I was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of goodies this shop carries. We noticed it while waiting for a table next door at The Coffee Cup and decided to stop in. The shop carries nostalgic candy, bulk candy, ice cream, shakes, chocolates, and candied nuts. The chocolates included barks, truffles, and more. The ice cream is Blue Bunny. We opted for a Birthday Cake Truffle and some of the barks. The truffle was very good and larger than the average truffle. My husband liked the barks. We were most impressed with the price for the taste. Our truffle and three additional pieces from the case came out to around $ 5. Definitely a good value for chocolates.

I love caramel!!! I have never seen it sold in a single serving cup. There is also a little spoon taped to the cup. It was the perfect amount for one or sharing with another. Great idea for us caramel lovers. Yummy!

Mom and I decided to take a trip down memory lane on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. We drove out to our old house in Boulder City and decided to drive around and check out the quaint stores. We came across this cute little store as we were both craving ice cream. They had Blue Bell ice cream(salivating at the thought of that ice cream)! We each had a creamy chocolate cone and explored the store. All kinds of old school candy and various treats! A very busy establishment with day trippers galore! The service was friendly and helpful. There were a couple little tables to sit at but everyone was sitting or stand on outside enjoying the day! If you are out this way, do stop in for a treat or two!

Pretty adorable little place. Reminds me of the stores in St. Augustine, Fl with the old time, handmade candy and apples.

I like this little candy store. The people are friendly and the carmel nut log is my favorite. If you visit Boulder City this is a must

We’ve been enjoying this place since they were in their original location next to the Boulder Theater. What a fun place — soda pop made with real cane sugar, every imaginable type of hand crafted chocolate, caramel, toffee, candy, gifts both edible and not, coffee, ice cream, pop corn. Take some kids or your favorite person over 50 — the whole family will enjoy this place. Friendly — sometimes service is slow because they get very busy — but it’s worth the wait.

This place is cute and has lots of options for ice cream and handmade treats. Only down-side the ice cream isn’t handmade but just a standard dryers. However, the staff and the Ambience are great! Highly recommend it!

We go here often and get milkshakes and walk around BC. I love the local feel of the place and all the handmade treats. We took my daughter in here today and her face lit up when we walked in. We will for sure be back over and over again.

Anyone that knows me can tell you I have one hell of a sweet tooth. So my girlfriends were not the least bit surprised when the first thing I said after eating breakfast was«Let’s go to the candy shop!» Grandma Daisy’s is Boulder City’s candy shop, and people flock here for all sorts of sweets, from candy to malts to retro sodas. Service is friendly, however, it usually feels like the employees are working at a slower pace than I am used to. Many of the sweets are made in house, including huge caramel apples and delicious fudge. Ice cream treats are made with Blue Bunny ice cream. Most items are priced by weight, which is pretty standard for these types of candy stores. Open 7 days a week, no visit to Boulder City is complete without a sugary treat from Grandma Daisy’s!

We bought ice cream and chocolate covered almonds before the Dam Short Film Festival. It wasn’t until I was in the theater that I realized I left my wallet, with seventy dollars in cash. When I returned, the sign that they were closed was illuminated, but the cashier saw me through the window and ran out to return my wallet. Not a cent was missing. Truly the sweetest people on earth work here.

Nom Nom when you are up in boulder and your sweet tooth craving kick’s in this is the spot to go. The elderly gals who work there are pretty nice and helpful. The prices are a bit steep but the place has an old school candy shop feel, if only it had the prices: P. Anywho they have some olé retro candy which is pretty awesome, I usually hit it up for my caramel apple fix. I prefer Rocky mountain chocolate factory for my sweet treat apple fix but this place will do.

It’s rare when I crave sweets because I’m not much of a sweetooth but we were in Boulder City and my mom and sister wanted something sweet so I decided to have something too. Grandma Daisys makes sweets in house and has packaged candies and older favorites as well. They serve blue bunny ice cream too perfect on a hot summer day! The display case is full of hand made treats and sweets galore! Nut clusters dipped in chocolate, truffles, chocolate covered bacon & potato chips all sold by weight. Plenty of other choices too if bacon and chips covered in chocolate isn’t your thing. I’m not much of a chocolate person and don’t really eat candy. I went with a white chocolate turtle thy has some of their homemade caramel on it. Caramel also sold in cups. The table in the back was full of caramel apples which we picked up as well. We got a Heath dipped Apple which was way too sweet for me. Next time we’ll just get one filled in nuts which will be a better choice imo. If you’re craving something’s sweet you’ve come to the right place.

