Went here for there NYE party. It was organized well, the space was nice but I have to give them one star as we paid almost 100 for the party that ended abruptly at 1 due to some clown pulling the fire alarm. Staff was polite but refused to start the party again. one star as we didnt get what we paid for.

Went here over the weekend for a friend’s 30th Birthday. We came in really early when we arrived at the hotel around 4pm for a drink and to relax. The bartenders were so friendly and candid. We had a blast talking with them and they really helped set the tone for the evening. We left the hotel and had dinner and went to another club up the street who treated us terrible, so we decided to come back to end our night at Emerald. So glad we did! Music was great, drinks were served promptly and it was never packed, so that dancing and moving around was comfortable. Overall, a great time, would love to come back again!

I went to Emerald Lounge on Black Friday and Saturday. I’m going to start off with the pros. The whole place is a decent size — think of it as a rectangle, the top half is the bar area with couches then you go up the stairs to the second half and you have a DJ and a dance floor with some couches on the side + wall mirrors. I loved that they have a designated dance floor and the fact that there’s a DJ. On that Friday night I think Boston was kind of dead — I had gone to another lounge beforehand and there was only a handful of people. In Emerald there was no cover and no one was really dancing — only these three girls who were trying to get wild but no one was trying to have it lol. On Saturday I decided to come back and there was a $ 20 cover charge per person — we were lucky and only paid $ 20 for the two of us. As soon as we went in we realized they were hosting a high school reunion too. It was a mixed crowd, half of the people were there because of the reunion and the other half were random people trying to have fun. Overall, I had a blast on Saturday for about an hour and a half and then everyone left(the reunions people decided to call the night early and go home around 11:45 — they couldn’t hang lol). The whole thing was pretty crowded for that hour and a half and people were actually dancing/drinking. The DJ was playing some pretty solid music which made me so happy — I was dancing my butt off. Overall, I think the set up of this place is cool(I love dancing so the fact there was a separate dance floor was awesome). This goes to show you that if there were more people then this place can definitely be a lot of fun. Also, sorry, I can’t review the prices — I didn’t pay for my drink!

The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is because of SOME of the staff members are great. Our bartender was delightful and so sweet. And the guy who escorted us to our table was also such a gentleman. Besides those two great humans, the place sucked. My friend wanted to go there to celebrate her bday. When I got seated, I had to wait 30 minutes for my bottle to arrive! the manager came and spoke to me twice, the first time he said there was an error with something and that the bottle would arrive in a few min. so I’m like okay, that’s cool, I’ll let it slide. But after waiting an additional 20 minutes, he comes up to me and I ask him what is going on. He says he was waiting for my other guests to arrive to bring the bottle. I was so annoyed at that point. I just tell him to bring me my bottle, and they finally did. 30 minutes for a drink is just unacceptable. They weren’t even busy! Another problem is the damn bathrooms. It’s like a house of mirrors in there, it’s an adventure to try and get out from there. But what really ended up ruining the night was the DJ. Music was absolutely terrible. Out of all the songs played I’d say about only 3 were good. He must also think he’s Tiesto or someone important. I went up to him to request a song for my friends birthday and I call him, he looks at me then looks away, I call him again and ask him if he’s ignoring me. He puts up his pointer finger to tell me to wait a min. Then some dude comes up to me and tells me no requests. Like really? Are you really that self-righteous that you couldn’t pull away from your terrible dj-ing skills to tell me urself no requests? No wonder why it was so dead on a Saturday night. Will never be coming here again. Worst money ever spent…

This place is perfect if you like empty dance floors, unsanitary bathrooms(port-o-potty like atmosphere), a bland music selection, pretentious maxxinistas and bartenders who steal credit card information and rack up over $ 400 making it a night to remember since you have to deal with your credit card company for the next week disputing charges.

