Para desayunos este lugar es excelente. Los huevos rancheros, las gorditas de res y adobada y la pupusa de queso con loroco son excelentes. El café muy bueno también. Alta calidad y bajo precio.

The service is very slow, even when the restaurant is empty. The food is good but most waitresses don’t speak English so you have to order in Spanish. They always get my(customized) vegetarian order correct though which is a plus! Try the homemade jarritos, esp mango flavor or horchata. Don’t get the guac unless you’re willing to add lime/salt to it yourself and order chips on the side bc they don’t come with it. The waitresses will not come check on you while you eat, they don’t even refill your drink so you have to chase them down if you want something

For the price of one meal you get the portion if two meals! Food is fantastic; service is very friendly; and my favorite is the bucket of pickles! P. s. They have cashew juice.

I was searching for Atol de Elote(a warm sweet corn drink), but found the best Queso Fresco!!! I ordered the Tipico Salvadoreno and it came with lots of items, but the queso stood out. The atol hit the spot and the re-fried beans had good flavor. The chicharon was a bit dry but still tasty. Next time I’m in Boston I will visit this place again.

I love the fresh food here. I mean, I’ve gotten burritos and nachos, but man they are delicious. Plus the staff is super friendly. Try it out!

As a Salvadoran American I truly love this place! They have $ 1 pupusas(traditional food) on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which makes it a delicious deal! The burritos here are also great, its what I usually order. They’re very tasty, filling, and full of flavors. They give you a choice of salad or fries and hot sauce on the side. The staff is also very friendly. The girls are attentive while dining in. You can’t go wrong at this place. Very affordable for East Boston. It’s definitely a restaurant to visit while in town if you’re looking for authentic Salvadoran cuisine.

Walked over here from my hotel and was planning to go to the taqueria next door but they’re closed on Tuesdays(?!?). Reviews for this place were pretty good so I gave it a go. Went for the mixed pollo plate and a mango milkshake and don’t regret it. I could eat fried plantains all day long. Probably not the healthiest meal I had all week but I was in the mood to see what Salvadorian food was all about. I could be persuaded to knock off a star for having two TVs(showing different shows) and a radio going all at the same time.

First of all, this is SALVADOREAN, not Mexican. Big different folks! The fish soup and pupusas are one of the best in Eastie, as well as the curtido accompaniment. $ 1pupusas on Thursdays. I also had an awesome broiled tilapia with ridiculous portion of rice, beans, salad; and think traditional homemade Salvadoran tortillas… I made myself sick gorging. Order the papaya shake with water with it.

Pretty good pupusas… ordered one bean and cheese and one Chicharron Salvadoreno. They were super cheap($ 1.50 each) and came with an entire tupperware full of curtido(self service i guess)… and we ordered a side of crema. Also we weren’t super hungry — def. order more than that when you go. After we ordered we were given chips and salsa while we waited — which i thought was above and beyond since we really didn’t order very much food. We asked if they would deliver to boston and the short answer was yes… but the long answer was complicated(no)… so i guess we’ll just have to save our Sivar cravings for east boston trip days. Cute place. I’d go back — but nothing to add to the«crave» list.

Very cheap, delicious Mexican/Salvadorean food here. Service is great, they really want to make sure you enjoyed the food. They also serve cole slaw at each table is a big tub, so you can help yourself, it was excellent! I’ll be back for sure.
