On a warm July afternoon, a 26yo female with an overflowing closet and a bad case of ADD decided it might be the right time to drop a few winter clothing items off at the drycleaner — and by «a few» I mean«all of them.» As she walked away from North End Dry Cleaners, she was filled with a warm sense of accomplishment: Laura 1, ADD0. I’m not sure if you’re aware — but it’s now November, and that warm feeling has vanished and been replaced by a nasty wind chill factor. Problem is, I can’t remember where any of my win… OH.MY.GOD. That’s right kids. Count ‘em. Three months. ANDMYCLOTHESWERESTILLTHERE. Sure, the bags are a bit yellowed, but the clothes are cleaned, pressed and ready for fall. Whatever, I planned it this way; I’m counting it as a win: Laura 2, ADD0. P. S. — The best part of this story is that last week Damien S. sent me a compliment speculating that my 100th review would be about a drycleaner — to which I responded«Pssshhhhh, no! I don’t use dry cleaners» — and I only remembered my missing clothes this morning. P. P. S. — OK, OK: Laura 2, ADD1.

after my tailor took over a month to alter my dress and i got it back just days before my graduation i realized it obviously needed to be either steam cleaned or pressed. i went to four different places and even offered obscene amounts of money to get it done within 24 hours. i thought hope was lost. but then i came here. the woman told me she would do it for me by tomorrow(today) and sent me on my way. i was a little unnerved because she didn’t give me a ticket or anything that proved my very expensive dress was my own. however, i was able to pick it up bright and early this morning all pressed and for the low cost of $ 6(i didn’t have to spend an obscene amount of money)! perfect! made my very stressful weekend way less stressful.

I’m just really relieved that they were able to remove all evidence of my klutziness from the dress I wore on Saturday. Yep, got make-up on it and resultant water rings from trying to wipe the stain off.(of course she told me I shouldn’t have touched it… but oh well… too late now!) I took it in on Tuesday and was able to take it home on Friday.(I told them I wasn’t in a rush.) Cost: $ 12 Relief: Priceless
