I started taking classes here on a whim, and it quickly became an obsession. I did the progressive series, all through level 3, until my schedule got in the way and I had to take time off. I also did other classes, like aerial fitness, sexy bunny, along with some workshops, and I performed in a few showcases. One thing that I think sets this studio apart is the owner’s desire to teach students proper, technical approaches to pole dancing to limit injury. In a sport where injury is common, this is extremely important. However, the studio is still a fun place to be, and extremely supportive.

I love this studio and love this studio owner Sasha even more! This place is empowered, sexy, and fun. The dancers and teachers are so strong, confidant, and amazing. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to test their strength, endurance, and gain more confidence in their body to join Boulder Spirals. Dance, play, and keep up the awesome work at this studio!

I have had many wonderful experiences at BoulderSpirals. I’d tried pole fitness before, so I knew it would be a good time. The studio has 7 poles, which is plenty for their class sizes, and all of them can be set to spin. The instructors go through rigorous training, which makes the teaching very consistent. The focus is on technique, safety and building strength. There’s plenty of fun moves to learn, too, but they’ll never push you harder than your body can handle. They also offer non-pole classes, such as GoGo, hip hop, aerial yoga and The Gauntlet(a totally awesome High Intensity Interval Training workout). Their instructors are so welcoming and completely devoted to their students. They were so helpful when I pulled a muscle — 2 different teachers worked with me outside of class to make sure that I healed properly and protected myself from injury in the future. It’s a great community of caring, non-judgmental folks who love mixing a little sexy into their dance and fitness. I highly recommend giving it a try!

I don’t have enough good things to say about this friendly, accessible pole studio that welcomes women at all levels and body types. I go religiously twice a week, and hope that they soon add some more evening and weekend classes so that I can go more often. Boulder Spirals(formerly DollHouse) has two instructors/co-owners, Melanie and Sasha, who both bring something unique to the table — I love taking classes with both of them. Pole dance is somewhere between a sport and a dance form, and as someone who has always considered myself quite un-athletic, I’ve been amazed at what the teachers have gotten me doing.(For the uninitiated, pole dance today bears little resemblence to what you might imagine from the strip club world — there is no nudity and no raunch involved). Classes are technique focused and my strength and form is improving with every class. I’ve only been studying at this studio for about a month and see huge improvements — I can’t wait to see what I can do over the next year!
