Best artisan pizza I have ever had in my entire life. Best fried Calamari appetizer I have ever had in my entire life. We came here during our stay in Boston. It was the closest place for pizza from our hotel and I can’t explain how happy I am that we came across figs. The staff was very pleasant and just the whole atmosphere was so awesome. The calamari was not like the typical fried calamari with marinara. We were literally served a huge serving(more like a heavenly pile) of calamari with jalepenos, red peppers, roasted garlic and an amazing spicy sauce under mixed greens. My mouth is melting just describing this dish. Oh! You can order half and half on the pizza which is a plus. So of course that’s exactly what we did! They deff have their fig jelly down to an art. The sweet and salty mixture on the fig and prosciutto pizza is amazing. The portobello and onion pizza was just as amazing! I wish there was a place like this in NY

We went in at lunch and ended having our usual pizza, the Bianco(EVOO, onions, mozzarella, arugula & tomato salad, balsamic) and salad(Roasted Beet Salad). The pizza was to die for, and it was almost like having a salad on top of the pizza! Pablo was our waiter and he was friendly as always. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy. The Charles Street setting is the best, and I love watching the people walk up and down the quaint street.

Small place, mediocre/good service, very good complimentary bread to the consistency of a moist, warm, recently baked bread/cake, huuuge crispy non-greasy pizzas to be shared unless you’re starving. One can do half of two pizza options to try more than one, which is indeed what we did: crispy eggplant and today’s special which was a BLT. Loved the eggplant pizza, wasn’t as in love with the BLT but that was also very good. Solid and reasonably priced lunch option.

Very quick and nice staff. Waiting line was less than 20 minutes for 2 people and i should say it was a busy Friday night. I didn’t like the bread that they serve. It’s more like a non-sweet sponge cake than bread. But olive oil that came with it was good. I didn’t like the Italian beer that they had either, but this is my personal preference. I generally didn’t liked their beer collection. Creaser salad was OK, but not exceptional. Pizza was different. It was well prepared and tasty. You could feel freshness of ingredient and attention to details. Although i didn’t like one of them but again it’s my personal preference and it doesn’t have anything with the fact that it was an awesome pizza. I’ll definitely go there again to try other foods on their menu. Don’t forget to add egg on top of the asparagus and ham pizza which i forgot it’s name.

Their chicken parm sliders are to die for. I’d go back and just get two orders of that. I’d also be super interesting in trying the meatball sliders. They’re bread is also so so good and could have probably OD’ed on it. We got half bacon and half of the fig pizza. It was plenty filling for two people(especially with the sliders app). The bacon pizza has thick cut bacon chunk and it’s UNDER the cheese which I thought was awesome. They definitely didn’t skimp. I was kind of bummed about the fig side though. I love the fog and prosciutto combo normally but 1. There was zero cheese on it(is it even a pizza then?) and 2. It almost seemed overcooked. Like you know when you burn cheese and the cheese kind of gets bubbly and dissolves into itself? That’s how I felt about the jam. It was too crunchy and then it became burnt jam with a slice of meat on it. Kind of a bummer. I’d definitely go back again though. The place is super small and doesnt take reservations so get there early!

If I could rate this place completely fairly, I’d give it a 3.5. We sat at the bar and the service was decent. The place was super busy on a Saturday night, and take out orders were coming in nonstop. I thought the chicken parm sliders were just okay. They came out somewhat fast, and were really hot. I just didn’t think they were anything special. The pizza on the other hand, took forever. Like probably an hour after we ordered it forever. It was good, but I don’t think it was worth that kind of wait. Got half red sox, half plain. I liked the way they did the sausage on the pie, it was the equivalent of ground beef.

Went for a late lunch on a Thursday. Small place but the food looked good. I’m a huge pizza person and have high standards for what I consider«good» pizza. The pizza here was pretty good. Me and a friend split the spicy shrimp(we got cheese on ours — extra if you want to add it). The crust was thin an crunchy. Sauce was good too. The reason this place only got three stars is because service here was so slow. They have one server who didn’t come over to take our order for at least 20 minutes. There were also at least four other tables waiting to order. Not sure if it’s always like this but not good for a first impression. Would I come back here? Maybe. But for the quality of pizza and the service I feel like I could get the same thing at other places

Food: 3.5÷5.0 Service: 3.5÷5.0 Value: 2.5÷5.0 Décor: 3.5÷5.0 Overall: 3.5÷5.0 Figs pizzas are pretty decent and I’m happy it exists in Boston. However — call me a purist, but I just can’t bring myself to give them the fourth star. I think they’re a very slightly worse/pure version of N*ples 45 in New York.

