Nothing on the site specified a need for a reservation. We came into the city for the 10:00 pirates room escape, and at 9:30 there was no answer to the door or phones. It’s really frustrating to have come all the way in the city for it to just be closed. I think there should be clearer website information. You either need a reservation or you don’t, and if you don’t, don’t close early. Bad business.

Originally, we booked an escape but had mistaken the date. The owner Jeff contacted us in the right time and resolved the problem. Although we missed the game, but from talking with him I can feel that Jeff is a person who cares his business as well as customers. Will try the game next time when we visit Boston.

Awesome experience. Went on a work trip with some co-workers and some people we just met. Great ice breaker. The story really led us to work together. Easy to get started, but the clues/puzzles got harder as we went along. Nice balance of difficulty. There were enough riddles for everyone to search/solve on their own, but everything we did tied together. Great team builder.

At first, I was skeptical. My boyfriend booked this based on reviews he read online and rating from a traveling site(we’re from New Jersey). When we went, immediately the competitiveness started. If you’re good at riddles, you’ll love this. If you enjoy a challenge, you will love this even more. Highly recommend it. The guy who runs the whole thing is very kind and I am willing to bet that the course will have you leaving a believer. So much fun.

This was a blast. Went in a little skeptical mostly because I think of myself as «bad» at solving riddles/logic games but I actually contributed as did everyone else… it was so satisfying escaping the room!

I organized an Escape for a Bachelorette party and it was fantastic. Jeff was very communicative in the weeks leading up to the escape and answered any questions I had. He also offered to hide some bachelorette themed items in the room for us to find and add to our fun experience. Everyone in the group loved the escape and Jeff was a great host clearly explaining our mission and giving us little clues when we asked for them. I would highly recommend Room Escapers to any group of friends looking to have a good time, a work team building event or bachelor or bachelorette parties!

Went here on my birthday with a group of friends and had a blast! My friends and I were all first-timers and did not know what to expect. The hour was interesting, challenging, fun, and just all around unique. I mean, pirates and… well, I won’t give any other details away. Jeff is a great host and I encourage everyone to book a spot(or 10) today!!!

Awesome experience! I went with a group of ten adults as a Saturday afternoon activity, and we had a blast. I had no idea what to expect and was so pleasantly surprised and impressed. Jeff was a fabulous host, and the hour flew by quickly. I would DEFINITELY recommend this to anyone looking for a super-entertaining and engaging activity with a group of friends or co-workers. It is also in a great location for shopping, eating, sight-seeing, etc. afterwards. Do it!

We had a blast! The 8 of us rented the room(s) for a birthday weekend in Boston. I would highly recommend trying it out. It’s really cool how many clues you can fit into 2 rooms to escape!

Seriously, best escape room experience in Boston. I’ve(dorkedly-making up words) been to all of them in town and Jeff has made an incredible room and he’s a total blast as a host. I couldn’t recommend it more! Great way to spend an afternoon/evening

Had a really fun night with friends and it was my first time successfully escaping(tried other escape the room places before)!! Jeff is the owner and is very personable. Amazing props, puzzles, and design. My SO and I came a bit early but Jeff had some cool mini puzzles to keep us busy while we waited for the rest of the group. It was actually hard to find the entrance because of all the tents(for the Haymarket stands) are in front and around it — so don’t worry, keep looking!

Absolutely great experience! If you have any reservations about going, don’t. This was our first time trying these types of escape room formats and we had a blast. The owner Jeff is a super nice guy and put us at ease right away. He explained everything clearly and answered all our questions without any hesitation. Went with my kids and they all really enjoyed it. Everyone was able to contribute, even the youngest, who was 7. The difficulty of the«puzzles» varied so that everyone had a great time. Jeff was great at knowing when we would be stuck and give us just enough clues for us to move on. The location was perfect, really close to Faneuil Hall and there was a packing lot right across the street. Jeff even validates the parking pass so it only cost $ 1 and was super convenient. Eagerly looking forward to our next«escape».

Very nice ! The owner is fantastic and super nice! The venue itself had everything you needed… Bathroom, some brain teasers to get you going, and very nice owner with great ability to tell the story. The place isn’t huge, and it isn’t a place you would stumble upon but if your plan is to do an escape room thing, this was does the trick. The activity itself is fun… Definitely takes some mental power and is super fun with a group of friends. The area is fantastic obviously, aside from being busy… And sometimes touristy… But you are right by all the restaurants and bars in that area… Easy from expressway, too. Reasonably priced

One of the best Escape room I’ve ever been two. A non traditional take on the Escape room concept. Jeff was an amazing host and cluemaster. Storyline was cool how it goes with the local history. Give them a try, you won’t regret it

Time travel! Pirates! So much fun! Came here with a group from work and we had a great time! The clues are challenging and fun, but not too difficult that you are frustrated and want to give up. I’ve done a few other room escapes in the area, and this one was my favorite. Jeff does a great job of making it such a memorable experience! Would definitely recommend!

The owner Jeff, is friendly and awesome. Came here for my brother’s birthday in a group of 10 and Jeff was very accommodating with us. We had a great time and even though it’s not mandatory, my brother tipped him $ 20 because of his overall great service, friendliness and providing us with a wonderful experience. Recommended for small/big groups searching for an indoor team bonding. Time to use those brain cells on math problems, finding clues, and riddles! P. S. There’s a garage next door, and Jeff can validate for discounted parking.

This was an amazing escape room! I went with 9 family members and we had an amazing time. Jeff was great and helped us out when we needed it. He set everything up so perfectly! Absolutely the best thing I have done in Boston!

Thank you Jeff for making it a memorable night for my sister’s birthday! Everyone had a blast and barely escaped in time! Whew! Jeff was extremely accommodating and even went out of his way to make it a great experience! I would recommend this for a team building event at work or just to hang out with a group of friends.

A couple friends of mine were traveling in Budapest and came back with stories about the room-escape craze that is apparently super-popular there. Me, i didn’t know what to expect of the whole thing; is it a secret door, a hidden room, is it sketchy or corporate? In this case, it is a clean, modern downstairs room in an old part of the city, ideally located to attract tourists from Quincy Market and the North End. It’s not excessively in-character, really, and the theming of it is appropriate to the setting, but it’s explicitly about the solving of the puzzle. Obviously giving things away is not going to happen, but there’s seeking and finding, math problems, working out riddles, and lots of fun for a good handful of people all working at the same time. The host is very good natured and enthusiastic(and will cheerfully offer hints if you get truly stuck), and will make sure that you’re having fun solving things. If you’re looking for a fun rainy/snowy-day activity for adults or kids with a healthy attention span, this will suit you nicely indeed.

I wasn’t sure what to accept when a group of friends and I headed to RoomEscapers last night, but it sounded fun, so decided to give it a shot. I’m so glad we did! We had a great time, and it is something fun and different to do. Your group has an hour to work together to solve riddles and puzzles to advance into the next room, then eventually«escape». The clues were well thought out and challenging, but not too hard that it becomes frustrating. The business owner, Jeff, is friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location near the T, and Parcel 7 garage, which they validate for. I’d recommend this for all ages, and for locals and tourists. Great place!
