I love their buffalo chicken pizza. The crust has got this crunch, the chicken is generous cubes, and the sauce and jalapeños complete the combination. I don’t know how they manage to keep the chicken moist and crust crunchy. It’s our go to spot for pizza. We always order takeout so I have not had the poor delivery experiences most people have highlighted in the reviews. If takeout is an option for you, give the pizza selection here a try. It’s rarely a miss for us(I can tell when they have new hires making the pizza). :)

Always closes early! Attempted to order online multiple times and often closed more than an hour before the web says they close. Very poor customer service.

With out a doubt the WORST delivery experience I’ve ever had! The delivery man came to my door trying to start a fight!!? After refusing to deliver my food? I will NEVER deal with this sorry excuse for a business ever again… And by the way … Delivery man, anytime… I’ll dribble you all up and down Dorchester ave *sidenote: this is not the pretty girl in the photo.

We used 5 star regularly and are well aware of our budget and bank statements. They charged us 2 times even though we called and explained they charged us twice for the new years pizza we bought, they argued that other people called to complain the same double charges but they stated that they were charging us for previous orders, EVEN though we had previous order charges on our statement already. Instead of trying to work this out with my husband, they argued with him like we weren’t aware of our bank statement. 5 Star just lost loyal customers for the New Year we will purchase our Regular pizzas elsewhere.

We are staying at the Marriott and they gave us the menu for this place. The pizza pictured on the menu is not at ALL the same style they serve, it’s greasy Greek style. We got a Roma, and the«prosciutto» tastes terrible. I’m not even sure if that’s what it is. Oddly, the roasted peppers have minimal flavor. The sauce had an odd, bitter taste. We also got the buffalo chicken pizza. This was equally bad– the chicken was hard and dry and it lacked any flavor. I would NOT recommend pizza from this place. TERRIBLE!

LOVE5 Star Pizza! Have ordered delivery from here 1 – 3 times per month since moving to Dorchester area. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Their plain cheese pizza is a hit in our house. The crust is light and airy, and their mix of cheese is gooey and buttery. Must try their California Pesto Pizza with goat cheese, eggplant, mushrooms and tomatoes. Yum! Also their steak tip and Caesar salads are fantastic. Delivery always takes around 40min-1 hour but it’s worth it. Enjoy Five Star for a delicious night in!

Love the spinach salad with grill chicken, it comes with feta even though doesn’t say in description. It has fresh sautéed onions abs mushrooms! Our friend swears by their pizza.

Disclaimer: I’ve been ordering from here since I moved to Dorchester 2 years ago, and have raved about their food, and had a great experience with every order, both delivery & pick-up. Tonight, I placed an order via Grub Hub, which said to expect delivery around 8:30(1 hr after I placed the order). At 9, I called to check the status of my order, and the man on the phone said that the order just went out, and that I should see it any minute. He also stated that they had been very busy. At 9:20, I called back, and the man on the phone was surprised I hadn’t yet received my order. The driver arrived 5 minutes later, and I asked how long ago he had picked up the food for delivery; he said 10 minutes. Pizza was cold & soggy, and blue cheese dressing(which was paid extra for), was missing. I mean, seriously? Two hours for delivery, only to have to heat it up in my oven, and not receive everything that was ordered? Looks like I’ll be searching for a new pizza place. Only thing to redeem this was, upon calling, the driver returned with the dressing about 10 min later.

Just stopped in for a quick alive while we got our nails done and it was pretty delicious. I wasn’t expecting it to be so tasty but it was! It was also very fresh! I haven’t had any of their food but I do like the pizza and I would have it again.

The pizza is made fresh to order! Our order took a bit longer than expected but the pizza is pretty good! But very greasy. You probably don’t want to bring a bunch of people here to eat considering it’s very small but you could always order it to go!

