Updating again because this place is really enjoyable. We enjoyed three meals at North 26(waited by Jairo who is awesome — so is Fernando) and loved everything we had. Buck a Shuck was great — $ 1 Oysters between 4:30 — 6:30pm — who can go wrong with that? We had almost everything on the menu split between 3 meals from salads to fish to $ 20 Ribeye. The service was great, the restaurant is usually pretty empty and the food is delicious. It’s casual with a hint of class.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday last weekend with a small group of people. The restaurant accommodated 9 of us with a special table in an aesthetically pleasing separate area of the restaurant. The staff that night, Maddie and Hiro, were more than gracious serving appetizers, wine, champagne and delicious food. Haddock was excellent. We had fried chicken sliders(may not be on the main menu) but, nonetheless, EXCELLENT. There was so much attention to small details. I applaud the restaurant for helping us create a memorable occasion for everyone!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed dinner here with my folks, stepsister and 9 month old nephew. The staff was courteous and attentive. Prices skittle high but it is a hotel in a very touristic part of Boston.

Ok. Nothing more. The recycled table bread was the low point. The service was ok. The décor was ok. The drunk people at the bar seemed to be trying to set a new record for screaming at each other. The food was ok. The prices are not ok.

Beutiful place, and a great location. We came for a special occasion and thought this would be THE place for it… We ordered 2X3 course dinners and started to get a little suspicious when the waitress(who had a very strange attitude and talked to us as if we were in kinder garden) was unable to describe some of the dishes(«Boston cream pie is not like a pie, but more fluffy as a doughnut»). As the food started arriving we got more and more disappointed — the soup and polenta were tasteless, the rabioli was so sweet it was impossible to eat, the rabbit meat(usually tender) was dry and stiff, and he sea food came in a too-sweet, sticky lump that used to be carrots(?). It was also covered with dill so that all we could smell was the dill smell. when we got to the Boston cream pie we realized that by «fluffy» the waitress neatnt to a very poorly made layers cake with very little crea inside. Unfortunately we left more than half of the food in the plates and were very disappointed to leave ~$ 130 at the restaurant. It would hae been perfect, if there was only a different chef in the restaurant :(

I grabbed a dessert here one night and dinner the next. Three things left me wishing on this perfectly lovely looking place: 1. Getting a table is strange. There is no clear«wait here». You wander a hall. Wait staff whoosh by you and stare at you as if you’ve stumbled in from the docks somewhere. Wait staff is a little aloof, but I am sure they endure tourists every moment of their existance… and bless them for that. 2. I ordered a salad based on the protein that occupied 2⁄3 of the dish’s name. An esfancy restaurant should have better faire than the cart across the street with nice big hearty, fresh, warm, just-prepared morels of soft, flakey, buttery lobster at half the price. Right? Most assuredly it did not. Cold, chewy, very sparse, remanant, and seemingly a little funky from the walk-in… 3. There seems an unnatural passion around ring molding. Groomed food on mostly empty plates… and it’s not like posh. It’s like«free the hostages» and a feeling of sparsness… I am sure it’s a nice place… maybe just two so-so experiences this trip. It was a bustling place both times. Perhaps I’ll try again next trip.

What a fabulous brunch! No reservations needed. Fantastic fresh ingredients in my omelette. They must make their English muffins on thepremises. My g/f got The corn beef hash and eggs over medium. She raved about it. I was able to enjoy hot, looseleaf tea. Our server was charming and efficient. I can easily see this becoming a go-to place whenever I’m in the area.

I came here for dine out Boston bc I wanted to try somewhere new. I was so disappointed. I ate at the bar. The atmosphere is actually nice. The restaurant itself is very pretty. First off the drink I got was not good. I had two sips and didn’t drink anymore and the bartender charged me for it! She told me when I come back next and she’s working my next drink would be on the house. Really? My next drink? Lobster bisque was great actually. I ordered the scallops. When it came out I didn’t realize I was getting two entire entrees on one plate. I got 4 scallops in a bed of ravioli. Then once we were done eating but the plates were still in front of us a nice gentleman brought us our dessert. What made it awkward was that the bartender snapped at him. Dessert itself was the worst part. That’s usually the place where a restaurant can redeem itself. I got the worst blackberry cobbler. I think I could get something better in a frozen section of a grocery store. It was sticky like syrup and there was barely any crumble on top. You can say that’s the first and last time I go there. I actually regret eating there.

Best Lobster dinner deal in town! $ 20 can’t beat it! Clam Chowder, Corn, Potatoes, and of course, 1.25lb Lobster. Four stars for our server who was attentive, friendly, and gave us a tip on getting around Martha’s Vineyard! Thank you my friend.

We stumbled upon this place before a Bruins game, when everything on Canal St was busy. What a great find!!! The Salmon is delicious!!! I have been here 4 times now, and it’s never disappointed me. Usually the margaritas are killer too, although it depends on the bartender. They were not as tasty the last time I went. It’s a bit pricey… if you go out with another person and each have a few drinks with dinner and dessert, it’ll run you $ 150 or so with the tip. We’ll be back however, because it’s a solid place to eat!

We loved this place! I mistakenly wrote a review of it for the hotel. We «took a chance» on their $ 20 lobster dinner recently. Well, we loved the whole experience. The 1 and ¼ lb lobster with clam chowder, corn, and potatoes, good butter, and excellent rolls proved a fully satisfying meal, just as good as at The Palm for maybe 1⁄3 the price. Great barkeep, Cat, and excellent, fun server, Deanna. Attentive young manager, Ryan. The cocktails were first-rate. We went in early, like 6:30, on a Thursday night, and this may be an advantage. It began to get pretty crowded around 8 with still only one server.

