If you want fast food but you also want to eat healthy, this is your place. We had the fire grilled chicken plate with broccoli and black beans. The chicken was great. Pounded, moist, spiced well. We tried the balsamic and the spicy Thai which were both great. The steamed broccoli wasn’t mushy and the black beans were also good.

The Fries are awesome… that’s about it. I had a $ 2 off coupon and was still hi-jacked…it hardly seemed worth it. to be eating«healthy». B Good does a much better job… for better pricing, too.

Initial thoughts to begin this review: «I’m sorry, I’m just not a huge fan.» I came here with my buddy who really wanted to try UFood Grill after living in the area for several years and about to move to NYC. I am a guy who cannot say no to a new restaurant, so I was there! Hailing from Cape Cod, I am always down for fish(but, I must say, my favorite is a fish sandwich. Haters are going to hate!) With that being said, I opted for a fish sandwich and french fries. And, guys, I wasn’t a huge fan… perhaps it was cooked for too long, maybe it was the awkward/rude vibe the guys there gave off, or maybe it was the fries which I just did not love… I just wasn’t feeling it. I think, and I will be the first to admit this, I need to give this place one more — and only one more — try… so be on the lookout for my followup!

Been here many times and it’s great! Big fan of their burgers(Fries are amazing!) Soups are good too! Also like their shakes good for pre workouts! Glad to see a lot of these popping up around Boston as they’re a great alternative to fast food! Need to try the ice cream asap!

I love – simply love – the spicy falafel sandwich. It is fantastic. Everything else is a disappointment. The veggie burger tasted like it was made out of tires. The smoothies are terrible – either too sweet or taste like nothing on earth. The sides like brown rice and broccoli(how can anyone screw this up?) taste like cardboard. The only thing I get when I go in there is the spicy falafel sandwich. Such a pity. This place has potential.

I really wish we had these in the DC area. Tried UFood for lunch one day during a visit to Boston and was instantly a fan. This isn’t greenwashed health food — everything I saw on the menu was legitimately healthful — even the fries are baked instead of deep-fried! Genius! I had the thai chili grilled chicken with fries and a side salad. I was also impressed that the side salad had actual veggies in it and was not just some lettuce with a tomato plopped on top. Everything was very yummy! I also tried the froyo stand in UFood. While I prefer the froyo places where you make your own mix and get weighed by the ounce, the taste of the froyo here was definitely good, though a bit pricey and boring by comparison. Definitely try this place out if you want a truly healthful option at fast food prices. Don’t expect a lot of bells and whistles or stellar service though, it’s still essentially a fast food joint.

As far as ideas go, UFood has a really great concept — legitimately healthy fast-food options. That’s something I can get into. And after trying both their bison burger w/sweet potatoes and a caprese-style chicken sandwich, I think it’s fair to say that UFood is a solid health-conscious joint. Admittedly both of the meals I’ve tried are what I’d call«amazing», but amazing, low-cal, and healthy are rarely ever used in the same sentence. Ufood does an admirable job at trying to focus their image around these three concepts. Bottom line: If you’re looking to eat out, but eat healthy, UFood is a good-to-great option. However, if you’re looking for top-of-the-line, write-home-about food, try the North End.

This is a fast food joint. It therefore makes sense to review it in context of other local fast food joints– and when you compare it with those, it’s fantastic. The quality of the food is a notch above even Subway, my normal go-to place for better-quality fast food. I love that all the calories and nutrition information is posted. I also love that you can get a real plate of food(chicken or steak tips, with two sides) for a reasonable price. Every other fast food place I know serves almost exclusively things on buns. The Thai Chili Chicken is a hit, as are the un-fries(baked fries that, in my opinion, taste better than Burger King’s) and the black beans. Portions are satisfying. Sure, not everything is a hit. Some chicken tikki masala bowl I once got was covered in a vinegary tomato topping that I had to take off. The sweet potato mash is acceptable, but not great. Some of the sandwiches(fish comes to mind) are very missable. But hey, once you figure out what’s good, you’ll keep coming back for it.

The burgers here are abysmal – dry and flavorless – but the frozen yogurt is even worse. I got some the other day out of sheer desperation(Berryline was still closed for the holidays, and there was no way I was schlepping all the way to Pinkberry in the freezing cold), and instantly regretted it. Icy with a hint of sawdust, UFood’s tart original is anything but refreshing.

You’ll find me here from time to time, but honestly there is nothing really special about this one. The service tends to be quick enough and friendly enough. And the food is good enough… but I always feel like something is lacking in the food. its supposed to be health food, but I feel like I’m eating at just another fast food joint most of the time. Don’t order the bison burgers, they’re just kind of flat and bad. The turkey and regular can be okay though.

I like the premise of the food here. I like the fries, the burgers, and the rest of the food, EXCEPT, for the love of god, do NOT get the veggie burger. It is revolting. It is so gross it actually looks like a raw slab of something or other and actually kind of reminded me of what spam looks like when it jiggles its way out of the can. But the rest is good.

