Probably the best pizza in back bay Boston. Very fast delivery and friendly workers. I’m a huge pizza lover but I hate when I eat pizza that makes me feel like I’m eating an oily mess. This is not the case here. It feels like healthy pizza if that makes any sense. Tastes amazing. I recommend pepperoni and the hulk

Only pizza I’ve ever had that I could realistically compare to the invention of Facebook and falling in love combined, it’s that good, and they make their own soda and beer, the staff alone will make you feel like you’ve won the lottery emotionally, Jess and Jackie in particularly, you could almost live off this place if they made their own tooth paste and had showers

I like to have pizza the night before a long run. I was planning to do the last 16mi of the Boston Marathon course the next morning and this pizza was the perfect carb the night before. We got the large pesto pizza and even my picky husband loved it. Great choice!

Boston seems a bit grungy to me, that’s one of the reasons I love it. Dirty water is in the heart of this grungy area, I love their free water I love their employees. Right after I did a good walk in the parks and near the river, I ate pizza here. Life’s good :)

Friendly service, great location, awesome use of high quality ingredients. Is it the absolute best pizza I’ve had in my entire life? No, but it’s def deserving of the top 10, especially because did I mention quality ingredients? Love a food business that stands for something. Seating here can be tricky on a busy day, we hung around awkwardly with our slices for 5 – 10 mins but then we got lucky and snagged a coveted window seat. My 5 year old daughter lives for pizza– but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have discerning pizza taste. She knows not all pizza is created equally. She loved this though, scarfed 2 whole slices into her little 30 pound body(cheese and pepperoni… I tried a bite of each of those and had my own«hulk» slice). Great beverage selection too– organic lemonade for her and a house-brewed IPA for me. Prices aren’t even bad, I pay the same for a slice in suburban CT.

We came here because of the great reviews. The pizza was great. We enjoyed a slice of BBQ Chicken pizza as an appetizer while we waited for our ½ Mediterranean ½ Chicken Parm pie to cook. All three flavors were great and it’s true there must be something in the water to make the crust perfect; super thin yummy crust. The establishment is very small — 4 two tops and 4 long community style seating to get to kind your neighbor. So be prepared to sit cozily in this tiny hot spot or take out for comfort. They were out of all drinks except Coke and diet Dr Pepper in the drink cooler and when we asked to buy a t-shirt, they checked and were out of all of those too!!! Very odd. So overall GREAT food, questionable service.

I came here because of the reviews and I’m glad I did. There was quite a line around 230 pm on a Tuesday, and everyone was taken care of in a timely manner. I got a slice of pesto and cheese. The pesto was very good, the toppings were proportionate but I wish there were a little more. The cheese was very delicious and fresh tasting. The crust was perfect, and the cheese slice was also very good but I wish it had more sauce. They have a list where all their ingredients come from which I liked. It’s small and cozy, and it was pretty full from when I entered to when I left. I was satisfied with the food.

Apparently its all in the water Dirty Water Dough has delicious pizza hands down! Their customer service and interpersonal skills, however, need some work. M friend and I decided to order a small pizza, half bbq chicken, half«the hulk.» Such a great mix! Glad we got to try both! The pizza had th perfect texture, taste, and thickness. We probably waited for about 15 minutes to get our freshly made pizza, totally worth it! Love that they have seats next to the windows to see whats going on out on Newbury Street.

Being on Newbury St., I had high expectations for Dirty Water. I wanted it to be everything I needed in life. It probably could be, I mean, the pizza is amazing. Gwynn and I ordered 1 large to take home, before we were headed out for a night of clubbing. The crust is thick, fresh, bready, and flavorful. The cheese to sauce ratio is perfect. I was impressed with the overall flavor and texture experience. The only reason they lost a star was that the service was actually horrible. We called 40 min ahead, and then had to wait at least another 20 minutes once we got there, only to find out the pizza was on the oven the whole time. However, that won’t hold me back from coming back again. Dirty Water is in fact, worth it!

As a New Yorker, I’m definitely a pizza snob and most of the time don’t even try pizza places in Boston. Every time I go Dirty Water, the pizza is fresh and delicious, the beer is ice cold, and the staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. Definitely my go-to for pizza in Boston.

Definitely will be returning! I really enjoyed the crust — spongy and not too thin. I thought the pizza was great except I will not be getting anything with steak again. Their shaved steak is poor quality and tasteless. It was a little too loud in there, however there weren’t many people so we had our pick of seats. I will definitely go back! Great(big) pizzas for good prices!

This is a small place so there’s a lack of seating, but otherwise it’s awesome! Great pizza, amazing dough, and a good beer selection. They use local ingredients in their pizzas and a board tells you where everything came from, which is cool.

