The fried chicken was amazing. Came here with my two daughters after graduation and the food was delicious. The bread and cole slaw was on point. I will definitely stop by once I’m in the Boston area again.

My go to fast food all through college. It’s really convenient if you’re in that area — it’s literally right in the middle of BU’s West Campus. It can get pretty busy during meal times or during big events(for example, before and after games or concerts at Agganis Arena). Parking is never that great in that area during event days. There’s a lot of meters on Comm Ave and on some side streets but it is also located right across from a green line stop. There’s not that many food options — it’s chicken fingers. Clear and simple. Good chicken fingers(you can even get a chicken finger sandwich!) with slaw, Texas toast(very good), and fries. They also have catering if needed. Service is fairly fast and people are friendly. You get a small discount if you show your student ID! Overall a good fast food joint and great if you’re just picking up or taking out. Then again, I may be bias since I used to live down the street.

Honestly kinda rude cause I just wanted another slaw cup and they tried to charge me for it. What is your slaw profit margin? You can afford to give me, a loyal patron, one free slaw cup. I’d rate lower but their slaw is v good

Literally the best chicken tenders you can find under the sun. Always fresh, always mouth watering and finger licking good. This place specializes in chicken, besides the fries that’s all they cook there.(not counting the toast) You can actually order a bucket of 100 chicken tenders for $ 100. They have Pepsi products for soda and it’s free refills. I love it because Mountain Dew is made by Pepsi and that’s my favorite soda. Definitely in my top 3 places to get chicken tenders. If you want my other 2 choices I would say Longhorn Steakhouse(Yes, they make incredible chicken tenders) or KFC if you catch them on a good day… There have been a couple occasions where I’ve gotten dry chicken, but when it’s made fresh it is great!

Hmm. Don’t believe the Hype. Checked this place out because my sister was RAVING about it and I was so unsatisfied. It was mediocre at best. The fries were the best part of the whole meal for me to be honest. The lemonade is fairly tasty as well. The Texas toast was actually pretty good and buttery as well. The focus point and main joy was definitely not the chicken though. If you can’t get to a Chick Fil A, KFC or a McDonalds(in that order) then I suppose head to Cane’s but dont’ expected to be wowed with the other implications of these reviews. I wasn’t wowed at all. The service was fairly decent as well. No complaints on that front.

Great example of simple being better. Relatively small menu but they do very well with the handful of options. There are several places in the neighborhood where you can get chicken fingers with dipping sauce and fries, but this one is the best.

Great food! Highly recommend. I always leave feeling happy, full and wanting to come back soon for more. I think a lot of fried chicken places give you mostly breading but here you really get a large portion of meat! I absolutely love their specialty sauce – I know you can sometimes substitute more sauce instead of coleslaw or vice versa. They always have very fast service which is important to keep the chicken hot. They sometimes will even bring the food to your table(or usually call your name). The only warning I have is to avoid BU Hockey Game nights or be prepared for it to be crowded! Usually though, I can find a booth for me and my friends to sit in. and there is not really any variety in what you can order: simply chicken bread and fries.

I love it when restaurants help you decide what to eat. If you come to Canes, you’re getting Chicken Tenders, Texas Toast, Fries, Coleslaw, Cane’s sauce, and lemonade. That’s all folks! This fried chicken chain serves some of the best, fast food chicken tenders. I’ve never had over cooked canes, it’s always fried to juicy perfection. The chicken itself could probably use some more seasoning, but the Cane’s sauce patches up that problem real quick. I’m also a huge fan of the lemonade. Definitely not fresh squeezed but it’s not too sweet or salty. Definitely some of the best I’ve had.

Raising Canes serve only a few items. But they do those few items well. A box gets you 4 – 6 chicken wings(depending on the type of box you buy), a side of coleslaw, bread, curly fries and a dip. The sides(which is everything but the chicken wings) come standard with any and every type of box you buy. The wait time ranges from 1 – 5 minutes. Not too bad at all. It’s a pretty neat place.

This place is a staple of any BU student. It sits on the edge of BU and Allston and I often found myself here after walking back from the gym. Although I might prefer Popeyes, I think the Texas Toast is much better than the lame biscuits they have. How can you go wrong with fried chicken?

