Walking back to my office looking for lunch, I decided to try this food truck out. There were about 5 people waiting for food, so I figured it was worth a try.
I got the meal box for $ 8 and they have 2 choices, I chose the Dumplings with garlic noodles and it comes with Asian slaw. The dumplings were pan fried just right– crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and try do not skimp on the filling. The garlic noodles weren’t overly garlicky and they gave a good portion. The Asian slaw was delicious and added a nice freshness to the meal box. I will def try them again.
The guys in the truck were very helpful and friendly, it made the process so much easier.
They accept credit cards as well, the receipt gets emailed to automatically so bi worries if you don’t have cash in you!

Delicious! We had this place for the first time today at the Sowa Christmukkah event. The veggie dumplings, veggie spring roll and noodles were spot on. My husband had the pork dumplings and loved those as well. The servers were super nice and the wait was reasonable especially given how many people were getting food. Thanks, guys!

Best food truck dumplings around ~ tender, savory meat (and not stingy in quantity either), good sauce, good wrapper thickness and chewiness, nicely pan-​seared flavor. Pairs well with the refreshing Asian slaw. The fried chicken is a bit hit or miss (sometimes dry and «rocky», other times more decent, so I avoid those now). Get the side of dumplings and side of Asian slaw, it’s a well-​balanced lunch. Good service, they are actually friendly and proactively say «Thank You» (instead of the customer saying thank you and the vendor giving you a nasty sneer like at some other places — who do those freakin’ vendors think they are, bunch of entitled pansies). In contrast, Moyzilla has everything you need for lunch — good taste, good service!

I got the pork dumplings with noodles which was delicious… unfortunately I only got to eat about ¼ of it before I found a hair cooked in my noodles! Very disappointed that i won’t be going back because what I did eat was delicious!

I am not big on trying new things and if there was a steak tip and mashed potato food truck I probably would have gotten it. But I picked the coolest looking food truck available and that was the purple one– Moyzilla! I got a sampler box for $ 9 which had
(3) dumplings, (5 pieces of) Japanese friend chicken, and a spring roll on a bed of greens. It came with a ginger-​soy sauce for dipping. It was absolutely delicious. I was glad I tried everything but if I see this food truck again I would probably order the Japanese fried chicken as that was my favorite out of the box. I also got a mango soda. ($ 3) It was very cool and refreshing and surprisingly not too sweet. Yum!

I’ve been trying different food trucks in the Boston area, to see which ones were worth another visit. I tried Moyzilla guys when they parked their truck on near the greenway in dewey square about a 10 minute walk from my work building.
Atmosphere/​Experience: Food truck atmosphere, so nothing really going on there. Staff was very friendly and moved the line along quickly. Food came out astonishingly fast. It wasn’t very crowded but they still turned out meals almost instantly
Food: Its ok, there are only a few options, dumplings/​veggie dumplings/​and a fried chicen dish. Then you chose between two sides, scallion rice and garlic noodles. I ordered the chicken meal with a side of rice, and also curious about the dumplings added some veggie dumplings. I thought the chicken was pretty good and the sriracha aioli was tasty but it probably could have been a tiny bit crispier. I regret choosing the scallion rice, thinking it would be a fried rice dish but it was just plain white rice with a few scallions thrown in. Veggie dumplings were flavorless and dry in my opinion, almost inedible without the dipping sauce. Box meals also come with a small side of Asian slaw which was pretty good.
I also tried the mango oolong ice tea, it was pretty tasty but could have been mixed better before being served as I got layers of too sweet and layers lacking mango flavor but after mixing myself it balanced out nicely.
Cost: The box meal is 8 $ which isn’t a bad deal for this area, but isn’t great either. The side of dumplings for 5 dollars seems kind of absurd they were small and mediocre.
Overall: The description of a two star review sums it up nicely… Meh, I’ve experienced better. The best part of the truck is the friendly staff and the speed at which they serve it but everything else falls short.
Would I come back: Nah, for the price and quality it just doesn’t seem worth it. Its probably a around 2.5 on the chart but from my meal the 4 star ranking is a bit high so between a 3 and 2 I chose the latter.

