Wing Maru

Absolutely Delicious! they used to have this amazing chicken sub on the menu but sadly it was taken off, but other than that their wings are so delicious. Sweet and Spicy and the chicken is good quality. The sides are also interesting, other than the boring French fries you can get anywhere else, they have crab and corn croquettes and dumplings to go with your meal.

The one employee dude was really nice but the wings here suck. Nothing like bonchon or crave. Wings are way too saucy/​soggy and more akin to Pizza Hut wings.

Flavor wise, chicken is good, but 10 nuggets, a side, and garlic bread for $ 13? Not worth it. Lower the price or give me a bigger side or more nuggets/​wings.

So if you want to grab some Korean fried chicken, this would be the place. The owner is real nice. I’d visit there anytime. :)

So you want some Korean chicken and the only options are a chain restaurant that over packages your food like a goddamn iPhone and takes 45 minutes, or some other place which has had a Now Open sign hanging out front for a year.
Here’s a new spot.
Onion Rings are ¹⁰⁄₁₀ Breaded with panko or something similar, not the soggy beer batter kind you expect from a local pizza place. The guy also knows how to package the food correctly, leaving the top of the onion ring box open so they don’t steam themselves into a soggy mess.
Boneless wings resemble more of a Korean breaded nugget of white meat. No fatty mystery meat.
Sweet and Spicy isn’t very spicy. Ask for it extra spicy if you like it as hot as other local Korean chicken places… wink wink. Probably have to do a little convincing to the owner that you’re legit and can handle some extra gochujang mixed in. Maybe reference a few places or foods you’ve eaten. I didn’t know a nice way to say «I know I’m white, but I can handle authentically spicy Korean food, I promise.»

My first experience at Wing Maru was fantastic! Service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious, and we were beyond stuffed for like $ 8/​person. Skip the line at Bön Chon and come give Wing Maru a try.

Ten wings and a side is definitely enough for dinner for two! We got the sweet & spicy wings and they were fab. The service was great and fast, too.