Canes is a fast food restaurant, but it’s quality is much better than those cheap disgusting fast food places. The chicken is very tasty, the sauce is amazing. I also like the Texas toast. The location is kinda far, and there is only one store in Boston. I think they should open more branches.

Canes chicken is so crispy, warm, and delicious. Seriously just as good as it gets. It’s cheap, its incredibly quick, and the staff are always friendly and courteous. I would take Canes over any other fast food restaurant any day of the week. It’s amazing they can pull off such a small menu(honestly the entire menu comes down to fried chicken + sides) and have people coming back so frequently, but they manage it — and incredibly well. This place is(and should be) a go-to for college students. I came here all the time when I was in college, and it was such a great late night snack. Meal of choice: 3 finger combo with no cole slaw and extra fries(or extra toast depending on the day) + the lemonade. This food is so good and such a staple in my life that if I move to another city, I will have to make sure there is a Canes there.

The food is really good here. The chicken is Amazing and the texas toast is a nice touch. I usually take out the coleslaw and replace it with more fries. Had a few instances where someone just took away the coleslaw and screwed me on the extra fries though. The Menu isnt that huge. Its just Chicken fingers and thats it. So its great for the college kids. It’s not really a family place as there is not enough diversity in the menu. Sometimes you get coupons from stop n shop on the back of the receipts so make sure to look for them. I really enjoy the sauce they serve, whats in it: Only posting this because I think you should know what you put in your body: 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise 1⁄4 cup ketchup 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic salt 1⁄4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper, to taste I go here as often as I can but again finding parking can be a pain or I have to have enough time to walk 40 minutes back and forth. Regardless I love it.

I ordered the box combo comes with 4 pieces of chicken, a bread(love the bread! It’s so awesome!!), some fries, coleslaw and the sauce. The coleslaw is a little too sweet for me but its normal. The sauce actually taste like Thousand Island with lots of pepper. I like their fries too. I am a Coca-cola fan and the soda selection they have are Pepsi! :( It’s my first time here and I would definitely come again! Fried chicken fingersssss! :P

Best fried chicken in the area! The chicken is moist and tender yet crispy on the outside. The dipping sauce is sooooo good. I love dipping everything in it. Oh and the french toast, so fluffy inside yet has a crunchy outer layer, it will melt in your mouth. AND It’s not a complete meal without the sweet tea(the sweetness complements the entire meal). You can never go wrong with Cane’s!

My advice: order less than you think you want on your first time. Oh my goodness, it was a LOT of food. I got the 4 piece plate that came with a gajillion fries. Also has a side of cole-slaw(average) and buttery toast(much buttery goodness). The chicken was done just right and the service was friendly and quick. You get a lot of food for the price in that area. Be prepared to feel nauseous afterwards though. Even if you fill up after three tenders, it’s hard leaving the last deliciousness on the plate.

This is a good place to go after a BU hockey game. With a certain amount of shots or goals during the game, they offer a buy one-get one deal at Cane’s directly after the game. The crowd even starts to chant«we want chicken!» to pump up the players when the game is getting close to that goal. As for the food, even though BU students rave about it, I think Popeyes is better for fried food. The fried chicken is alright, the Texas toast is less than mediocre, and the fries are alright. I wouldn’t say the food is bad for a fried food Popeyes type, but you definitely feel like a heart attack afterward. It’s an experience you should have once, but maybe not again.

These fried chicken fingers hit the spot every time. It’s been a consistent part of my college diet. You get the best of both worlds: chicken is super moist and the batter is extra crispy. And the dipping sauce… It’s probably just thousand islands, but it is SOO good with the chicken! And the toast… and the fries. Just slather the sauce on literally everything! Warning: there is never enough sauce to accommodate for the entire meal so use it sparingly. The fries are not bad. Could use more seasoning, but you don’t come here for the fries anyway. I absolutely love the texas toast. It’s warm, thick, buttery and crispy. You can here the crackle upon first bite and it melts in your mouth. It was my first time trying texas toast and I didn’t realize how heavenly a piece of bread can get. The meals usually comes with a drink and you can either pick soda fountain or lemonade. I’ve heard the lemonade is pretty good, but my friends always get the sweet tea. Not a huge fan, but my friends love it! I think it’s worth a try :)