I ordered the classic (pork) dumpling box with garlic noodles. The food came out right away and was lukewarm and the dumplings were dry, not a bit juicy… I’d expect juicy as they are fried. I got the food just before noon so maybe they cooked a bunch and I got the last of the batch?
Based on my experience, I would eat them again if I wanted dumplings (I work in the area) but these are not life-​changing dumplings. Based on other people’s reviews, perhaps I should give them another chance.

Moyzilla is a food truck vendor who keeps the standard high. Their dumplings are plump and juicy and just so so yummy. I have tried both the pork and vegetable dumplings and they are top notch. If you get the full meal box, you can’t go wrong in choosing either the rice or noodles as the side because both are great, and the cabbage salad is a fresh and light accompaniment. Their spring rolls are worth the extra buck! If you aren’t in the mood for dumplings and the Japanese fried chicken is available, this is the way to go. The Panko fried chicken cutlet with a perfect aioli sauce drizzled on top is the best. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. Don’t be put off by the long lines because the service is fast (and friendly!).

Got to eat here when I was at #INBOUND2015…I picked it because it had ridiculously small lines and I was in a hurry.
WHY WERE THERE NO LINES??? This place is awesome. They were serving Japanese chicken bites with scallion rice, Asian slaw and sriracha aioli… OMG I just couldn’t get enough… wish I could have gone again. When I’m on the Greenway in Boston again I will DEFINITELY be looking for them!

So much better than I expected I have to say! The combo box portion is perfect and not too heavy. I got the garlic noodles with the veggie dumplings and it came with a rad Asian slaw that was refreshing between dumpling bites.

Continuing on with the appetizers, at the Providence /​Boston Food Truck Showdown we decided we must try the longest line in the park. Coming from Moyzilla, a Japanese style food truck offering a variety of authentic Japanese Cuisine with raving reviews for their classic dumplings.
While it was the longest line in the park, it moved quickly. The classic dumplings were served in orders of 4 and paired with a ginger soy sauce. These dumplings were average, and didn’t seem any different than dumplings you’d receive anywhere else.

Got the $ 9 meal box last weekend at SoWa. thoroughly enjoyed it!!! Pork dumplings, rice (since garlic noodles were out) and delicious slaw. Added a spring roll for $ 1. I don’t usually like slaw or spring rolls but really really enjoyed both!!!

Let me say this, I LOVE food. It is my only real addiction in life. I love to eat even when I’m not hungry.
That being said, what I am eating right now at this very moment from Moyzilla has probably made my top ten list of favorite things I have ever eaten!
I ordered the classic dumplings with the japanese fried chicken with garlic noodles and slaw with the extra spring roll.
Every piece of this meal tasted amazing. The slaw was possibly my favorite component, it was zesty and refreshing. The garlic noodles were perfect and the chicken was divine. I’m not a huge egg roll guy but theirs was quite tasty albeit soggy from being laid on my food.
I could not be happier. I just struggled to plow down a box of this and I WANT MOAR!
Just to have that flavor back in my mouth again!

The japanese fried chicken with aioli sauce on a bed of fried noodles is delicious. It’s similar to popcorn chicken, but the meat is more tender and the sauce just gives it a little spicy kick. There was also more meat than there was fried batter. I got it twice already, and I am still thinking about it. The spring roll wasn’t bad at all. It was nicely fried, not burnt nor dry. Sad news was I didn’t get to try the mango soda that everyone raved about. I got the lime rickey instead and it was just as refreshing.
Service was quick and everyone was friendly. The truck itself is also very eye catching. It’s not an every day thing where you would get to see a purple truck with a cute Dino on it.