Excellent food! So fresh and service was great. Very friendly staff who kind of left you alone but would check up on you which I loved. The host was very friendly! We sat at the bar and it was nice watching them make the pizza! I highly recommend it!

HOLYMOLY! That’s some good pizza! Figs is a pretty tiny nugget along Charles St., with semi-crammed seating, a warm hearth towards the back, and plenty of food being dished out! My girlfriend and I instantly went for a half Fig & Prosciutto — half Red Sox, with a Peach salad to boot. Talk about a lot of food! The pizza was huge! The salad was substantial! Flavors explosions in my mouth, with a good spread of sweet and savory. The pizza crust is also pretty substantial, but not gummy or chewy. I also ordered a red sangria, which was definitely a good choice. It was full-bodied and hearty — definitely not just a rose + fruit thrown in last minute(like some places I’ve gone to. Yup, they dare call that Sangria…). Service was great, everything came out pretty quickly, Qs were prompty answered. I’m sold! Will definitely return for more!

We headed over to Figs one evening for an early dinner, only to find out that we weren’t the only ones to have come up with this grand idea. We had no trouble getting seated, but by the time we left there were a number of parties waiting for a table in the doorway. This Figs is located on Charles Street a short walk from Boston Common/Boston Public Garden. It is a narrow space with a line of bar style seating lining the left wall, while a number of tables are set on the right. It isn’t a huge space, and the sound really carries, which doesn’t make for nice intimate conversations. Their pizza was quite good though! One pizza was plenty for our two appetites, with 3 slices left over for later. We selected half Fig(Fig & Prosciutto, crisp rosemary crust, fig & balsamic jam, gorgonzola, prosciutto $ 22) and half Eggplant(Crispy Eggplant, tomato sauce, sliced tomato, crispy eggplant, mozzarella, herbed ricotta, basil $ 21), and were charged $ 22 for the pie. It arrived on an upsidedown cookie sheet, hot and well portioned, and sliced into eight uneven rectangles. I enjoyed both but preferred the juicier veggie pie despite the softer crust, while my DC preferred the crisper fig with the yummy jam and tougher to chew through thin cut cured pork. I also loved their bread even though every piece(I had two) I ate seemed to be a corner piece. If I get the chance to come back, I’d like to try the Crispy Calamari pizza, while my DC would like to get the Portabella. No desserts here, but I guess that keeps their patrons from lingering and hogging their limited table space. Single step up from sidewalk. Single person bathrooms located out back by the kitchen.

My favorite pizza place in Boston. I’ve been here multiple times and I cannot express my genuine joy for this cute and intimate place!!:D 1) their starter garlic bread with olives is so so good. They give a good amount too but don’t eat too much cause you can get full! 2) REDSOXISDELICIOUSOHMYGOODNESSGRACIOUSGETTHEREDSOX. It’s become my favorite 3) prosciutto and fig is good but sometimes it’s hard to pick apart the prosciutto pieces when they are too big! 4) their appetizers: Rhode Island calamari, asparagus fritto, and chicken sliders are my favorite 5) Bianco and crispy eggplant are definitely up there as well! I want to try the calamari next time, but this place never fails me. :)

Figs may have ruined all other pizza for me. One of the best pies I’ve ever had, hands down! I’ve been to this Figs twice, and the one in Charlestown once. The first time they had a red pie with short ribs on top, and it was incredible. Who would have thought short ribs on pizza would work(ok, I guess how could it not work), but wow — just amazing! The second time we were in Charelstown and opted for some of the specialty pies, like Red Sox and Chicken Sausage, and were not a big fan. That’s why yesterday we decided to stick to the classics — half Oliver’s and half Bronx Bombers(which I felt a little dirty ordering). The decision was a solid one. I loved the Oliver’s, which is a classic cheese pizza — the crust is perfect, as is the flavoring of the sauce and cheese. I’m not a Pepperoni fan, but my bf enjoyed that half of the pizza. The bread they serve in the beginning is also worth the calories, and they have a nice wine and beer list. The restaurant is tiny, though, and they don’t take reservations, so you may be waiting a while. They also do carry out, though, which is probably the way I’ll go next time!

Oh god the Bronx Bomber and Red Sox was so amazing! Came here twice visiting from San Jose, California. Both have been great experiences! It can get busy during afternoons and weekends and wait could vary depending what time you come in. I waited about 25 minutes with my buddy Brandon, and was definitely worth the wait! It’s amazing to see how the pizza is made and baked in the brick wall oven.

