Sit down. Order drinks. Wait twenty minutes. Get the 2 waters and a beer. Order food.
–get food. Ordered no mayo on sandwich. sandwich has mayo. Sent back. Sandwich comes back. Sandwich has no condiments whatsoever now. Give up. go to bartender to get avocado purée. Comes 10 minutes later.
Biggest disappointment ever.
I’ve dined at parish a couple times before with hardly a problem, something has gone array and unfortunately, I won’t be going back.
2 stars for the drink list and the marination on the veal.
Oh and the other dish we received. The meatball sandwich. Much much to spicy.

Tasty, unpretentious Back Bay café — Parish is like a house party with good friends — low-​key, good eats. Reasonably priced sandwiches and excellent brew selection. Loved my tuna nicoise — generous slab of nicely seared tuna, crisp french beans, tasty kalamata on fresh green — A+. Bartender recomended Kona Big Wave Ale ($ 6), medium-​bodied, balanced and smooth.

We ate here on New Year’s Eve a little after 7. It wasn’t too long of a wait given the holiday. Our server, Kahla, was amazing. She was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. It also was pretty cool to find her because she & I went to college together! It was a small world running into her.
We got their onion rings for an app and they were delicious. They’re beer battered but aren’t too heavy. Also, what’s nice is the onions themselves have a bite to them so it’s not like you take one bite and take the whole onion with you.
I had a Mexican Meatball sub for dinner. The meatball and bread were amazing but what tied it all together was the au jus they had on the side. I know there was jalapenos in it, and it was the perfect amount of heat.
I would go here again.

We were sat down, and pretty instantly asked what we wanted to drink. We were both looking at the specials board (which has food and drink on it) so we said we would need another minute. 10 minutes pass and no one comes back so I start to stare at every staff member that walks by. The first person who came over put down napkins, which I assume is their signal to one another that a table is being helped, as when I made eye contact a few times they looked at the napkins and kept walking.
5 more minutes pass before a new server comes over to apologize for the wait and say it’s because it’s a shift change. If that was the case, they need a better system. We order two beers, two waters, onion rings and two sandwiches. A standard amount of time goes by and the onion rings come out but what happened to our beers? At this point I’m staring at our server again who comes back with our water and says’ that there is a problem at the bar but our beers are coming. We saw other people getting beer (both at the bar and at their tables), so what was the problem? Did she forget to put them in? If she did, say it, everyone makes mistakes.
We got our beers when we were half way done with the onion rings. The onion rings needed salt, but the sauce was good.
The Nebo (my sandwich) was HUGE and good but there was too much bread. My friend said the same about his Rialto. Neither of us liked our sides (mine was bland tomato and green beans, his was whole sun dried tomatoes and greens).
We got another beer because we did not feel like going to another place and the server seemed confsued that we did not just want to pay and leave.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen (hauptsächlich viele verschiedene Baguettes), dass dazu kommen rund um 15 verschiedene Biere, die immer am Fass sind! Der Preis ist knackig, 8 $ für ein Bier, aber das liegt wohl eher an US Großstadt. Mir persönlich war das Publikum zu schicki-​micki, dass deshalb keine 5 Sterne.

Cute concept, innovative sandwiches, and friendly service. Came here for dinner with a friend and had a good time.
I had the Coppa, featuring a fatty pork belly on a sesame seed bun with melted cheese. The sandwich was good, but the description was better. I could have used more flavor and zest. They added jalapeño peppers to give it a kick, but it didn’t add much: would’ve loved some type of sauce on it over the cheese. Both the coleslaw and potato salad side options were great. No death by mayonnaise here! All in all, a fine experience, but nothing worth dreaming about.