Okay, I was so excited when I learned about a dumpling food truck.
Boy did I overhype everything for nothing. First, 4 SMALL dumplings for $ 5. Um. Right. See those other trucks in the same square offering boxes of lunch for $ 6? You do the math.
Oh, but I can get a box of food you say? Mmkay tell me. Oh, add $ 3? Hmm. $ 8 is more than $ 6, but I get noodles and some salad? Well, if the dumplings were either A) Larger and more filling or B) You know. tasted more amazing then they did — then yes, that wouldn’t be so bad. But for $ 8, I can spend my money more wisely at other lunch establishments, let alone a food truck.
Pass. Although, their mango soda is fairly good, so it may be worth the wait and the $ 3. Overall though, I disagree with the pricing for the quality and quantity of food this place serves, especially being a food truck.

My first experience with the food truck festival on Sundays — lots of options but with the sun beating down in the afternoon, the smaller the line the better.
Moyzilla seemed to be the newbie of the bunch, thus creating a small palpable line. With little to go on, ordered the «Colossal Katsu Sandwich» ($ 8) and a mango oolong iced tea ($ 3ish). Took about 10 minutes to make with a friendly server lady standing outside the truck to hand out the orders.
Katsu sandwich was indeed a colossal piece of meat. Nicely browned and served with a soft yet crunchy roll and a sweet lather of sauce. A very satisfying meal that didn’t leave me unable to walk. The mango iced tea was incredibly sweet at first, then completely flavorless, then a huge kick of mango at the end. I guess you have to stir the hell out of it first (wish I had known that).
Nice place, would go back if there is another short line.

They are usually around BMC on Thursdays and for a while I was coming weekly for lunch. I always get the dumpling meal box. For $ 8 it’s a lot of food and it’s def worth it.
The pork dumplings are decent. The skin is a little too hard and not delicate enough, but it’s meaty and juicy. I usually get it with the noodles and it’s better than the «fried rice». The «fried rice» is not really fried rice at all… it’s just rice. The person who took my order suggested it and I regret ever trying it. So, get the noodles!
I also like their side salad with the light dressing. It’s a good balance to the heaviness of the dumplings and noodles. I always get food coma after this place though so I always have to be careful when I eat this…

For $ 8 — you can’t go wrong with this food truck. Moyzilla — known for their creative spin on dumplings… I have yet to try them due to missed opportunities of chicken/​veggie options and the fact that I can’t seem to stray from the grilled chicken skewers.
I’ve been ordering the grilled chicken skewers with noodle lunch box. Two decent size skewers drizzled in creamy garlic aoli sauce (though I should ask for less sauce to save on the calories) served with a generous portion of non-​greasy yet tasty egg «lo-​mein» noodles and mini portion of asian slaw tossed in a light vinagrette.
Every week, they add something different to the board — whether it is a drink or new style dumpling — you’re bound to be intrigued.
Word of wisdom — good food trucks means long lines during lunch. Best to beat the rush by going before noon. Otherwise — it’ll be about 20min overall — 10 mins in line and 10 mins to get the food.

Freshly made box lunches featuring ample servings and what could be the most adorable spokesbeast on the streets of Boston.
Four packed-​full-​of pork dumplings, steamed and fried for that tacky, chewy texture, a handful of tender, well-​seasoned noodles, Asian slaw and a bonus spring roll — all for $ 9.
A little dissuaded by the off mashups of Buffalo Chicken or cheeseburger dumplings (Moyzilla style), but I might sing a different tune if I ever passed by the truck after a Boylston bar crawl. Also, the slaw is more of a salad — with romaine outleaving radicchio or any other base, and the dressing tasting more of a mustard vinaigrette. Still flavorful and crisp, just a point of nomenclature and greenery expectations. The spring roll, noodles and dumplings are worth their weight in, well, them. Good shtuff.
Cards are accepted via Square, but why bother? With a bottle of water, you’re looking at a $ 10 lunch. Drop the bill, pick up the sticks and use ‘em to tickle the lil Zilla adorning the purple truck’s exterior. It’s a cutie.
