant shop. This was a surprise for PC Boulder. They should have an alternate ramp entry somewhere. The fabric selection is limited as they don’t have a lot of shelf space and it is mostly quilting cottons for making accessories. I thought prices were on the higher end of normal($ 12+/yd). I didn’t see much in the way of quilting patterns or supplies, mostly supplies for crafts and bags. Unlike other shops I didn’t see lots of sample quilts hanging, etc. There is a very noisy area in the back for hosting classes and its great they offer them, but it was chaotic in the shop because of it. The owner wasn’t present when I arrived and I found the staff to be pretty cold and unwelcoming with the cashier not moving from her post behind the high counter. I did find some fabric I liked but the feeling I had that I’d interrupt the cashier’s zen moment made me put the fabric back and leave.

Cute fabric store! Very good selection of fabrics, lots of fat quarters and lovely prints! One of the best fabric stores I ve seen. Good attention and amazing decoration. I would definitely come back if I lived in Boulder!

Employees don’t seem to know about fabric. Three of the four teachers I’ve had weren’t teachers and didn’t know how to teach! Frustrated in Broomfield!

We love Fabricate’s classes and camps. My daughter loves their summer camps and is always asking to add more days or weeks. The owner and instructors are very welcoming and the projects are awesome. We have done other sewing classes & camps and Fabricate is our favorite by far.

Fabrics of all sorts. Cute shop. I’m still learning the craft, but this place looks great if you need virgin materials. I just say virgin because I’m really into using old cloth(repurposing). They have a lot of scrap sized pieces up front for your smaller projects or packrat tendencies.

My best friend and I visited this store from California while on a quilt-shop hopping vacation /family visit. After reading the reviews, the word«tiny store» brought to mind a hidden treasure of a place and sure enough that’s exactly what it was! The fabric was rare and not to be found anywhere that we had seen and the store owner was very friendly and helpful. We both agreed that this store was a rare gem — leaving you very pleasantly surprised and creatively inspired.

Small, locally-owned store with Amy Butler and equivalent quality fabrics, including some organics in prints. Found everything I needed. Except, I didn’t buy enough of four kinds of fabric. Called them a few days later and they were able to pull up my order and cut the extra fabric I needed, so i could send my husband in to pick it up. Amazing. LOVETHEM!

I loved the layout of this store. The fabric selection is unique and full if high quality materials. Linda was incredibly helpful. My only regret, that I don’t live in Boulder to shop & take classes here all the time.

I was somewhat disappointed. It’s a TINY store, and my mother has more fabric than they do! I was looking for a specific piece and I should have called ahead, as they didn’t carry it after all.(stupid confusing manufacturer’s web sites.) Metered parking only, if you can find it. One room is set up for sewing and cutting, and they have a small selection of notions and non-quilt, cottage industry produced patterns.(By that I mean NOT Simplicity, McCalls, etc.) I’m a self taught hack who still puts price, color, and variety above fabric brand and quality. If you’re looking for someone to hold your hand while you navigate the complexities of the sewing world, this is probably a fantastic place to visit.(you might want to bring your own fabric, though!)

I love this store! The owners and staff are so genuine, friendly and helpful, especially to a novice sewer like myself. I find the fabric selections here to be particularly unique and interesting and if I was more talented with the needle and thread I would make so many things! But that’s where there classes come in! They have so many interesting offerings from skirt-making to quilt-making to pillow-making to just basically getting to know your sewing machine. So many chances to make! Stores like Fabricate are what make downtown Boulder interesting and unique!

An upbeat, eclectic fabric experience! Linda was sweet & helpful. Her fabrics are some of the most unusual I’ve seen, very high in quality, organic, etc.

Fabricate just opened in Boulder! I am so very excited to take their classes, and learn more about sewing! The fabric that they stock is beautiful and chic and if they don’t have the fabric you want in stock, they will special order for you! Great JOB Corey and Linda!