I can assure you that«Five Star» is most certainly not. I placed an order through Foodler for delivery. My order included a soy milk smoothie. When the delivery driver arrived, he left my order with the receptionist at the front desk and told her that they didn’t have soy milk that day, so they had made me a regular milk smoothie instead. He then hurried off so he didn’t have to say this to me himself. I am allergic to milk. I do not order soy milk just for kicks(does anyone?). Thank goodness he at least said something, otherwise I’d be in big trouble. What the restaurant should have done was call me upon receiving my order to tell me that they were out of soy milk that day, and ask me if I’d like a regular milk smoothie OR have my $ 5 refunded. They actively chose not to do this. I called the restaurant and asked for a refund. They refused. They said they would give me a free smoothie the next time I ordered from them. Um, NEWSFLASH: I do not want to order from you again! I just want my freaking money back. I contacted Foodler to inform them of this unfortunate experience, and they were kind enough to refund my money, even though they were not at fault. I’m not sharing this information to cause trouble but I think it’s important for people to know about this complete lack of customer service(and to advise against ordering a soy milk smoothie).

The food here can be hit or miss. Of the handful of times I’ve gone, its either been really good or meh/gross. I no longer order delivery from them. On 3 separate occasions, I have had a delivery take over an hour. I live within 10 minutes of the restaurant. The last time this happened, I called to check on my order and the response was very rude. Things got worse when the driver finally showed up and actually blamed ME for his not showing up, claiming he came and saw my lights off(complete lie). When I choose to order out, I no longer use Five Star Grill.

My favorite pizza in the neighborhood. The buffalo tenders are also pretty solid. Definitely recommend.

I got a spinach salad with grilled chicken. and it was greasy. I didn’t know it was possible to get a greasy salad until now, gross. Also, delivery took nearly 2 hours and I live down the street.

Shame on your delivery driver for cutting me off and almost running me off the road, at HESS. To drive not even one block, and speed recklessly into your parking lot full of pedestrians. There’s a lot of competition out there and your employee cost you my business. Drivers are a moving representation of your business. Get it together!

5 Star more like they wish. Just moved to the neighborhood, second time we ordered from there. small order nothing overwhelming. And the 2nd time it’s taken over an hour!!! On a weekday at that! I don’t live on a sneaky lil side street, plenty of parking. yet over an hour to deliver… Matter of fact still waiting… Never again-just crossed them off our list!

VERY bad customer service!!! The food is pretty good but after the 4th or 5th time we got the wrong pizza we actually called to complain. First they argued with us, then they said they«they would rather lose a customer than replace the pizza» I don’t know about the rest of you but I would expect better especially from a place that I order from regularly! In this economy customer service is as important as the quality of your product. I will not order from here EVER again!

Their food is mediocre at best. I’ve ordered their pizza as well as their subs – both passed as edible but left something to be desired. One gripe I have about these businesses is that they do not tell you what their specials are over the phone. I ordered a pizza via phone, went in to pick it up, and found out that I could’ve ordered another pizza for just a few dollars more. I know it’s not in their interest to tell me about their specials but it still seems tacky to withhold the information… especially since I told the person on the phone that I was a new customer and that I was trying to feed my family on a budget. The down low: I believe there are better options in the vicinity and, unless you have a hankering for mediocrity and«meh“ness, I’d go elsewhere.

My family and I look forward to Friday night for Five Star Pizza. I have lived in many Boston neighborhoods, and by far, this is my favorite pizza place. The place does not appear to be anything special, however their food is awsome. The pizza is my favorite, especially the buffalo chicken pizza, and the spinach and feta pizza. They also have great(really big) sandwich wraps. This place is truly a hidden gem. I love Friday nights when I can get my Five Star fix!

these guys are jerks. they actually will call you and tell you not to order food a certain way if they don’t like how it is written out. I order from foodler, and the menu choices are not like a regular pizza shop. i want a tuna sub but on a wrap instead, and if you request wrap bread instead of sub roll, they will call you and yell at you. THEN god forbid you order a buffalo chicken sub, you seriously only get about 2 chicken tenders and then whatever is left at teh bottom of the fry basket. 90% of what they charge you for is the lettuce cause as soon as you say no lettuce, you basically have no sandwich. forget these fools. order from Balduccis instead. they are awesome.
