Great food and friendly staff! Kimchi tacos are my favorite thing to get. But I also like to come here for breakfast. The portions are a hearty size, and the food comes out quick! For me, this is ideal for a quick lunch spot! I love that it’s a little mom and pop shop. You can tell they really take pride in their little restaurant.

Chanced upon this gem. It’s tucked away behind some buildings. It’s a deli and it offers some Korean options as well. Great Korean food, bf and I had the kimchi soup and beef bibimbap. Despite its deli offerings, what we had was pretty authentic Korean. Sadly we didn’t try the kimchi tacos…

2 Words… Korean Tacos. If they were flying this flag, there’d be a line out the door but most everyone knows or remembers the traveler for sandwiches and lunch past. Super nice folks running it, worth breaking up your routine to get some of these tasty, well filled taste bombs. 3 to an order. Room is old school but pretty spacious. Cannot comment on the rest of the food but when’s the last time you were excited not just before but after you ate lunch… damn that was good. Found em on Monday had them again on Wednesday.

I am very disappointed. The owner who served me licked his fingers, then he touched the styrofoam plate to fill my food. I have noticed that he put his hand on the salad when he should wear latex gloves or use tongs. He does not have any common sense about hygiene and sanitary. I prefer to stay away from that place.

Unbelievable korean food and best prices around Boston. For under $ 10 you can get either a bulgogi, bibimbap or bulgogi kimchee taco. and the portions are perfect! Everything is homemade by the woman at the counter who is from Korea and is the sweetest woman you will ever meet. The couple who own the place seem to be very friendly with the customers(knowing most by names) and will recognize if you are a new face or not. Besides the décor being not being the very best, I frequent this place a lot for the Korean food and turkey avocado BLT.

I came for the Korean food. I ordered the Bulgogi plate($ 8.55), which included the bulgogi on rice with a side salad. The side salad was nothing special, but kept the meal from getting too heavy. The bulgogi meat was tender and enough for the price. The only thing that threw me off was the peppers that came with the bulgogi. Owners were very friendly and asked how the food was. Décor was nondescript, but could be overlooked because of the food.

I go here frequently and usually get one of the following: chicken cordon bleu, turkey avocado blt, #29 They are friendly here, it’s a good place to sit and eat, and they make you feel welcome. The husband guy can be a little snippy, but it’s all good. They have Frank’s Red Hot on the tables; props for that.

Great breakfast sandwhiches. I recommend the egg, bacon, avocado and tomato. The woman behind the counter is the sweetest woman you’ll ever meet. Highly recommend it and it’s affordable. About 5 $ for breakfast

For everybody that wants genuine Korean food at a genuine Korean price you’ve come to the right place. The only reason I don’t come here for my dinners is because they close at 3! Best Korean food in Boston handsdown.

Great find! Tucked away in the heart of Boston. The service was very fast which was great for my short lunch break today. The restaurant has both affordable prices and decent portion sizes, which is a rare find for this area. Big menu posted all around the restaurant. It would probably make it a little easier to order if they had it typed up for you to look at since the menu is huge. Looking forward to going back for more!

Real talk: I have worked virtually next door to this establishment for almost two years, and it has consistently given me the heebiejeebies. With the bars on the windows and the hand-written signs and the old-timey vibe… I don’t know why, but I could never convince myself to go in. Until now. This week they put a sign up outside and the sign says«Healthy fresh homemade Korean food». And I did one of those cartoon character double-takes and my eyes bugged out and it was all very Red Riding Hood Looney Tunes. Granted, I ate with my eyes averted from all of the décor and occasionally just closed them, because the food that is sitting out still makes me nervous. But my bibimbap was made fresh and my kimchi soup got my nose a’runnin’. As far as I can tell, this is the only Korean food place open for lunch around this area, and I’m so down.

Best breakfast sandwiches around(And under $ 4!). They are really sweet owners and appreciate repeat business. They make an effort to know your name. Also for anyone in the catering industry, they are a great breakfast catering option when you are in a bind. Inexpensive and very quick. The Bulgogi is very good and I love their tuna melt. I love having this place as an option and only hope that they can get more business as they are fairly tucked away.