Figs is a very small, authentic, classic Beacon Hill spot nestled into Charles St. The classic beams and wood floors portray a very rustic, old, tavern… it brings you back to maybe what BH was like a long time ago. In total, it can probably seat a total of 40 people, and everyone is very crammed even with that. The pizza oven is right behind the bar, so you can see/smell all the flavors while you wait. Now, the best part about Figs, isn’t even the pizza… it’s the bread. I think I can say this is in the new top 2 breads I have ever had. It was warm right from the oven, spongy, with a delicious garlicky/rosemary seasoning. If I could choose one thing for the rest of my life, this bread would be it. The pizzas are HUGE. They let you divide them in half, which is a very smart choice A) because they are so big and B) because there are so many flavors to try. Our party of 7 ordered 5 pizzas and it was way way too many. We left with 4 boxes afterwards. Out of all the flavors ordered, the normal cheese was my favorite(obvi), but also because the others had so so much on them. Overall, the pizza was a 9÷10… I really can’t say anything bad about Figs. I guess the only thing is, I can’t quite figure out why it is named Figs, if it is all about the pizza!

At the end of the day, I grade a pizza place on the pizza. And this pizza just didn’t do it for me. The crust was too crackery and decidedly undersalted and there was some uneven done-ness. The service was pleasant, but too casual to match the more high-end décor. And the music, though a thrilling romp through the 90s, was too loud. But those facts matter less than the pizza, which I don’t plan on eating again.

Figs… I’ve heard about this place a lot, so I wanted to try it. I came early afternoon, sat at the bar and had a nice lunch of Spaghettini and a Peroni. The pasta was overcooked, but overall had a good taste. A couple of days later, I brought my girlfriend to try the place one early afternoon. We sat down and waited 10 minutes for water and another 10 to order food. I ordered the famous fig and prosciutto pizza while she got the spaghettini and winter salad. Salad came and it was pretty good. Over priced at $ 12 for mixed green, a couple slices of peaches, dressing and 4 pecans. Pasta came, again, pasta was overcooked but it was good. Pizza came and it was NOT pizza. It was pretty gross and it didn’t look anything like the pictures I see on Unilocal.Overwhelming amount of burnt fig. Couldn’t believe this pizza is their most popular. I think the chef didn’t make it correctly actually. I couldn’t eat it, so we sent it back. The waiter said, «well, it’s gourmet pizza.» I know what gourmet pizza is, and this wasn’t even pizza. I’ve been to Italy, buddy. No cheese, no tomato sauce, just crust, figs and a slab of meat lying on top. No thanks. Sadly…won’t be back.

Better for dates than groups(more tables of 2 than 4). A party of 3 had been waiting for a good 45 minutes for a table. And make sure to travel with your full party or you’ll have to wait until everyone arrives to be seated. Food was ok. Beet salad was as expected — generous serving that’s easily shared of your usual roasted beets, greens and nuts. Execution was good on the beets. Pumpkin goat cheese risotto was mediocre(and honestly a rip-off at $ 19). Hard to find very much pumpkin with just a few globs of goat cheese mixed in. Not well seasoned. All-in-all a bland dish. I took it home but will probably throw it out unless I find things to mix into it. My dinner companion’s spicy sausage pizza was decent. Actually had some flavor thanks to the carmelized onion. Good-sized portion too. All in all, if you’re hungry, it’s a decent place to order nice pizza and/or salad to share.

Came in around 5:30 pm on a weeknight, with a party of 5. The place was pretty busy already(no reservations at Figs, and we had to wait for our full party to arrive), so we sat at the bar until they could move us all to a regular table. The host was very courteous and accommodating, even though our party’s arrival was pretty staggered. The food itself is great — quality pizza, with sizing and pricing beyond reasonable. Loved the bread they served as we waited, and I loved that you could order a whole pizza with 2 different pizza halves. We got 4 «half pizzas»(Fig & Prosciutto, Red Sox, Portobello, and Crispy Eggplant), which was a good portion for all of us. We were divided on favorites, but people seemed to like the Fig & Prosciutto and the Red Sox the most overall. Rounded out to around $ 10/person…which is a STEAL for a sit-down restaurant in Boston.

