I always use the drop off service($ 1/lb of laundry) — it’s same day, they don’t dry my delicates(which I put in a small mesh bag), and it’s only about $ 15/week for both me and my partner(who wears like two outfits a day). They’re cash only and very friendly.

Clean and friendly. Not sure why, but the Sci-Fi channel seems to always be on when I go there. I find this funny.

By far the best place to wash your clothes in Eastie. This place is kept clean! The people are nice and efficient. If you don’t want to wash your clothes, they will take care of the for you, all you have to do is drop them off and find out when to pick them up. It can be a little crowded, especially on the weekends, but it’s my go to place. I chose to go to Swish N Swash instead of using my apartment washer and dryers.

Estoy muy indignado por que vine a lavar y la muchacha a cargo medijo que no podía lavar por que cerrarían alas 6:00pm cuando ellos no avisaron con anticipación

I hate doing laundry and East Boston laundries can be torturous affairs to add insult to the injury. Dirty, crowded, hot … unpleasant and not how I want to spend my time. When I first moved here I would go to the one on Sumner Street. It was when a four year old came running up to me and asked me if I was his father(in Spanish… good thing I took it in High School) that I decided I should look around for another laundramat. The next time I had laundry to do I decided to walk further up Maverick Street to the Swish n’Swash. Sure, it killed my back, but I was desperate. I walked in and the place was clean, climate controlled and with available washers and dryers. Fortunately though, it didn’t come to that — I discovered they had drop-off service. Oh, sweet! They were apologies that they couldn’t get it done in 3 hours, but would I come back in 4? Four hours? That’s it? My laundry came back perfectly folded, smelling great and there were even elastics around my socks! One other time I washed a 20, they found it and taped it to my laundry bag. Two things keep it from getting five stars: First, over the say 200 loads I’ve dropped off over the years, a sweat shirt got splashed with bleach(they are not responsible for damaged articles I guess). Still, given how many times everything was perfect, it’s no biggie. In everyone’s life a little bleach must fall. Second, the drop off service has gotten pretty expensive so now rather than doing it all the time, I have to make that an occasional luxury. But whenever I am short on time and tall on cash, they have my business.
