I work in the financial district and find it hard to not go to this place every day for lunch. The line is usually pretty long(just a sign of an awesome spot) but their staff is efficient and it goes very quickly. They make the best humus and pita chips, which you can get as one of 3 sides that come with a «plate». You can’t go wrong with any options; plates, roll-ups and salads are all great. This is the place to go for authentic Lebanese/Mediterranean cuisine.

I’d give it 3 stars based on the taste of the food, but it gets 4 stars for its large portion sizes and speedy service. Prices are fairly reasonable– you can get a large meal for under $ 10. I was full from eating half for lunch, and full after eating the remaining half for dinner. The food is very fresh-tasting and they have a lot of options for sides(ex– salad with pita chips, salad, hummus, etc). Their rice was very soft and well-done. My only quibble was that the chicken shawarma was a bit flavorless. It was cooked and everything, but it lacked flavor. The workers are friendly and the order gets done very quickly, even during lunch hour. There are only a couple tables inside, however.

There are a whole lot of places in the downtown area to get a quick bite to eat, but this is the best. Everything is really fresh, there’s a good variety of menu items, it’s reasonably priced and the line moves quickly. I grab lunch here at least once a week and never get tired of it!

I love this place. I work in the financial district and we come here once a week for the chicken shawarma plate with hummus+chips, rice and spicy potatoes. It is a fine oiled machine where you can go in and out in minutes even with a super long line because of the efficiency. Our only advice for management is to create a rewards program because other takeout joints nearby has one like Pavias, Flames etc. Where you visit a certain number of times you’d get discounts or a free meal. I’ve been going there weekly for 2 years now!

Another killa lunch option for the win! Their chicken kebob is juicy, charred to perfection and lightly seasoned with herbs making it fully drool-worthy. Paired this greatness with their smooth and creamy hummus, baba ghanouj(no funky chunks!), tabboule, which offered a refreshing and light touch and those crispy, spicy potatoes I could blissfully live off of possibly forever. The hot sauce, though good sadly wasn’t spicy enough. Just a delicious plate!

Thank you Pita Thyme for a fairly priced and yummy Chicken Kebab wrap! Quick and friendly service and super good to boot. The garlic aioli is awesome and a little hot sauce addition to the wrap was the perfect thing to tie it all together. I also love the pickles in the wrap, a different take and a lovely addition. The line was long but moved very quickly, so do not be turned away by that!

Try their steak kebab salad! It is very good and has a lot of flavor. Nice to change up from the regular day salad. They also have tasty pita wraps!

Its a nice pita place in downtown. I tried their chicken shawarma pita. The portion was huge. It had lot of veggies and OK quantity of chicken. It was big and filling. During lunch hours, its packed with people. They have very limited seating. The price is OK for the pita., less than $ 10 for a huge shawarma. They also have shawarma platters but my recommendation will be the Roll UP !

I’ve worked downtown for many years. For breakfast and lunch, this is my favorite spot. I’m picky about meat and veggies, and everything is incredibly fresh. Plus friendly staff and fast-moving line. Lunch favorite = chicken shawarma plate with rice and salad. Breakfast favorite = roll up with egg and cheese. It’s is fantastic and only $ 3.99 + tax. I watched them crack and fry the egg fresh in front of me. Keep doing what you’re doing, Pita Thyme, because it’s the best!

Totally get why there is always a long line out of this place. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate with spicy potatoes(like home fries), hummus and salad. The chicken was tender, moist and flavorful. Line moves fairly quickly.

When there’s not much to say about a place, it’s either really good or really bad, and Pita Thyme is solidly in the ladder group. Line gets pretty long during the lunch rush, but they really move people through quickly. They have shwarma and various salads, and everything is tossed in front of you. The chicken was pretty tender and overall the shwarma was really tasty. Portions are pretty generous and prices are reasonable(things range from $ 7 to a little over $ 10) Really delicious and awesome for a quick lunch. Inside seating is pretty limited though, especially when most of the tables are blocked by people waiting in line. Definitely a grab and go place.

