Very unique to find a specialty cheese shop outside of Boston… the ones in the North End couldn’t hold a candle to this place. It is very expensive to buy cheese but it is very high end. The day we went they had wine sampling!

Stopped in during my study break from Starbucks. From the outside one wouldn’t think to find amazing sandwiches, but The Cheese Shop put’s together arguably the best meatball sub in the North End. I was unsure what to order at first and the girl behind the counter recommended the meatball sub — as the meatballs were freshly made. Not only was this sub at least a footlong, the service was impeccable. After hearing how cold it was in Starbucks, the woman who served me offered a spot inside to study– with free wireless and even said she’d put a pot of coffee on(for free!). Definitely a place to think about when hungry in the North End.

I had surgery just over a week ago… for my «last supper»(min 2 weeks of soft foods) I really wanted a steak from Ruth’s Chris. Unfortunately I had a lot going on and had to go with my number 2– a hurricane from he Cheese Shop and once again, not disappointed.

I was starving on our way to Paul Revere’s house, but my husband wasn’t. I ducked in here to get a snack and walked into a food tour, which happened to be in the shop. I believe it was the owner I talked to, and he was super-nice — very concerned I get what I was looking for. He also helped me with other restaurants in the area, giving his recommendations. I got a little slab of some sort of delicious yumminess — all I know is it wasn’t swiss cheese. He also sold me some mini rosemary Croccantini crackers, and threw in a packaged dessert, which my husband enjoyed. None of it was cheap(except the free dessert), but all of it was delicious and very satisfying. What a great place to visit in the North End!