Excellent, healthy, different fast food. It’s the type of fast food that doesn’t make feel guilty after eating it. Staff is very friendly and the establishment is always neat clean.

I really miss Low Fat –Know Fat… the Mediterranean Veggies and their grilled entrees were way better before they went«corporate» — also, there seems to be a lot of industrial fat-free spray butter happening nowadays. Oh, I also miss the supplement shop they had where I could buy Isopure… This all being said, UFood is a good option for a quality healthy meal that you can see the calorie breakdowns for. I prefer to cook for myself when being healthy, but this is a decent back-up. The chicken snack wraps are the same quality as the ones at McD’s, with a somewhat leaner grilled chicken, and the meat entrees cost around $ 11 each, a far cry from $ 7.99 in Know Fat days. I think they are pushing the high-end fast food agenda too far while not increasing quality of ingredients. For what is offered the prices should be lower. One more gripe… a Mango Smoothie with all the mix-ins(yogurt, mango, milk, ice cream, some other fruit juice) costs around $ 5, but when I ordered skim milk, protein powder, and mangoes they charged me $ 6. Excessive…

Any fast-casual lunch place that shows its calorie count and nutritional info on its menu gets my vote of approval. No guilt here from noshing on my very filling and very figure-friendly Southwestern Chicken U-Bowl with whole grain brown-rice. They bake, grill, steam, never fry. Awesome! They make everything to order, and have low fat and calorie dressings, lean meats, and lower-fat cheeses. For this place, I didnt have to make an assumption of whether the calories in the salads were double the calories in the sandwiches(watch out for those– both ABP’s and Panera ‘s salads come to mind as culprits) …and they’ve got awesome healthy, fruity smoothies that will give you your daily dose of fruit and your sweet indulgence all in one frothy, slurpy cup of goodness. My only request for UFood is the opening of more stores downtown, so I don’t have to travel all the way to Fenway for UFood healthy goodness :) Petitioning for locations in Boston Common area(Emersonians would keep you in business!) Southie, or the Financial District. Hope to see them sprout up in more areas; the waistline– watchers want you!

LOVE the business model. Fast food with a slightly healthy twist. First off, calories are on the menu which as anyone knows who reads my reviews is a HUGE plus for me. Second, they have tons of options and its FAST. Their unfries are good, and dont leave me missing their fried counter parts in the least. I also had their bistro salad with chicken and it was delicious. Décor is adorable, and atmosphere is much nicer than that at a standard fast food joint. My only regret is that this place didnt exist near my college! I would have loved it…

Stopped by here for a bite during my Landmark errands. Tasty, good-sized portion of unfries for $ 1.50 = a great cheap, ‘healthy’ on-the-go snack. I think I like their fries better than b. good’s. WIll come back when I’m in the area and need a bite to eat.

I recently visited this place for the first time at Fenway — I had eaten here a long time ago in the airport, but I feel that is MUCH different than that experience. I have to admit a personal fact: I am a very picky eater. HOWEVER, the food on this menu appeals greatly to me. Also, you can’t beat that the food is «healthier» than your average fast food restaurant. I had a Chicken Pesto Panini, and it was hot and delicious. I didn’t have to wait a long time either for my food to be ready. I think that the Un-Fries are my favorite, and I feel way better about eating these than the the McDonald’s fries. I didn’t get to sample the Fro-yo, but I will definitely next time I am in the area! Overall solid and pretty inexpensive.

This place is right next to the movie theater, with a window that looks right at the stairs that go up to the theater. There was a notice in the window that advertised a free frozen yogurt when you show your movie ticket — nice! When you enter from the sidewalk you have the pass the frozen yogurt counter and head up the stairs to order your hot food. I ordered the cheeseburger meal deal for $ 6.99 which came with fries and a drink. Can I get a milk for my drink? Yes! Sure helps me with my pretending to be healthy. I also got the multigrain bun(vs the sesame bun) and all the toppings. They had real knives available at the condiment counter, along with the napkins, ketchup(Heinz!), mustard, mayo, and some kind of spicy sauce — I didn’t look too close since that’s not my sort of thing. Portions were good, but the cheeseburger(outside of the pickles) was pretty bland. The fries were pretty good despite not being fried. Ask for a punch card — buy 7 meals, get 1 free. They have a short kids menu — Chicken Fingers or Grilled Cheese; comes with unfries and a drink.

I went here for a quick bite before heading off to the night shift, and I was not really impressed. The food looks so yummy on the posters, but the taste was lacking. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, which is probably my favorite thing to eat ever. Blah. The chicken was dry. The blue cheese buffalo sauce was just some orangish sauce that had no spice or flavor and I couldn’t taste the blue cheese. The fries redeemed the meal. They were tasty and light, and I didn’t feel guilty for eating them. But overall nothing too tasty! If I go back, and I’m really not sure I will, I will definitely be trying something else.