To start with some of the nicest people that are concerned that you like what you are eating. Good Korean Food? Hell’s Yes. Bulgogi, Bim am Bap, all really good. Not sure about the sammiches, would never care with all that good korean food. I so want to have time to eat the stone pot Bim am Bap. Go and help these nice owners out.

Small place. Hidden on Court. My friend says it has great food but what I ordered wasn’t so great. I got the Steak and Cheese Sub. Steak was overcooked. Cheese was barely melted. The bread was cold and a bit hard. $ 9 with a can drink. Overpriced. They have Korean food, I might give that a go…

The ultimate hidden gem in my opinion for one great reason… the Turkey Avocado BLT. This sandwich is carefully prepared as if the owner used to be a surgeon. Lettuce, perfectly sliced into squares… Two bacon strips… fresh tomato slices… a huge pile of turkey and the finish… four generous cuts of avocado piled high onto toasted bread. This is the best turkey sandwich in the city in my opinion. The rest of the menu looks like people are enjoying themselves, but this sandwich is remarkable in taste and preparation. The owners are as nice as anyone you can find too.

I’ve eaten here several times, both for breakfast and for lunch. The staff is amazingly friendly, but the food is a little hit or miss. The main part of the meal can be very good, but the sides, not so much. For example if you get meatloaf with mashed potatoes and veggies, the meatloaf is good but the potatoes and veggies are very bland. It’s the same story at breakfast, I had bacon, eggs, homefries and toast. Everything was tasty but the homefries. They were bland. The portions are quite large and the prices are very inexpensive. I say, go there and get a meal but bring the salt & pepper.

I wanted to update my review to include the bulgoki that I have gotten twice recently. It was VERY good! Considering this place is well outside Chinatown, and is a take out place, their bulgoki was very good! The owners are Korean, and it shows in their bulgoki. I got a good amount of meat over sticky rice and sprinkled with sesame seeds. There was a decent amount of onions, carrots and scallions in my meal. They served it along with salad, but the salad didn’t feel right with the meal, so the second time, I asked them to omit the salad. The owner insisted on putting some daikon radish as a side dish. By the way, the owners are very nice and friendly! The best thing about my meal was only $ 6.95. What a bargain! I highly recommend the Korean dishes here.

The pros: The woman at the counter is unbelievably friendly. For a diner, this place is pretty clean. They offer magazines while you wait. The cons: I should have known that a place that offers a wide range of food(breakfast, sandwiches, specials, and things like bib em bap and kimchi) wouldn’t execute most things well. The food is really OK at best, but because of the location, it’s a bit more expensive than what you’d expect for the food quality. This last visit, I had an egg and cheese bagel(I wanted a spinach omelet, but they were out of spinach at 8:30am) with a side of home fries. The side was $ 2, but potatoes came in one of those little Styrofoam cups that most takeout places use for salad dressing… certainly not a good value at $ 2. The nice woman at the counter kept telling me how much I’d enjoy my egg sandwich because the bagels are«homemade». I got excited, but it turns out that, yes, the bagel was good, but it was on par with a Thomas’ or something. The bread overwhelmed the one egg and one slice of cheese on the sandwich, so it really tasted like I was eating an expensive toasted bagel. I can’t say I’d go back, which is too bad because the employee was so adorable and delightful.

I went to the Hungry Traveler today for lunch and witnessed the most disgusting thing that I have ever seen. As the cook was preparing my pastrami and another patrons hamburger on the grill, the cooked dropped the spatula on the disgusting kitchen floor. Then he stepped on it. It sat there for at least 2 minutes before another employee placed it back on the grill. The cook then came back and pressed the burgers and chopped my pastrami with the bacteria ridden utensil. THISPLACENEEDSSHUTDOWN! VERYUNSANITARY!!!

This place is refreshingly bizarre… from the forties-style sign outside to the seventies-deli-style décor inside. The best part about it is the location; it’s hidden in on a sidestreet off an alley right next to Government Center. So random! I’ve been here for lunch twice and it’s a good sandwich… nothing outstanding, nothing wrong, decent value. Avoid the drinks in the cooler, they’re ridiculously expensive, like $ 2 each for regular bottles of soda. What this place looks like it’s really good at is breakfast… the next time I’m downtown at breakfast time looking for eggs and coffee, I’m coming here.
