Went here for lunch and got the burger — the bun was way too big for the patty but other than that it was pretty decent, nothing too special. Fries were crispy. Our waiter was friendly but the service was quite slow, especially during lunch when people need to get back to work.

I should have gone to the Mission more often when I lived in Mission Hill. Compared to the other restaurants in Brigham Circle, the Mission is pretty much fine dining. Everywhere else is overrun with college students(not always in a bad way), but the Mission definitely caters to the young professional+ crowd. During my most recent, my steak was delicious, the service was prompt, and the overall experience was just so positive. I love that they have the Southern Tier Pumking beer year-round. My favorite!($ 8 and 9% alcohol, hard to beat that!) They also have trivia and brunch which should not be missed! Pet peeve: It bothers me that the bathroom stall in the men’s room has had a broken lock for months. Just buy a $ 2 slide lock at Home Depot. There’s really no excuse.

Ok food. A nice soup/salad/sandwich lunch special. But each time I have gone here I feel like I am inconveniencing the staff. Asking for a table seems to be sigh/worthy. Asking for the actual food you order instead of what they bring you, a chore. Getting someone to take your payment, just ornerous. Close to giving up folks. There are simply too many good options to be treated rudely every time.

You are paying for quality at this place. People complain about the price but you get a healthy serving of quality food. Burgers and steak tips are always a good time here.

Came here for lunch and ordered the Chopped Salad which was supposed to have ‘grilled’ chicken. The salad had ‘boiled’ chicken on it. I was disgusted and sent it back.

Tasty char burger, and the stuff on tap is really nice. Loved the Down-east Cider House cider!

I lived in Mission hill for 8 years and this was my go to spot and now I miss it dearly :( They have amazing brunch! My friends and I would go here and hang out for hours, the waitresses are so nice and accommodated along with the bartenders. Pretty much anything we ordered we enjoyed. Also went for lunch and dinner from time to time and that was also really delicious. The steak tips are so good definitely worth a try if you like them, really good price as well.

Had lunch with six people and everybody LOVED everything ordered! I’m not sure why this place has only 3.5 stars? Absolutely delicious food for great prices!

Great place in my neighborhood. Half bar, half restaurant(wish it was more restaurant with more seating), but great after work(although Thursdays and Fridays can get super crowded and loud, hard to have dinner sometimes). The food is excellent. I’ve never had a bad meal here and have eaten here 20+ times easily. The service is always excellent. The fish and chips are excellent! I’d go there just for that. I hope they bring the bolognese back for fall as it was excellent. The clam chowder is very good(not quite«Maine good», but very good). Lots of good options. I think the prices are fine for what you get. If you haven’t been and are anywhere nearby, go!

This restaurant in Mission Hill is one of the best. I love the special cider they have. A must to try are the lamb burger and the veggie burger, both totally worth it. The staff is also very nice and friendly.

It is a little bit pricier than other bars nearby; however, I think its atmosphere and the quality of the food deserve it. One of the my favorite parts of this place is the open seating area. It’s nice to observe the streets of Tremont/Huntington facing Brigham and Women’s Hospital. There are students and healthcare providers passing by all the time. Noise level is perfect. I don’t have to scream to be heard. This place is very chill; nice place to meet friends to catch up. Their nachos are good. Last time I went, I wasn’t planning to eat. All I wanted was beer, but seeing the couple next to me eating those nachos, my friend and I ended up ordering nachos. No regrets hahaaa. We devoured that in minutes.

Great place for dinner. In terms of food, the options for dinner are cheap for Boston($ 17-$ 20 for entrees). I ordered the Seafood Diavolo($ 20) which came with plenty of flavor, a boatload of seafood and oodles of noodles. In terms of the environment, it’s dark with lots of dim candlelight. I’d imagine this is decent for a date night. It was a bit hard to talk over the noise. Overall I’d recommend it for dinner.

Came for drinks on a Friday night, and this place did the trick. Good list of draught beers(though nothing TOO special), with option for a flight for $ 8-$ 12 depending on your selection. Had a beer that was really great that I hadn’t seen in a long time, Abita’s Purple Haze — highly recommend! Not too loud, not too dark, but also not especially charming. Food seemed expensive but I didn’t try it. If you’re in Brigham Circle on a Friday night, this is a good place to go when Penguin is too crowded, Flann’s is a little bit too sketchy, and Pig is too loud.

Everything I’ve ordered here has been very good. Nothing that necessarily stands out but it’s a short walk from my apartment and it’s reasonably priced for a date night or a close-by brunch option. I love their salmon entrée but they could do a better job grilling the burgers. I’ve gone more than a couple times and I’ll be back again soon!

I came here for Sunday brunch. As a vegetarian, there were actually quite a few options. Food: I decided to go with the Vegetarian Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was mediocre; it was a little too tangy, thus slightly overpowering the eggs. However, I did find the orange slice to be a plus, as the sweetness complemented the dish well. The home fries were also good, but there were more onions than potatoes, and I am not a huge fan of onions. Staff: Hostess and waitstaff were all very quick and efficient! I will definitely have to swing by for dinner and drinks!

Let’s say you’re trying to have a baby, and the nice folks at the hospital give you something to «move things along.» «Come back in a couple hours,» they say, «but don’t go too far.» And you’re hungry. Where do you go? Answer: The Mission. We were definitely not the first couple they’d seen, with a visibly humongously pregnant woman scarfing down an absolutely delicious burger. Wait staff were very nice and accommodating. I’m sure it gets absolutely packed post-work, but on a Saturday afternoon, it was just the right amount of busy(not so empty that it looks sketchy, not so full that you can’t get seated immediately). A very good addition to the Longwood Medical Area food scene.

Went for lunch with my best friend and two small children. The wait at lunch time was a bit long and we had to abandon our stroller at the front of the establishment. Host was very friendly, waitress was attentive and quick. Food was excellent and fresh, although the chicken on top of the tex mex salad was extremely salty.

Why was my shrimp linguine crunchy like there was sand in it? Also, the bad parts of the tomato were used(the parts where it is yellow/orange in the middle-ish part). The nachos were good but not deserving of the rave reviews on foursquare. The salsa was too chunky to be just in one pile on the plate. Service was surprisingly okay. She did put dirty things on our table while she was cleaning another table… but was attentive.

Definitely a classier joint in the Mission Hill, and one of the only places that isn’t super casual or primarily take out. Only three stars, because the menu is pretty standard(burgers, chicken caesar, steak tips, etc etc). I should really give 3.5 because they seem to have a fun cocktail menu and some good beers on tap, but generally this place is just a very typical bar/grill.