My friend and I were trying to go to Casa Razdora on the same block but stopped as soon as we saw the line stretching out the door. There was a substantial line inside Pita Thyme as well but it moved quickly despite my friend’s server doing her best impression of sleep-serving. We both got the kefta kebab plates and agreed that while the food is pretty good and reasonably priced, especially for the part of Boston we were in, we’ve had better. The meat was well-seasoned and properly grilled but the sauces were insipid — the white sauce had no tang or refreshing quality whereas the hot sauce was thin and lacking in taste. The rice seemed to have been done in a plain buttered pilaf style. The tabbouleh was fresh but also watery. The fattoush salad was good topped with crispy thin pita chips. The wheat pita was satisfyingly chewy. All in all, Pita Thyme is a decent option with a shorter and faster-moving line than some other popular lunch spots nearby and walking distance from Post Office Square.

Delicious!!! Had the half chicken half beef plate. The meat was so tender and unbelievable. Coming back for sure… oh yeah they give you free falafel on Fridays.

Update: I had a stink bug in my Fattoush!!! It was alive and crawled out of my lunch! I went down to the place and showed it to the manager and he said that it probably came with the salad greens that are pre-washed by their supplier. Whatever the reason, I am probably never going back! Old review My favorite lunch place! Almost everything on their menu is great! I usually get their combo plate with lots of baba ganoush and tabouli. I love their crunchy and non-greasy falafels. Some Fridays, they serve the spicy Lebanese fish, which is just incredible!

I love this place as it brings Lebanese /Mediterranean to the Fast Casual market. Depending on what your tastes are like, you can go Chicken Kabob all the way to falafel all the while mixing in some chicken or beef shawarma that are my favorites. It’s pretty easy, pick your style, PLATE, WRAP or SALAD then go from there. I love the Chicken Shawarma plate with fattoush, double hummus, and pita chips, at just over $ 10. What else can I say Pita Thyme is a place you can get a fantastic meal quickly! That is once you make it to the counter as lines grow quickly, but move even faster thanks to the attentive staff and owners all of whom I enjoy interacting with. FYI: Only open during the week, so if you’re in town get on over to the financial district for this little piece of the middle east!

The food was fairly good and makes an ideal lunch spot. The potatoes were a bit spicier than expected, but not too much. The price is anywhere from 8 – 16 per average meal, so very much affordable. Over the experience was great. Walk in, order, get it going.

The falafel was excellent! Probably the most memorable part of the meal. And the baklava was also a great dessert(not too sweet). Portions are huge and can definitely last two meals — especially when you have sides like hummus, pita bread, salad. More of a take out lunch place, not much seating. Lines moved quickly and service was efficient.

This is a great lunch spot if you’re looking to grab and go. The staff is friendly and efficient, and all of the food and ingredients are fresh and well-prepared. I’m torn between going here and Boston Kebab right down the street, but this place happens to be 20 feet closer to my office. Because of their conveyor belt approach to assembling your food, you’ll have your lunch in hand in under 5 – 7 minutes, despite how long the line may be. Everything I’ve had has been good: chicken and beef shawarma, and the beef kebab salad. I like to put the beef kebab on a Mediterranean salad and save a little $$$ over their signature salad.

I know you’re probably crashing this joint for a fast shawarma wrap between brokering deals and Snapchatting naughty bits to Kelly in accounting, but if you can save room for the delicate, perfectly honeyed baklava(rolled in pistachios and tubularly shaped), your day will be sweeter than that time she accidentally texted you a knuckle-biter instead of the quick delete. Yknow, the one you said you deleted. You swore you got rid of it.* Anyway, three pieces of flaky baklava for $ 2. Eat two, give one to that junior trader who avoids eating, because he swears he’s riddled with candida. Even he’ll love these things. *You didn’t.
