Read the great reviews so I went in for a cut and blow-​dry with Liana, who was wonderful. She took the time to consult with me beforehand and gave me the exact cut I wanted. I left happy and feeling great. In addition, this is a very professionally run salon, I felt comfortable immediately, which is important. Nice job. I will be back!

My hair dresser moved away so I needed to find a last minute go to. Luckily, this salon is at a convenient location. I scheduled a late appointment and Lauren was still able to fit me right in. I hated my hair which was a ridiculous faded caramel color (sounds better than it looks, trust me). Lauren took the time to discuss all my options and was able to fit all my needs without having to give me the «.well if you want that look then you need to do this» talk. You know when you want something so bad but have to sacrifice something in order to get it? No? Well you don’t need to because this place is awesome and they just get you. If you want a place that is super-​friendly, chic and affordable, this is the place for you!

I have another hairdresser I have had for most of my life, but I was in desperate need of a trim before a wedding and couldn’t get to him. I made an emergency appointment (primarily based on these reviews) and Nicole could not have been sweeter and more respectful (I was very specific about what I wanted)!
I highly recommend her!!!

Great customer service. My stylist was very friendly. All I had done was a quick trim to remove split ends. I didn’t get a lot removed like I would at other places where they take 2 inches or more off without even asking (even after explaining I want very little off). I was in and out of there in under 15 minutes. Also, conveniently located off of JFK/​UMass T Station.

I came back to get my hair done for prom and even after four hours of dancing and enjoying the night, my hair stayed put as if it was just styled. I showed a model picture of the hairstyle that I wanted and she made it perfect! Need a hairstyle for any special occasion? Stop looking, and go to this salon. Trust me!

Bought a groupon to try out and it was a great experience! I got a wash, cut and dry (originally $ 35 which isn’t bad) and everything turned out great! Staff was super friendly/​helpful and place was cute and clean. I’ll definitely be returning!

I had the privilege of meeting the gals who started the salon today and they are truly genuine and sweet. If I were to describe the feel of the place I would say «homey.» The ladies are sweet not in the «I work in a salon therefore I need to smile and be nice to get through the day» kind of way. They are the easy to talk to kind of people. They are friendly, passionate about what they do, and are excited to make the salon a good business.
Oh and my hair… I love it :) I had gotten highlights done at another salons moons ago and Liana and Nicole both carefully figured out the best way to give me a good boost to the color already there and mix it in with the new color flawlessly (that may not have been the right terminology but my hair looks great folks.). I have really dark hair so I worry about highlights looking too dramatic — but Liana pulled off a look that is subtle but noticeable and pretty.
Can’t beat the price as well — love that it’s in the Dorchester area and an easy walk from JFK/​UMASS if I’m ever on the T for the day. Good part of the neighborhood don’t let Dorchester freak you out– good Mexican food and fun places to eat nearby. Thanks ladies for a good experience and I’m happy I found a new place!

I love Salon Sorores. My first visit was back in June and I haven’t wanted to go anywhere else since. As most females are– I’m super picky about my hair and always nervous to try out a new salon but I’m so glad I did. Nicole, one of the owners, is excellent at color. I have never received so many compliments on my foils. I’ve also gone in to get my hair styled for a wedding and my hair looked fabulous from 10AM until midnight. Also, the prices can’t be beat. I can’t say enough good things about the salon. Definitely worth checking out!

In a perfect location, Salon Sorores is a great addition to the neighborhood. Nicole is my favorite and only hairdresser! Don’t pay crazy prices somewhere else… When you can support small buisness and get more for your money. I always leave feeling fabulous, fresh and beautiful. Five stars isn’t enough!
