I loved Amy’s Bakery! Unfortunately, she closed her store in the Mill Creek Town Center. I miss the apple cinnamon bread, which is beyond delicious!

Amy suggested I return for her new and improved cinnimon rolls. I’m sold — great rework on that product. Tastes great. Recommended. Still I really don’t understand why some many people are in the town center area of Mill Creek at 2:00PM on a regular Weds. afternoon? For me-I’m on my way to work. Could it be lots of unemployed folks? Strange.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Amy’s Bakery in Mill Creek Town Center and I will likely not waste my money on giving it a second chance. My mom and I like to go for coffee and a pastry when she comes to town. Instead of the same ol’ same ol’ Starbucks, I thought I’d shake things up a bit and try a place that was new to both of us. Granted, it was a little late to be visiting a bakery at 4:45 pm, but the place closes at 6 o’clock and all the staff could do was talk about going home, and they had already started to close up shop. Java: I ordered an Americano, which had decent flavor but like most Americanos, was way too hot to drink. I asked for an ice cube. «We are all out…» she said. I thought she was joking. She wasn’t. Mom ordered a cup of coffee. I didn’t taste it, but she said it had been sitting around way too long. Hmpf. Pastries: My espresso brownie was awful. It was clearly WELL over a day old, and the frosting that was supposed to be creamy was dry and cracked, and once bitten into, had even started to change color. The brownie part was mediocre and dry at best. Mom had the chocolate chip scone and thought it was pretty good. Service: Friendly, yet talked nonstop amongst each other about going home. Did not ask how things were, and did not comment when they saw my brownie was left with 2/3’s of it untouched. All in all, a disappointing experience, earning 2 stars only because the scone was decent, the coffee had potential and the seating area was clean.

My husband and I love Amy’s breads, raspberry rolls and cinnamon rolls. We haven’t been able to sample the deli sandwiches yet, but look forward to it in the future. Amy currently holds the world’s record for the largest cinnamon roll(as the previous head baker for House of Bread, which was the former name of this establishment). Mill Creek has a real gem here.

Ok, so i have to admit i have VERY little experience with this bakery. I work in the town center(that’s where this bakery is), and ordered a heart-shaped valentine’s cake. It was DELICIOUS. moist, chocolatey, i was impressed. i’d say if you’re in the area you should definitely stop in.