3.5 stars Good, reasonably priced pizza along with friendly customer service. We stopped here while visiting Boston from DC, and while this doesn’t make my ‘Pizza I Still Dream About’ list, it was very tasty. I love that they let you do half and half topped pizzas. As a vegetarian/omnivore couple, we rarely agree on pizza toppings and there was no way I could finish even a small pizza on my own. The split pizza let us both have what we wanted — and meant that we didn’t have to fiddle around with leftovers while traveling. Both the Hulk(pesto and sliced tomatoes) and Big Papi(pesto, rabe, and sausage) got thumbs up. The toppings are generously applied and the crust is thin, but not crispy. All of the staff here were lovely and pleasant, and the service was efficient — we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. My only regret is not trying the mac and cheese pizza…

Really awesome, small pizzeria on Newbury Street. Prices are fairly reasonable, and they have a pretty extensive selection of specialty toppings, or a make your own system. Huge props to them for having roasted red bell pepper — the best. Thin crust pizza here, very similar to Ottos that we used to love in Harvard Square. We called in our order, so we can’t really speak to the dine in experience. However, they are speedy and very courteous. Our order was on time, and we were in and out the door for pickup, which is much appreciated. This is take out pizza, after all — I want it fast. We ordered calzones and made the mistake of ordering too much(is that even possible?). Instead of a usual single portion, a small calzone actually a small pizza folded over itself. So we ended up with the awkwardly awesome situation of having too much pizza. I will say, since the crust is pretty thin, the calzone style doesn’t really hold up well and the thin parts of the crust get soggy. Definitely something you need to eat asap. I still think I love Ottos more, but for a close to home option I’m really glad we found this place!

I tend to find most restaurants on Newbury Street overpriced and disappointing, but Dirty Water Dough Pizza Co proved me wrong this time! My friend and I ordered a small pizza(half Steak n’ Cola, half Abe Froman), and got to enjoy it at an awesome two-person table that over-looked Newbury Street. First of all, the pizza was huge for a «small» pizza and reasonably priced at only $ 14. Although both halves of the pizza were delicious, my absolute favourite was the Steak n’ Cola — I have no doubt that I ordered the best flavour on the menu. The steak was fresh and there was a ton of gorgonzola cheese, but my favourite part about it was the caramelized onions — they were SO soft and sweet. Overall, this pizza nailed it with the sweet n’ salty combo of steak, cheese and caramelized onions.

I’m from New York and will be the first to brag about knowing great pizza when I stuff it in my face. Dirty Water Dough makes damn good pizza, among many other delicious things you can eat and/or drink. When I stumbled upon DWD, it was like I tripped and fell face first into a heaven that consisted of nothing but crispy dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings from every corner of the supermarket. I’ve indulged in a few too many of their pies, and I’m here to bestow my wealth of knowledge and deliciousness upon you. My favorites: cheese and margherita(can’t go wrong with the classics), The Hulk(basil pesto sauce, cheese, and tomato… YUM), and The Dirty Taco(basically taco fixings topped with Doritos… on a pizza… DUH!). Seriously though, I could eat an entire pie of each — they are that good! And when you think of pizza, you think of the what else? Oh yeah. Beer! DWD has their own house IPA, and if you’re an IPA fan, you’ll die and go to the aforementioned heaven when you have your first sip. So if you haven’t guessed already, I’m a fan of Dirty Water Dough. Go get dirty, people.

Had to head down to the Back Bay Area today and was craving for a good slice of pizza. Found this place and grabbed two slices! Bbq chicken and sausage and broccoli rabe. Loved the crust, nice and thin at the center of the pizza and then the ends were nice and fluffy… NOM! Couldn’t finish the two slices cause they were both pretty decent sized slices. Toppings were good, I liked both of them. The only thing I would say is the chicken on the BBQ chicken pizza was on the drier side. But this might also be because they were reheating slices that were out. Price wise. It was alright? Normal cheese for $ 2something and everything else was $ 3.75? Maybe on the more expensive side, kind of like Ottos.(I don’t eat pizza all that often so I really have no idea what is cheap or expensive) I think I like Ottos better…, but this is perfect for near Back Bay and right on Newbury! Lots of space/tables to sit at. They have this seating area right near the window. I don’t even know how to describe it but it’s cute! If it weren’t for the fact that it is still cold out, I would’ve definitely loved sitting by the window and looking out at Newbury. Store is clean and staff is super friendly! They also serve beer!

Pesto. Potato. Goat cheese. All on one pizza? Yes. Yes so much. Fast service, and friendly. When I was staring at the pizzas trying to figure out what was veggie and what wasn’t he told me and picked them up so I could see them better. The second he said pesto I was in though. Then he said the rest and I saw it and he said it was probably their best seller for vegetarians I was sold. Should have gotten two but its January and we’re supposed to be healthy now, right?
