I went here after receiving a gift certificate. This is a cute place in the middle of downtown, very convenient. When I went, the front desk had major difficulties adding me to the system. They were friendly, but they kept asking me the same thing. It almost made me think they were not paying attention.
The massage therapist was okay and always asked for feedback. It started of as a skin rub and progressed to full body weight and elbows in my back. Luckily, we found a happy medium. It took us a while to get the right pressure, but she was always checking in to make sure I was comfortable. At the end of the massage, she also helped me with a couple of stretches.
If I didn’t have a gift certificate, I’m not sure that this would have been my first choice.

I read some of the ups and downs — but decided to go. Appointment was easy to get and Lisa did a fab job on my brows… so I am going back.

I had been a long time patron of this EG until recently. I have been going to Jill Hanson since at least 2008 and have never thought to go anywhere else because she is terrific. She’s always on time (never more than a 5 minute wait, for sure), she has a great sense of humor and tries to make her waxing session quick and painless– this is for both lip and bikini.
Going to EG is a little expensive and parking in that area on a weekday can be difficult (they’re not open weekends). The Devonshire garage is only $ 5 dollars if you get there after 6pm, but if you’re there before that time it’s $ 7 for two hours. That’s not a lot of money when you consider you are parking in the heart of Boston’s Financial District, but when you add it to the cost of waxing sessions every 5 weeks or so, it adds up. This is kind of the reason I am not returning to this particular EG; I work outside of the city and Jill is no longer offering appointments after 4:30PM.
I kept going because I love her– but it’s been too difficult to meet her appointment times. I highly recommend using her services if you work in that neighborhood.
I wish her and the Winthrop Square crew the best– I will be back if I can’t find anyone as good as you. :)

I only got a manicure here. Although the manicurist was extremely nice and friendly, this place did not have the professional vibe and atmosphere you’d expect from a «spa». The towels were dirty, all of the furniture outdated and unclean and the staff did not have the type of finesse a spa requires.
My nails do look nice and the manicurist took her time to paint them carefully but there were no extras outside of that. I received a weak excuse for a hand massage in between cutting my cuticles and filling my nails and that was it. You could receive much better service and an equal paint job for $ 12.

Bought a series of six bikini waxes here, wish I hadn’t.
Choose this place cause it is super close to work, seemed relatively inexpensive (after Exhale!) and from the beginning, was impressed that it was a «quick in –and-​out procedure.» Seemed like I had found the kind of waxing vallhala that my BeFri in NYC constantly lords over my head.
That said, in terms of bikini waxes, have had some that were ok re, none great and yesterday’s was pretty bad. Very nice girl, but she missed a bunch of places, tore the –ahem– patches off in the wrong direction and dumped so much powder on that I ended up with powder all over my clothes. I get waxed to feel sexy– with strange little pockets of hair left after this wax, I felt anything but.

I went back for a third go-​round and it was not good a good wax job again. I wouldn’t go back.

Jill does nice eyebrows. They are usually running behind schedule, sometimes as much as 20 minutes (annoying). Location is great, price is the same as other places in the area; the place is super clean. My one gripe is the hard-​sell on packages. I don’t want a package. I don’t care if you’re having 50% off packages until the next blue moon circles the earth. I don’t want to have to figure out on the spot if you’re ripping me off if I buy one. Just let me pay and go.

Although my roommate swears by this place, I’m pretty surprised that people *love* this place for waxes. Maybe I didn’t have a great person, but she wasn’t thorough at all (no crack wax), plus it was very expensive. I must not have gotten the «good person» b/​c it wasn’t a smooth, clean wax.

I got a bikini wax here awhile ago. Its clean and easy to get an appointment. Nothing special. The prices are normal for Boston. I’d go back if I needed to go someplace close to work and pronto.

I continue to be really happy with the service at EG. I continue to have my brows done there. I have also had a massage and a facial there. Very pleased. The staff couldn’t be nicer there.

I go to this EG for my eyebrows, lip, underarm, and bikini.
The girls here are super friendly. I never have a problem with booking an appt on the same day that I come in.
Even on Friday afternoons!
EG has private rooms for your treatments. The rooms have a very relaxed vibe to them.
Personally, I need to be in a private room when getting waxed.
I don’t know how you ladies wax out in the open in nail salons… Obv that doesn’t apply to bikini waxes but you get me.
Overall, a great place that makes things simple for you.
Unfortunately I can only go when I can splurge.

This place rules. I’ve now gotten a couple massages here and have started getting regular brazilian waxes.
Massages: Kristin gives an awesome hot stone massage. I highly recommend it. My only ‘complaint’ is they need a little more soundproofing in the rooms. You can hear a little noise from the hallway.
Waxing: Jill is AWESOME. She is very professional and friendly. She will wax as much (or as little) as you want. In and out in a flash. I highly recommend her for this service. And the waxes are very competitively priced for Boston.

I’m feeling succinct. Hot stone massage with Michelle and pedicure with Christine. Both excellent.

Best Brazilian I’ve ever gotten.
