Love Maria’s! They have such a delicious burrito called Chicken Traditional! Price with drink and chips came to around $ 10! Can’t beat the price! I actually love the burritos here more than Chipotle. Go here for a traditional Mexican meal! Check out the menu!

This place is great after any concert. Right next to theater district as well as the Middle East. Consistently good food and quick service.

3.5 stars for lots of food but average quality with good service. We got the loaded nachos with beef which was very filling for 2 people. The beef was salty and reminded me of typical taco meat. They did a good job with the guac and sour cream though and were not shy in giving enough nacho chips and cheese. The restaurant itself is slower during the summer months due to the school year being out. Décor is subpar with really really old school seating. Overall, I’ll come back for my nacho craving if I’m feeling it. I like the owner too and his friendliness is good for business :)

Got here from New York at 11:30 on a Tuesday night, where I had to visit Northeastern the next day. Needed a quick dinner that I could carry to my hostel, and this place does taht perfectly fine. Hole in the wall Mexican place but with good food; I got a Steak Burrito Grande and it was packed with all kinds of stuff. They don’t skimp on the guacamole either. Steak was flavorful/not dry, and the burrito tasted good overall; I’d even argue the steak here is better than the steak you get at Chipotle. Would definitely come again.

I’ve only had one thing here: Pork Carnitas Super Burrito with everything, hold the rice. I have no complaints to make. I thought the burrito was delicious and on the same level as other fast food Mexican in the Boston area. Service was friendly. The food was made to order and I only had to wait a few minutes. I see myself going back whenever I’m downtown and craving a burrito!

I came here for a «Cinco de Mayo celebration» at lunch. I was originally planning on going to Chipotle but a co-worker suggested here as it would be more authentic. I have never been here before. It is near Rock Bottom so a 10 – 15 minute walk from the office. It is small takeout place that has a few tables. The staff was friendly and the food was ready quickly. I got the chicken burrito grande with fajita veggies inside. I have not had a burrito in so long as I usually get bowls. It was delicious and flavorful. I will be back here again.

First of all I’m from California so we have some if the best tacos shops. I was very hesitant to get any kind of tacos here in Boston but I have to say the people are very nice and clean. The place is clean as well. They are very quick with your Oder which is a plus If you are on the go! The tacos are pretty good to my surprise! Definitely would come here again.

This is the best Mexican food in boston hands down! I used to go to Boloco before i discovered this hidden gem right in the theather district. Boloco oddly gives me a stomach ache after. I have tried most of the iteams on their menu and i enjoyed every single one. The customer service is excellent! They treat everyone with courtesy. As a Mexican myself, i recommend this if you want great food.

Me and my friends go here all the time at night. It’s always delicious, filling, and cheap. The workers are extremely friendly and kind, and care so much about their customers. No complaints, don’t know what I would be eating every night at 12:30 without Maria’s and my Fajita dinner plates. Happy to be a frequent customer here.

This is one of the only places in Boston to get a good burrito. Don’t waste your time or money at chipotle or boloco, head to Maria’s and get the real deal. The burritos are huge and they stuff them with all the ingredients! The charge about the same as any other burrito place, so why not actually enjoy your meal and support a local business?

Good, cheap option for a quick meal before heading for the theater. I usually get a steak taco and rice which fills me up.

The service here is great. They were very nice, the place is clean and it was easy to order. But the food is mediocre. This place has the worst tacos. I had the steak tacos and the steak was not tender or good. The rice was bland. The poco de gallo had zero flavor. The good thing was that the guacamole was fine, classic taqueria guacamole. This place is not a good taqueria. I would have rather gone next door to the pizza place. I’ll say this it’s a good taqueria if you just need something in your stomach to soak up the alcohol.

Food is good but slightly overpriced. And the workers are somewhat incompetent, often messing up or misunderstanding orders. Tres de leches cake is tasty.

I had the chicken quesadilla, chili, chips, salsa, and water. $ 12. Filled me up. The chili was one of the best restaurant could I’ve had. Full of flavor, peppers, tomatoes, beans… The quesadilla was great– the seasoned chicken was great. Ordered it just as they make it. Hot and fresh, good flavor. Staff was friendly & fast. Tables are small, but most people seemed to just do take out. Most of the other local choices are sit down meals, this was not that, but rivaled my other 3 nights dinners for satisfaction.

I’m never disappointed when I come here. The burritos are well made. Everything is authentic. It’s super small though. It is the epitome of a hole in the wall Mexican place. The service is fast and there is a great selection. I always go with a steak burrito with guacamole and sour cream. It’s better than the average burrito I can get in Boston. I would recommend this place if you’re in the downtown area and itching for a good burrito.

I was here with two of my friends for dinner yesterday evening(November 20th, 2015). It was a thoroughly disappointing experience. I ordered shrimp tacos and found that the tortillas had been warmed on a steamer. As a result, the tacos were only modestly warm and moreover, I hated the fact that they were not grilled. My friends also noted the same and complained about how the tortillas were sticking to their palate. That’s of course a common problem when tortillas are not heated in the right way on a flat-top. Aside from the taco’s exterior which was disappointing, I also found the filling to be very bland. The edges of the taco were devoid of any filling or even any kind of spread or sour cream and given that, I ended up not finishing my entire taco. Which, as my wife can attest to, almost never happens. Finally, it should be mentioned that like other fast-food joints, one stands and orders his or her food. In other words there is no table-side service. Overall our meal was so disappointing that once it was all said and done, we had to see a therapist, in other words, go to Ben & Jerry’s and get some ice cream!

I never thought I’d be giving a taco/burrito place as many stars as this… But mmmm they are good! After some drinks at the Tam we came here. Huge menu ranging from quesadillas to fajitas and burritos. Tacos of course. Plus MUCH more. I ordered a fajita wrap, with chicken and shrimp. They made the food right there fresh in an iron skillet. It was delicious and fresh. I will be back!

My favorite Mexican place in Boston. I get the shrimp tacos or the quesadilla and they are consistently good. Good service and the recent renovations have made it more pleasant to eat inside.

Prior to moving to Boston, friends and acquaintances have told me the city’s Mexican food isn’t very good. My roommate tried a Mexican place in Allston and reported the same thing. I’m from Southern California so Mexican food is its thing. I’ve ordered steak nachos here. Ingredients are fresh but they’re dry and bland. I’ve tried the ground beef burrito. That’s bland, too. The only thing that made it decent is that I added sour cream. My roommate ordered a chicken quesadilla, which is huge but she didn’t finish it. The only thing that is pretty decent and I would come back to order again is the steak tacos. An order comes with 3 tacos for $ 7.50. Staff is really cool, so I do feel bad for slamming their food. Space is clean and interior organized, but they have such tiny tables. They serve whole wheat tortillas, which is good to know. Otherwise, get Mexican food in Southern California. Or Mexico.
