We couldn’t connect to the wi-fi. Otherwise the venue was good. Not a good choice for tech events.

I held a media event at Agora at the Riverside last night for 65 people and it was amazing. The space has tons of natural light, is beautiful and clean. The food was delicious and plentiful — they use Spice of Life as their catering company — and there were plenty of drinks available. More than that, it was SOEASY. There’s an event manager on site(Sara Stillings), and the staff does everything, from set up to break down. All I had to do was select the menu, which was fun because I got to do a tasting, do a walk through and tell Sara where I wanted things. I considered holding the event, which was a work thing, at a variety of downtown restaurants and venues, but Agora was the most affordable and the least hassle and the most beautiful. I would definitely hold a future event there and highly recommend it. The best part was simply thanking the staff and saying goodbye at the end of the night knowing all the attendants had a great time and that I didn’t have to deal with putting stuff away/cleaning up.

This building is beautiful! Such amazing natural light and wonderful high ceilings. I had my ladies night party here and it was a hit. Everyone had a great time and wanted to know who to talk to to rent out the place for thier party. I would highly recommend the the riverside to have your party or event.

We had a our holiday party at Agora. It was absolutely spectacular. The food was over the top delicious and the space was beautiful. Everyone who attended came up to me and told me how much they loved the entire experience. And the event coordinator was so easy to work with and helped us every step of the way. I not only recommend it, but am also planning a full-day event for this coming spring here. Loved it!

What a wonderful surprise last evening was. We went to Agora specifically to hear Hazel Miller. But we were treated to an excellent meal – starting with a nicely seasoned Bibb lettuce salad with bacon and blue cheese – simple but delicious. I adore polenta and this was perfection – creamy with small parmesan crisps to give it some texture. The polenta came with grilled shrimp – cooked just right. My husband enjoyed his tournedos and the waiter made sure there were no mushrooms on the plate. Our waiter was attentive and very helpful throughout the evening. The dessert crêpe filled with pears with a blueberry compote on the side was to die for – one order nicely split on 2 plates. The room was lively, not overpowered by the live music, and comfortable enough to have a reasonable conversation. Although my martini was yummy, the wine list needs a lot of work. We would definitely return and bring friends. The music – who doesn’t love Hazel Miller?