Sweet treats galore! Everything from ice cream and handmade truffles to chocolate-covered potato chips and fudge, with a considerable candy selection as well. Staff is friendly, pricing is fair for the quality, and the location is larger than expected. Truffles are a good choice: high quality and large pieces with good flavors. The White Wedding and the Sudae Rush are mine and BF’s favorites, respectively. Chocolate-covered potato chips are not a good option: thick chocolate overpowers the chip so completely that you can’t taste anything but chocolate and the chip itself has nearly a soggy texture. Would come by for dessert after breakfast at the Coffee Cup next door!

After our wonderful meal at the Coffee Cup next door, I was craving something sweet, and there was Grandma Daisy and that fabulous PINKSPOTTEDCOW outside, telling me to come inside for a treat! Lol. As I was walking through the door, I was hoping for a sweet smell, but it was the opposite of sweet =(. I don’t know if they were having sewage problems, but a Bakery should not smell like that! Besides the smell, the young lady who was helping us just didn’t seem interested in helping. She did not smile, but just asked if we were ready. I finally decided to settle for a milkshake. I decided to get a Coffee Ice cream milkshake. That definitely hit the spot, so I was happy with my shake! I hope the next time will be better though! =)

Get the Boulder Bark. And get more than one piece! That’s all you need to know. White chocolate, creamy peanut butter, mini marshmallows, and rice krispies! When I took my first bite, I was expecting it to be heavy in texture because of the peanut butter, but it was amazingly light! It was just right blend of sweetness and salt to it too. Grandma Daisy told me it’s their best selling item people come back for more after they try it. I hesitated and only bought one piece of Boulder Bark, should have bought two though. Because once I took a bite of the one I got Mr. B. I said dang it I listened to Grandma D. So now whenever we are in Boulder City, this is a must. We also pick up their custom dipped caramel apples too. The bottom two rows of confections are made in house. They also sell packaged nostalgic candy, rock candy, candy by weight. Blue Bunny ice cream. It’s a busy sweet shop!

We stumbled upon this place while in town for Art in the Park. Outside they have a awesome pink cow and a sign for fudge. I have been on the hunt for good peanut butter fudge for quite some time so I of course had to stop and check this place out. When you walk in you get the old fashion soda shop feel. They have quite a large selection of hard candies and novelty items if you walk around the store. Its a good size. They also have many items behind the counter . I will saw they were probably busier then usual due to so many people being in town but the service was not all that friendly. We weren’t greeted when we came in and I had a hard time getting someone to help us. Once we did get help I made my selections from the display case. We tried the Salted Maple Bacon Caramel, , a Candy Apple Caramel piece. I may have the names wrong but basically they were flavored Caramel squares… both of which had a very strong«burnt» flavor yet definitely tasted home made. The peanut butter fudge was delicious and I will definitely be back for more of that. The real highlight of the whole place though was the piece of bacon dipped in chocolate that I got. It was very well cooked and tasted delicious. Prices seemed quite reasonable for the type of shop but the service could be improved. I prefer to be greeted when I walk in a place and I don’t like to wave down folks to order from the candy display but overall its worth checking out. I advise anyone visiting Boulder City to stop by Grandma Daisys

Candy shops and me have a great relationship. I love candy of all sorts from home made, to Hershey’s, to candy necklaces etc. My favorite fruity candy is Nerds, and my favorite chocolate is a Heath bar. So a few months back while having breakfast next door at the Coffee Cup, I wandered in this old fashion style candy store to find out they have Heath bar carmel apples. That they freshly dip in house. SAYWHAT??? I was stuffed from breakfast so I ordered my apple to-go. We also enjoyed a classic malt, and some chocolate dipped strawberries. The selection is not HUGE, but the variety is decent for a hole in wall candy shop in Boulder City. Other than the apples, the prices are great. The apples are $ 5 – 8 depending on your toppings. But let me tell you they are worth every penny. I literally crave this when I have a sweet tooth. I am sure the other choices are great too but I am so addicted to my heath apple I have yet to try another. The ladies working are always sweet and answer any questions I may have. You could easily make a day of breakfast, the candy shop, the antique store, and the beautiful Boulder City scenery. Don’t pass up on this hidden gem, especially if you want sweets!
