The woman in this store has been VERY rude to me twice, so I will not be returning despite their beautiful collection.

My partner and I were accused of shoplifting at Crystal Galleries after another patron left his purchase(a silver box) in the store. We paid for our merchandise and exited the store like any other patron would after completing a purchase. We began conversing with passerby’s on Pearl Street; since it was the Fourth of July and everyone was in a festive mood. Several minutes had went by when a clerk from Crystal Galleries interrupted the festive ambiance with accusations of shopping lifting a patron’s silver box. The clerk, an old man with long white hair, grabbed my partners store bag and began searching for a silver box to which he found none. When I inquired to the aggressive behavior the male clerk merely state, «I’m seeing if you didn’t take something that wasn’t yours.» At that moment an older New Jersey female clerk came out of the store and handed a silver box to the WHITE patron whom had left it on the counter. When I again inquired to the man’s actions he mumbled something under his breath and proceeded back to the shop. Mind you these accusations all occurred 25 feet outside the shop’s entrance to two minorities whom did NOT shoplift and had in fact just made a purchase from Crystal Galleries. Perhaps if this shop paid more attention to their own actions they would not have allowed a patron to exit the store without his(silver box) purchase. Instead they focused on a stereotype that clearly highlights their ignorance and complete disregard to treat patrons fairly; especially on the day of our country’s independence. The male clerk made a highly offensive accusation and never apologized nor seemed remorseful for his bigotry action. If you are a minority(black, brown, gay, etc.) I recommend avoiding this establishment unless you want to experience the same discrimination.

TERRIBLESERVICE!!! We walked in there and everything is very, very, very expensive. Just a plain old cabachon, the cheapest item is $ 8.00. $ 8.00! What a rip off! While we were browsing, the clerks were shooting us dirty looks. The store is small and has a terrible selection. When we decided that everything was too expenisive, the clerks were laughing at us. DONOTGOHERE!!!

I’m a rock person, so this place is tops on my list. They have a great assortment of minerals and gemstones, and the owners are helpful and informed. I’ve even taken in some of my collection and they’ve helped me identify what I’ve got. Most of the stuff is WAY out of my price range, but it’s quality stuff so that’s understandable. I just wish they had a better choice of more affordable stuff. I’ve been very happy with the pieces I have purchased, and recommend them to anyone looking for quality crystals.

Some beautiful pieces, but over-priced to make things look better when he gives you a discount. Owner is helpful if he things you’e ready to spend big bucks on the spot

Incomparable collection of crystals, fossils, and other earthly delights. Pricey, but ultimately worth it. So lovely just to go in and look at everything here. Owners are pleasant and helpful.