I normally just Unilocal about food, but we were treated so nicely by the general manager of Emerald Lounge that I have to put in a good review for this lounge. We came here for a friend’s 30th birthday party without reservation and we all got in without paying the $ 20 cover charge. You have to check in on Unilocal in order to waive that fee before 11pm. The club is classy with the Emerald City theme. One area of the lounge is dedicated to dancing and the other is the bar. There’s an outdoor patio next to the bar(it was opened when we went this past Sat in Oct) and a rooftop area that is opened when the weather’s warm. The drinks were strong and the bartenders definitely didn’t water them down. However, they were a bit on the pricier side. A prosecco and a rum and coke were $ 21. Other than that, the music was fantastic. Everyone had a blast and the crowd wasn’t rowdy. It wasn’t too packed where everyone would be rubbing their sweaty arms on you or spilling their drinks all over you. I would definitely recommend this venue for a fun night out if you were to party with a group of friends.

This bar was very accommodating to my frequent gas releases. I scarfed down two Mac and Cheeses and 7 chipotle Barbacoa bowls with black beans. The frequent Fabreezing was impeccable and helped mask my quite discerning scent. However, the fumes were too much, and I was very politely escorted outside by two fione bouncers. Would give this 25 stars if I could. XOXO UPDATE: It’s been two days. I still have rancid gas. Would give this place 2,000 stars if possible.

Place is nice but expensive. Sorry I’m not cheap but 15 dollars for margarita and 12 for long island. And cover was 10 to get in. If I go again I’m going to have to go old school and sneak in nips like i did back in the day lol

Ordered bottle service here for my sister’s bachelorette party via email and Tyrese was quick to respond and when we showed up for our reservation, he was on hand to take us to our table(great service!)… Our bottle service waitress Bonnie was also fantastic and just so sweet(give that girl a raise!) Only minus was that the music was more house than top 40/pop/hip-hop for the first hour or so(we showed up at 10:30p), but after a while the music started to pick up and everyone was on the dance floor… and then of course the lights shot on at 2a sharp… oh Boston… hehe

Staying at the Revere for business. Tried the pool lounge first because we have nothing like it at home. 10:00 at night the pool lounge was closed because it was TOOCOLD in June! Went to Emerald instead. Very trendy. Wednesday nite, at 10:00 not too busy, no one dancing. Good music(house) with plenty of seating. Again, great staff. Could see the potential for a fun dance party, if the weather was right

Went to Emerald last Saturday and it was awesome! The atmosphere was sleek and the DJ played great music! I especially liked the drinks. And our bartender Brad was so much fun! He was very friendly and made us some amazing drinks! I can’t wait for this summer to start we will definitely be back!

This club sucks… Paid $ 450 for VIP. And are still very confused on what we paid for. First off, there was absolutely no separation on where the VIP& common area was. The club was slow for a Saturday night. The service for the table was super slow. Drinks were empty and warm since the ice melted and watered them down. If that wasn’t enough, because it was slow, they were letting the people that did show up sit in the VIP area who didn’t even pay for it. What did we pay for??? A bottle of liquor we couldn’t even keep at our table because Massachusetts law doesn’t allow guests to touch liquor.

I went here when it first opened a few years back and I had a great time. Although there WAS a bit of a wait, it had just opened(first of all) and unlike many/most Boston area clubs the wait is actually INDOORS(what a concept) so you are shielded from the cold in the fall/winter/spring nights. Once we got inside, the ambiance was trendy, yet classier than sleazy nightclubs. The theme is(obviously) green neon. It has both a lounge area AND a dance floor so you can take turns in between if you can’t decide what you’re in the mood for. Drinks are pricey, but this is a club in an upscale hotel in Boston so create expectations accordingly. Expect to spend at least $ 13 per cocktail. So why only three stars? I recently returned and, for whatever reason, they decided it would be prudent to add a $ 20 cover. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s a fun time… but $ 20 cover + expensive drinks fun time? No. You can go right down the street to Storyville and get in for free to have about an equal clubbing experience. And there are a multitude of lounges in Boston hotels that don’t charge cover(just expect less dancing). Apparently if you check in on Unilocal you can get the fee waived ASLONGAS you go there before 11pm. Basically, this place could be good if you plan ahead. Plan to get there early and try to find some way around the obnoxious cover fee. Then maybe it’s worth your time.