So I’ve been having a beef with Boston because I so want to love this city as I travel here often for work but have never had an amazing meal. And that’s my real hurdle in being able to love this city. Enter Unilocal.Enter Figs. I’m chillin in the commons and so hungry the squirrels are looking tasty. Whip out my handy Unilocal and filter by 6 blocks. I only have enough calories remaining to take me that distance. I see a bunch of Nos and then I see a Unilocalie of mine 5 starred Figs. And he’s one of those Unilocalies you trust. Not the kind who 5 stars KFCs. It’s a short walk that lands you in the Beacon Hill neighborhood which is absolutely enchanting! What a place! Can I move here? You can feel the history, it’s actually palpable. Enter this cozy restaurant which only has about ten tables and help myself to a free seat at the equally cozy bar next to the brick oven(I’m no fool). Short but sweet wine list and resonable. glasses all $ 14 and under. So impressed! The warm bacon vinegarette salad was large for the price and delicious and comforting. Have you ever been able to say that about a salad. The meatballs in the red sauce were absolutely 5 stars. Perfection. You can get half and half on on the pizzas which minimizes the agony of choosing. Just loved this place and would come back again and again. Two of the best tables in the house would be the high top in the back for a party of 6 ish and the one up by the window for beacon hill patron watching. Enjoy!

Located in one of the cutest/historic neighborhoods in Boston, this place has a wonderful location. After you have explored Boston Commons and the infamous IG worthy Acorn St, stop by Figs for awesome and unique pizza. I went around 6PM on a Wednesday and it was not too busy. The restaurant is very tiny so if you have a party bigger than 5 people, I would call ahead of time just in case. Upon arrival, my friend and I were greeted by the front person who seemed a bit awkward and didn’t clearly seat us; it was more like my friend and I were both confused and finally figured out that he told us that we could sit where ever we liked. The pizza definitely deserves 5 stars, however service was almost nonexistent thus the 4 stars. From the start to finish, a waiter was not introduced to us and we literally had to ask for everything: the menu, bread, water, togo containers, and even our check. Usually if the service is horrible the review would not get anything over 2 stars, however since I moved to Boston I have found it very hard to find authentic restaurants that serve gastronomically amazing food. food: –complimentary bread: I was ready a couple of Unilocal reviews on the bread so I was a little excited to see if it was that good. Unfortunately, I have to respectfully disagree and say the bread was MEH. It honestly was more like a corn bread and not a fluffy and light homemade bread loaf. This was a good thing for me because it allowed me to save room for the pizza. –half calamari //half portobello: HUGE! There is only one size available for the pizza. ½ and ½ options are available and highly recommended! Very reasonably priced for the size and taste. I would recommend splitting the pizza between 2 very hungry individuals or it is even big enough for a party of three to share. If you enjoy calamari, the calamari pizza is a must! There is no cheese on the pie, however the marinara and perfectly fried calamari is enough for you to forget about the missing cheese. The arugula helps to bring that bitter balance to the sweet tomato sauce. The portobello slice was amazing as well. The truffle oil was not too overbearing and it went well with the mushrooms and fontina cheese. This pie would be great for the cheese lovers because it is overloaded with cheese. The dough was nice and thin, which was a good thing because the pizza toppings are literally the star of the show! ORDERING A PIZZAISHIGHLYRECOMMENDED. So much better than all of the mouth watering pictures. Overall, I would come back for the delicious pizza despite their nonexistent service. If there service was some what descent, this place would have gotten 5 stars in my book. Thank you for having such amazing and unique pizza topping options! I have to come back to try their other entrees. Transportation: Green line off of the Park St. stop and just walk through Boston Common(0.4mi walk away from T stop).

Went in and got seated immediately at 5:00 pm. Upon being seated the waiter promptly brings us water. After a long day, it was very welcomed. Firstly I’d like to thank all of the fellow Unilocalers. I followed your suggestions and ordered the fig and prosciutto/portobello mushrooms with caramelized onions. We also ordered a light beet salad with pistachio nuts and goats cheese. It was a lot to eat. That pizza is 16″!!! For two people, it’s a lot. Even though it’s thin crust, salad and pizza, oh did I mention the bread basket too? We were overstuffed and in a carb coma. Delicious and it wasn’t outrageously expensive. The service could have been better. Not that many patrons yet so I did not understand why it was hard to get his attention for more water. Nor did he come by to ask if we needed anything else. After our meal, he just gave us our check. By then it was getting busier. Yet he didn’t ask if we would like any dessert or coffee or whatever. I just thought it was odd. I guess he saw a couple that were tourist and figured we were doing a food crawl. Would I come back? If I’m in town and near by, yes. I wouldn’t go out of my way though. That one belongs to Neptune Oysters.