Stayed at the Millennium Hotel, so we had lunch here before leaving to the airport. Big mistake! The food here was so terrible!. Should have taken a clue from the fact it was empty all weekend. We had the lunch combo(soup & sandwich) — the clam chowder was very watered down and the lobster roll was not only miniature size, wasn’t tasty. We also had the Lobster Bake special — disgusting! The chowder again, was extremely watered down, came with just a raw plain boiled potato, and the lobster was full of disgusting black stuff — intestines, poop, eggs. Who knows, who cares just don’t bother eating here, there are so many other good choices nearby.

3.5 stars for my Dine Out Boston experience(aka Restaurant Week). North 26 is located at the Millennium Bostonian Hotel just beyond the historic Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Though I was the 2nd party to arrive for lunch, three additional groups came in shortly thereafter, and we were all given seats by the window facing the street. The rolls arrived warm and soft inside beneath the crisp crust with some nicely softened butter. For my two course Restaurant Week special for $ 20, I selected the Lobster Bisque with fresh Lobster and Crème Chantilly and their Roasted Gulf of Maine Swordfish, Zucchini, Tomato, Basil and Olive Tapenade on Lemon Risotto with Haricots Verts. The bisque was light and creamy with a decent amount of cubed claw meat, though some pieces were a little tough. The fish was a good portion at about a half inch thick, and perhaps one of my most healthy lunches of late as it came topped with a nice pile of diced vegetables. However, I shamed the clean plate club as I couldn’t finish the creamy risotto. Service was pleasant.

Yes, I came here during restaurant week but it was not at all busy. The menu was pretty good except they had one online which was different than the one in the restaurant, but no biggie. I think they still honored whatever was online too which was great. I got their pheasant dish with sweet potato gnocchi. It was a very interesting dish with a lot of flavors and textures going on. And the portion was huge which I liked. I can’t describe the flavors, but I tasted some thanksgiving in there. It was pretty good. The service was excellent from the bar staff to our table service. At the bar, our home made potato chips were never empty(oops) and the bartender was friendly. Plus, it was really comfortable! Most bar stools are very uncomfy. The table was great and the service too. For the dessert, mine was taking a long time for some reason so our server was very apologetic and offered to buy a glass of wine for the wait. I couldn’t drink anymore but that was a really awesome gesture. And…location. Pretty easy to get to, but afraid that there may be some influence on certain aspects of the place due to its proximity to Quincy Market area.

Expensive but great. Their margarita is awesome, strong! They’re burgers are great! The only thing is their calamari was greasy. But overall great experience!

You’d think a AAA Four Diamond-rated hotel«signature restaurant» would at least have tablecloths. But nope, it uses outdated place-mats that look and feel more like non-slip shelf liners. Food was just meh; nothing to write home about, nothing to entice a return.

We stayed at their hotel and it turned out to be convenient to eat here for lunch. When I asked for bacon on my burger the waiter came back and told me that they’d have to charge me SIX dollars for bacon on my burger. I’m sorry but I’ll go out and buy a freaking PACK of bacon for six bucks… No thanks. It shouldn’t be that big of a deal to throw two slices of bacon on the burger… Maybe they have magical pigs of great value in the kitchen… Hmmm. Anyway my waiter put two slices on the burger and added 50 cents which is totally cool… Even a dollar fifty would have been okay. So yeah the burger was okay nothing to rant and rave about. The waiter was very nice and the check was too expensive for my liking.

While staying at the Millennium we decided to have breakfast at North 26 restaurant which is attached to the hotel. The service was prompt and the food was good, but in the bill ended up being a little pricey. My wife had the lobster omelet, which was full of pieces of lobster and stuffed with a mild goat cheese. This was served with a side of potatoes and a homemade English muffin. I enjoyed the bowl of steel cut oatmeal, which was quite large. The oatmeal comes with brown sugar and raisins, but no toast. Little did I know that when I was asked if I would like some fresh fruit for my oatmeal it would be an additional $ 4, but I should have known better. The coffee was good and strong and our meals arrived promptly. While it was an enjoyable breakfast, I have a hard time justifying $ 50 for an omelet and a bowl of oatmeal.

I went to this restaurant for dinner but not by my first choice! I wanted to eat at Quincy Market but I got there too late and just decided to eat here because it was close by. I decided to go for the 3 course menu. For appetizer, I ordered the saffron broth with grilled garlic bread mussels. I thought the mussels were really good! I really enjoyed the appetizer. The portion was really generous and the mussels were cooked well. For my entrée, I ordered the swordfish entrée with fruit compote. The swordfish was a little bit on the dry side and the dish as a whole lacked flavor. I thought the fish was overcooked. For dessert, I ordered the cheese sampler. I was not interested in any of the dessert option, so I ordered the cheese sampler to pair with my wine. I believe that the cheese was the best course out of the 3 courses that I had. I really liked the honey that they provided for the cheese. It really paired with the wine that I ordered. Since it was their 30th anniversary, they were having a special for their wines. It was $ 30 a bottle. I tried the chardonnay and I thought it was pretty good. It paired well with my courses. My server was a little awkward. She interacted with my friend and me in a weird way. Every time she passed by to check up on us I just felt a weird vibe from her. After dinner, I wanted to go to the restroom, except there are no restrooms in this restaurant. You have to walk outside the restaurant and use the restroom at the hotel next door, so I think it is really inconvenient.