HORRIBLE. A definite spin-off from the sleaze joints from the 1960’s and 1970’s known as the Combat Zone(in Boston). The lighting is tacky, sort of a strip club ambiance. The place is a joke. They make people wait in line like a bunch of idiots and when you are finally let through the door, there is nobody inside the club. They want people to think this place is the up and coming club of Boston with people outside the doors. What a joke. Such a loss of revenue for this joint. Their dress code is outrageous. A collared shirt is a must. WHY? This place is a dump and they want you to be all dressed up. What the heck is wrong with a nice shirt or a sweater? No, they want a collar. Well, if that is the case, they should go to the Catholic Church Rectory and gather up the Priests with their collars. One man waited in line for well over an hour and when he got to the door, he was told he did not have proper shoes. How rude of the management doing this to a man and his date. Making them wait and trying to embarrass him. Right then I knew this place was no good, a real true barroom. By far, this dive will go down he dumps really fast. It is a disgrace to the Revere Hotel. By not letting the patrons in they are losing money hand over fist. Sorry to say but the management must amoral degenerates. Just looking through many of the comments on line, this hole in the wall will never survive. Never saw anything like it. They refused to let people dance. They said they do not have a «dancing permit». What the hell is that all about? I have got to call the Mayor’s office and the Liquor Licensing board to find out out why this place is so screwed up. I am sure they must have a ton of complaints. Hopefully, people will read all these comments so they do not book any parties here. They make the party guests wait in line even though a table has been reserved. WTF is that, oh really !!! Hands down, the absolute worst night spot in Boston. BEWARE. The drinks were overpriced, the employees were not too friendly, and the locks on the bathroom doors are broken. Oh ya, a real high class place… NOT even close. The DJ sucks. Just when a person is getting into a song, he turns another song on and most of the music was horrible. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, not even someone I don’t like. That is just how trashy this place is. Oh ya, the drinks were too overpriced and the food was not worth a dime. You will be disappointed with the tiny servings. Go to McDonalds first before coming here or you will starve. Honestly, I did not want to give this place only one star but my guests and I could not find anything, no, not even one good thing about it. The authorities need to start sending in some undercover cops just for the bad experience they will endure and how there are double-standards for the guests. This borders on discrimination. Hands down, the worst night spot in Boston. BEWARE.

Emerald is definitely one of my favorite places to go out in Boston. I’m not a huge fan of clubs but I like going somewhere where dancing is still an option, so Emerald is perfect. There’s lots of seating, which I really appreciate considering that in clubs the only option is get a table or stand forever and die in your heels. The drinks are expensive but very normal for the area. Revere rooftop is so fun and an absolute gem considering that we’re in Boston, and the summer nights we went to the rooftop and then down to Emerald were always a great time. The GM Aggelos is sooo nice and always tries to be as accommodating as possible. I’ve had several friends throw birthday parties and get tables here, and Aggelos has always done a great job helping everyone get in and making sure everyone is taken care of. Tyrese, who is one of the managers, is also wonderful and super helpful with setting up guest lists etc. Also — underrated but the fact that you are in a hotel and don’t have to wait in line OUTSIDE in the dead of Boston winter is so crucial.

First things first. I love the p*mp who always sits at the same table alone with a cane. Not making this up, go see for yourself. Decent club. I like the interior and the music was good. Also loved the fact that there are many places to sit. Crowd changes throughout the night. From like 9−11pm it’s mostly couples or people in their 30’s and early 40’s, nicely dressed and classy. After that come the Europeans, out of towner’s and the bougie wannabes. Drinks are not good, staff is ok. Entering the club be prepared to walk the longest distance of your life. It literally feels like a Tough Mudder course. Walk up stairs, make a left, walk up more stairs, walk down a long hallway, pass coatcheck, pass bathroom, walk another long hallway, turn right and there you are. Long story short: Very nicely decorated. Modern design, nice bathrooms and plenty of seating. It has it’s downfalls but if you can overlook it and are with a good group of friends you will enjoy the night.

It took a 3rd bartender to realize one of their liquids in their guns was wrong. The stupid DJ kept changing songs every 30 seconds. Are you serious? Really young and eccentric crowd. Hipster wannabes. If I see another bearded idiot with suspenders and bow tie I may have to slap him. The management is so good here I just don’t understand why they won’t put better skilled bartenders behind the bar.

We decided we wanted a little dancing so we ended up at this lounge. It was easy enough to get into and if you use the check in offer the cover is free. The DJ wasn’t half bad but the crowd was a strange mix. Still had fun though.