Carb overload! We were staying in Beacon Hill while visiting Boston, and had Figs on my list to try. Our last night here we decided to come for dinner. Small restaurant, I understand why people have to wait so long to be seated, only about 20 tables inside plus the bar and many are small tables for two. We came just before dinner rush. We sat down right away. We started with fresh hot complimentary baked bread with olive oil for dipping. Oh so good. But warning don’t fill yourself with the bread. We ordered handcrafted basil gnocchi. If you like gnocchi order this for sure, probably the best I’ve had. The gnocchi is fresh and with roasted tomato sauce was perfect. It was a nice surprise this was my husbands pick. We ordered ½ Fig and prosciutto and ½ Crispy calamari. It was good, the crust is thin crispy and yet still have a softness chew in the middle. I like the crispy calamari a little more than the fig and prosciutto. The toppings are fresh. Big portions and good prices for the area. The service was great, server was very attentive.

Go early, wait a tiny bit, pass on the bread(you will regret it) get a house salad(with the lemon vinaigrette) eat pizza(get some halves you can get more types that way) then go down the street to get a coffee to snap out of your food coma. But for real. The plain cheese pizza is so amazing. We ordered a fried shrimp. which was ok. I wouldn’t order that again, actually I don’t think I like seafood on pizza anymore. But regardless, get the cheese. P. S. There is no coffee here.

I was so excited to try Figs but was really disappointed with the whole experience. I went on a Thursday night with two friends and waited over an hour for a table. Many guests who arrived after us were seated before we were. I understand that they only have 1 or 2 tables for groups larger than two and that it’s a small space, but we were truly the last ones standing. When we were finally seated, our waiter was inattentive. The food was underwhelming as well. We ordered salads for the table, which were all good. The bacony brussels sprouts were tasty as well, but the focal point of the meal(the pizzas!!) were lacking in flavor. We ordered the fig/prosciutto and portobello pizzas and both were just average. We originally planned on ordering dessert but decided to go grab ice cream down the street instead because we were unhappy with the food. Definitely will not be returning!

It was a dreary night, so my friend and I opted to order a pizza from Figs. In order to try a couple of different toppings out, we decided to go with half and half order of the prosciutto/fig and the crispy eggplant. Both halves of the pizza were excellent, but the crispy eggplant might be the best thin crust pizza I have ever had. I loved the herby flavor and the lightly fried eggplant – and paired with the crust, the flavor was perfect. The fig and prosciutto was a bit too figgy for me – the prosciutto ends up getting lost in the dish and is sort of difficult to eat as well. I think that the fig actually takes the place of most of the sauce so I wasn’t a huge fan of it. Overall, despite being underwhelmed by the overload of fig, this place serves up some of the best thin crust pizza I have ever had – I will definitely be back.

As someone who only enjoys a very occasional slice of pizza, I was caught off-guard by how much I enjoyed the pizza at Figs. Bonus points for being able to customize the pizza to be half and half! We got half Red Sox and half Portobello and the Portobello side was the clear winner. It was packed with fragrant mushroomy-aromas, meaty slices of portobello, and seasoned just right. Among the three of us, we each had about 3 slices and were more than satisfied, with slices left over. It came to about $ 8/person, which felt very reasonable since pizza is meant to be shared. I would definitely come back for the Portobello pizza for my next pizza-with-friends fix.

This is a cute restaurant on Charles St. That specializes in gourmet pizza. The restaurant is small and cozy so it easily gets crowded and especially on weekends, the wait can be quite awhile. I have tried quite a few pizzas on the menu. My favorites are the calamari and the Red Sox. You have the option to order half and half toppings and they charge you for the full pizza of the highest priced item. The calamari pizza is basically fried calamari topped in pizza dough. It is quite interesting and delicious. The calamari is crispy and cooked perfectly. The Red Sox pizza is basically sausage, cheese, and tomato sauce. It is flavorful and delicious. The pizza dough thin and crispy. They use a brick oven you it gets this char on the pizza dough. The service here is pretty slow. Because the space is small and cramped, there are usually limited staff per tables. Therefore, there are delays on service and requests. However, make sure you order everything once the server stops by so it speeds things up. Otherwise, you end up increasing your wait time on service.

Holy pizzas! We had not intended to come here but so thankful the food gods led us to Fig. The brick oven pizzas are enormous! They allow you to get ½ one way and ½ another– we went with the portobello and the Red Sox. The portobello was amazing! The truffle oil just makes the pie melt in your mouth. Which was unfortunate for the Red Sox, a sausage roasted red pepper and red sauce, because it just couldn’t compare. Still great in it’s own right. The décor is casual with a decent size bar. From the bar and some nearer tables you can watch them make your pie. A definite find of delicious joy! Highly recommend. It is a small place and fills up fast!
